  1. QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ May 1, 2011 -> 06:14 PM) Seattle's not convenient for me....its still 250 miles away and I'm making the effort to be there. If I lived that close to Chicago, you bet I'd be at the Cell for this key series on Tuesday and Wednesday. Lmao key series.. key series to keep us out of last place!
  2. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2011 -> 06:07 PM) So, you're paying for the games, just indirectly enough that you don't realize it. False.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2011 -> 06:06 PM) You're getting free cable? Yep. Included in my rent. College town FTW!
  4. It is literally impossible to make a case for Ozzie.
  5. Why the f*** would I waste my money to watch this garbage team play when I can watch them for free on my TV?
  6. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2011 -> 04:25 PM) Unless someone's going to be divorcing JR.
  7. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ May 1, 2011 -> 04:22 PM) Remember, it's not just one person, it's an ownership group. The Sox are in one of the best financial positions in MLB right now. Little to no debt, very few unmovable large contracts, and a constant rumor of insurance on their worst contract. The team probably turned ~$20 million in profit last year on top of that, and has been profitable pretty much every year for the last decade. Good, so we don't have to worry about going the route of the Dodgers. Thanks for the info, Balta
  8. THREE WALKS FOR JP!!! Holy crap, its a miracle! He might get his OBP over .300!
  9. QUOTE (iamshack @ May 1, 2011 -> 04:17 PM) That's what I was joking about regarding the MLB taking over the organization... Yeah, they would trade guys to free up some money I would think. And I am sure JR is making cash hand over fist on the Bulls right now...but yeah, there will be some money lost if this continues... I know, but I'm just wondering if there is really a possibility. I do keep forgetting about the Bulls' success, but I imagine he has money set aside for both teams, and probably doesn't dip into one for the other? I could be wrong, I guess.
  10. Oh, and this is Pierre's first multi-walk game this season! Yes! I love having our leadoff hitter with an OBP under .300 Small ball at its finest.
  11. I mean really, if we don't average more than 15K the rest of the way.. is Reinsdorf going to be able to pay these guys' salaries? I ask in all seriousness, because I don't know how finances work that well in the MLB. Does he have some kind of massive bankroll, or are they dependent on things like jersey sales, concessions, and ticket sales?
  12. Lillibridge is our best player... sad.
  13. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ May 1, 2011 -> 03:26 PM) But Walker fixed Lillibridge. Its hard for me to fathom Ozzie not playing Dunn today. At this point, nothing Ozzie does surprises me. He's in his own little world.
  14. Anyone know Reinsdorf's estimated worth?
  15. And I imagine NO ONE thought Humber would be our best pitcher going into May. to him!
  16. Humber pitched his ass off tonight, again. Good to see he's still firing.
  17. The only positive is that we're seeing the best pitching the AL has to offer!
  18. Hope these guys like playing in front of crowds of 12K-15K.
  19. Anyone who still has optimism in this team needs to be kicked in the balls. Hopefully that would wake them up.
  20. QUOTE (SoxAce @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 09:26 PM) He was kidding if you knew Tizzle. Phew. Good to hear it.
  21. So, we've f***ed up Thornton so bad, he can't even pitch when hes NOT closing now. Awesome.
  22. QUOTE (Flash Tizzle @ Apr 30, 2011 -> 09:23 PM) IT'S ONLY APRIL! How's that Kool-aid taste? Hopefully, its fruit punch.
  23. Thornton = Politte? Maybe not yet, but he's on his way.
