  1. Wow, what an amazing play by the Brew-crew. Too bad they didn't get their player in the ASG!!!!!!!!!!! GO SOX FANS!
  2. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 05:47 PM) I caught just the last part of it, but he seemed "moved" awesome avatar fyi Yeah, I saw her face and I couldn't stop laughing. Sox Fan in Pink Hat FTW!!!!!!! GO AJ GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  3. QUOTE(Linnwood @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 05:45 PM) AJ Live on Comcast Sportsnet right now f***! I missed it. Did he cry?
  4. GIMME A HELL YEAH! WE f***ING ROCK!!!!!!!!!!!!! WAY TO GO SOX FANS, AJ DESERVES IT!
  5. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 04:22 PM) If you are reading this, STOP! AJ NEEDS YOU. Read this later. Hahaha. Unfortunately, the time has passed. GREAT READ! He has a very unbiased view of the team it seems, and he is very intelligent. KUDOS!
  6. Big Bad Bobby Jenks! I love this guy. Unfortunately, I didn't get to see the end of the game last night. So I can't really comment on this situation specifically, but I can say I seem to remember other times where this has happened. He has come in in the 8th, and gotten hit around a little bit. Maybe the ADD/ADHD thing is valid, who knows?
  7. Yeah, Buehrle never has been a mid-90's fastballer. Garcia used to be. And now that his is hitting 87-90, hes screwed.
  8. QUOTE(CanOfCorn @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 12:50 PM) the more the team wins for him, the more he's going to want to pitch his heart out for them. I agree. Jon looked fabulous last night, and the start against the Cubs on Friday. I have not been the biggest supporter of Garland, really, ever. Sure, he started off great last year, but finished 10-10 with an ERA close to 4 in the second half. But, if he can pitch like he has these last two (and apparently two before that that I don't remember as clear) then he'll be a hell of a 4th pitcher. On a side note, I fear Garcia may be toast. His 89 MPH fastball just won't cut it, no matter what team you are on. I don't know what happened, because he was a horse last year. I would put him 2nd behind Contreras for the second half and playoffs. I wish we could get that Freddy back.
  9. QUOTE(VAfan @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 11:00 AM) Javier, it is your turn to show us you were worth trading Chris Young to get. You should beat down this O's team. Not to sound like a pessimist, but the O's are not the Royals, so he will probably get rocked. But I hope he doesn't.
  10. QUOTE(MinnesotaSoxFan @ Jul 6, 2006 -> 12:41 PM) If AJ loses by 5 votes, guess who is gonna get the blame? AJP will get the blame, he ALWAYS does. "Damn that little b**** for not voting for himself 5 times!!!!!!!!! DIE AJP!" That's how it'll go down :P
  11. QUOTE(BigSqwert @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 08:36 PM) Perhaps it doesn't actually count the vote unless the actual code is used? Are you sure? it says "Thanks for voting!"
  12. And as I just learned, the code means nothing. If you put in 1 single number, it works. Ugh, I could have had so many more votes doing that.
  13. Haha, I just had to put in the code 72988, which is my birthday. Maybe it somehow means good luck that AJ will make this thing!
  14. Doing my job punching AJ. Going to do 50 more tonight before I head out. DO YOUR PART, PUNCH AJ!
  15. Jon Garland! He looks great tonight, just like he did last week.
  16. QUOTE(GoSox05 @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 01:35 PM) U think he'll get hot, not Juan Uribe hot, bot hot none the less. I do? Damn that U key being right next to the I one.
  17. s*** GUYS! AJ is in second!
  18. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ Jul 5, 2006 -> 01:01 AM) From the way he pitched in the Series last year, methinks not. And regardless, if you are in the majors, and you are good, you are going to get paid. When your 10 year earnings are near $30 million(which is what I imagine Cotts' will be at some point over a period of time, assuming he remains a solid ass reliever), I think you've made enough money. ^^^ = why he won't start You can add pitches, but I don't think the Sox are gonna mess with that I really don't think they will mess with it too, but I would think Neal would want to become a starter. I think hes absolutely happy where he is at now though.
  19. QUOTE(SoxPhan7 @ Jul 4, 2006 -> 04:24 PM) THe thing that I am most pissed off about is having to listen to fat ass Berman saying, "You can put in on the booooard.....GONE!" every time JD hits a homer. God do i hate him. BACK BACK BACK BACK BACK BACK BACK BACK BACK GONE! QUACK QUACK BACK BACK BACK BACK WAY GONE! God, how I hate Chris "Dukin' the Driver" Berman. He can "Daylight come and Ya Gotta" go home!
  20. I like Ross Gload. He's quietly hitting .304, even though its only over 54 AB. Remember when he was amazing in 2004? I miss that.
  21. Starter = more money, less weekly work, less pressure (I would say) I bet he'd do anything to be a starter again.
  22. QUOTE(Melissa1334 @ Jul 4, 2006 -> 07:03 PM) well we want to win this game right? i rather have jose, halladay, or santana. besides its only 2-3 innings. No, its more than 2-3 innings, because you have to warmup. He'd probably have to start the 4th or 5th game after the ASG, if that matters. GO A'S! WOO HOO!
  23. f*** THAT s***. Nice inning.
  24. QUOTE(Whitewashed in @ Jul 3, 2006 -> 11:24 PM) OMG you are right. Sorry I forgot Thome has never had injury problems in his career. You're always right! First off, I never said anything about Thome personally. I said injuries in the home run derby are not common at all, and they aren't. I think its the worst excuse ever, outside of football or hockey where players are injured EVERY game.
  25. I got it! Let's sign Jose Canseco! He's the answer to all our problems! Sorry, I just think its a joke this guy is playing ball again, even if it is just an indepedant team like the San Diego Surfdogs.
