Boo Rios! RACK 'EM UP!
-
QUOTE(loltrain @ May 27, 2006 -> 02:00 PM) If there's anything I've learned from this forum it's that players playing above their career averages will fall back to them 100% of the time (at least if they're a tiger). In other words, I'd enjoy you're 3-4-5 hitting now before it's too late. Not true in the least.

Let's go Sox! Count will get it done!
-
QUOTE(kyyle23 @ May 26, 2006 -> 08:27 AM) Pods has been steadily raising his BA, and Gooch is right around(if not above) .300, 1-7 the Sox are absolutely dangerous. Can you imagine what this team will look like if BA and Uribe can start hitting their weight? Truely, I really can't imagine what it would be like. I don't think I've seen a team this stacked that I've really ever watched. If/when Uribe and BA atleast get up passed the Mendoza line, this team will be even more dangerous.

Come back when they play a .500 team or greater, and beat them up. Then we'll talk.

QUOTE(TLAK @ May 26, 2006 -> 07:49 AM) These are averages of the top 3 OBP, SLG and OPS, ranked by OPS. OPS is shown in the player text. Very nice, but did you just average the top 3? Or actually calculate them with each of their ABs and PAs. Thats what i was going to do later this weekend.

Yeah it was hilarious. Haha, the Jenks one was the best. Hahaha.
-
Definately, because if Neifi fails (like he did/usually does), the Cubs lose. If Pablo fails, the Sox move on to the next inning. And he's a better bunter, so I'd rather him force the defense to make a play than hit one right at them.
-
I think you should add OBP and SLG. Those are the two most important statistics. If you don't, I might get around to it. I know all of them have SLG over like .550 and OBP of .391+, which is absolutely insane.

Maroth just lost me 2 categories for the week. 6 ER on 6 walks/hits in just .1 IP

What is ERA+?

I thought the MLB NEVER suspends anyone who was not ejected from the game? I have no proof to back this up. It's completely what I have been hearing from tons of people. Meaning Pods can't get suspended. Again, I am not sure if this is true.

QUOTE(Steff @ May 25, 2006 -> 08:09 AM) Well... you might care, but it shows you're not paying attention to the game. "Oooo.... here it comes... wait, wait.. ok.. here we go... wheeee..... hehe.. that was so fun. Look.. it's coming around again... Ooooo... " I paid damn well my attention to the game. I never missed a single pitch. I went to watch a game, but I also went to have a good time. I knew exactly what was going on, why they brought in Nelson to face Thomas, and how Thorton came in after, and then Jenks came in with 2 on and 2 out, and struck the guy out. I damn well paid attention, and I still did the wave. If you think I am the only one that has the ability to do this, you are wrong. Sure, I bet there were some people who didn't pay any attention to the game going on, but thats not even close to a majority of the crowd. Baseball is a slow sport, and people can do things like the wave inbetween pitches and still be fine.

QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 25, 2006 -> 01:05 AM) Um, no. I love the full stadium and all but having a crowd that doesn't give a s*** about a close game in the 8th inning is sickening. I'm sure we could fill the stadium with people who can avoid standing every 60 seconds, there are plenty of people out there who would love to go to a game but can't because it's sold out lets get those people into the park to replace the asswipes who encourage the wave. Haha, you think because people do the wave, they don't care about the game? Wow.

QUOTE(Tony82087 @ May 25, 2006 -> 12:42 AM) Especially in a 1 run game.... :headshake It was when we were up by 2
-
QUOTE(Rowand44 @ May 25, 2006 -> 12:18 AM) :headshake Yeah, I know most of you guys here don't like it, but it was really fun. It started in the right field upper deck, and we went back and forth around the top about 5 times. Then the lower deck started, and we went around another 5 or so together. I was right behind homeplate, Section 531. I also bought a kickass shirt from a street vendor: "Hey Cubs Fans! (middle finger with WORLD SERIES RING on it)"

Hey guys, I'm trying to find someone who wouldn't mind throwing together a quick banner for me or something. I don't have a lot of Photoshop skill, and I don't like the "banner" I have now in my sig. If anyone is willing to help me out, maybe send me a PM? I'd be glad to help out in something else in return.. Thanks.

What a kickass game for me to go to. Man, it was so fun. We got the wave going around the entire stadium, and they WON! 1-0 with games I have gone to.
-
I'm going, first game of the year! Looks like its supposed to rain

Good. -
QUOTE(Gregory Pratt @ May 23, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) Yeah, I personally think we lost that trade based on the intangibles alone. Refresh me... what was the trade?
-
Lol @ Canada. Man, if a pitcher with a 2.88 ERA is "losing his edge," I wonder what you got to do to be "average."

AND THATS A WHITE SOX WINNER!!!!!!!!&#
TitoMB345 replied to NUKE_CLEVELAND's topic in Pale Hose Talk
GOOOOO WHITE SOX! -
I just hope they go out and win tomorrow too, so I can watch a White Sox winner.
