  1. QUOTE (maggsmaggs @ Dec 25, 2010 -> 03:18 PM) When this team is fully healthy, they are a contender. No doubt in my mind. They are eight games over despite a very tough schedule and not having Boozer and Noah on the court for most of them. Once they trot out Noah-Boozer-Deng-Bogans (even though I hate him starting)-Rose as a starting line-up every night, they will be as good as anyone in the NBA this side of Boston. The Magic look lost right now. The Heat don't have enough inside. And the Lakers look average right now. Boston is the only team in a seven-game series at full health that we couldn't beat. They have the size, the team play, the defense, everything. The Spurs are really good, too, but we played them down to the wire without Boozer on the road. And how the hell did Keith Bogans start for the Spurs last year? The guy brings nothing to table except solid defense. Brewer does that too and is bigger. And he adds an offensive dimension. I was referring to the Knicks. I too believe that the Bulls are a contender.
  2. QUOTE (thxfrthmmrs @ Dec 25, 2010 -> 01:46 PM) i actually think thibs should go with watson at pg and rose sg more in this game. the knicks kept running pick and rolls with amare and felton, which rose had great trouble defending against. too often did he get stuck on the pick with felton going straight to the hoop, and the number of wide open threes felton took after freeing himself with picks in the second half is unacceptable. I think the extra effort rose put in on defense really messed up his rhythm on offense. 11-20 on ft for this bulls today, and they rank 3rd to last in the league in that department, pretty amazing feat considering they don't have shaq, howard or blake griffin. that is 2 losses in the season against the celtics, and now 2 more losses against a pretender in the knicks. They're not a serious title contender. But they're definitely a playoff team. As much as I hate the Knicks, they're one player away from being a serious threat.
  3. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Dec 24, 2010 -> 07:10 PM) So, Offensive lineman...you're thinking of going pro as a Junior? You see that Big Ten championship ring you've got? There's $500k in it for you if you come back as a senior. Hey OSU fans, want a piece of the action?! Bid now on game worn jerseys from the big game against UM. Only difference is that OSU would be getting a cut. If the rule that was broken was so serious, these guys would be sitting for the bowl game...but they're not. Also missing none of the Big Ten season. Again, the NCAA doesn't care as long as they're getting paid.
  4. What I take from this whole OSU fiasco is that the NCAA is all about a dollar. If they're not benefiting from it, they won't let you benefit from it either. If these guys wanna sell their awards, let them. It's theirs. It's not that they're "thankless." It may be that they're in a position where they really need the cash.

QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 02:37 PM) Requiem for a Dream was awful. The collective parts were good, but the movie was just terrible. QUOTE (Felix @ Dec 23, 2010 -> 02:50 PM) Tropic Thunder was an awesome, awesome movie. Robert Downey Jr is great. *blank stare* I'm far from a movie snob, but.... Anywho, True Grit was excellent.

    Finals Week

I've just got a paper due tomorrow, an exam Wednesday & 2 papers on Thursday & I'll be home free.
  7. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Dec 13, 2010 -> 05:01 PM) What's the big deal about Tashard Choice getting Vick's autograph after the game? I mean, I wouldn't do it, but I don't get the big deal over autographs in general - it's a guy's signature. To me, a picture would be way cooler than an autograph with someone. Regardless, Choice grew up in ATL and Vick was a "football superhero" to those kids. If he wants to do it, so what? It's not like he tried less in the game b/c he asked for an autograph after. Sometimes I think people care too much. DBAH0, are you upset about this (being the resident Cowboys fan)? *ahem* *points at avy* I think the big deal is that he did it right there on the field. That & it just looked silly. That's something you can do before the game, or in the locker room perhaps. As a Cowboys fan, I'm not upset. I laughed at it. It's more like he could of chosen a better time/place to do that.
  8. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Dec 7, 2010 -> 12:48 AM) Talked to the girl that saw my penis the other night. Described it a "ferociously cute." I have no idea what that means. An Asian friend I have tells girls his penis isn't small but rather cute.... Seriously, he's done this before. I'm not saying...just saying.
  9. Wish I was gonna be able to watch Boozer's 1st game as a Bull tonight. However, Howard better not try any funny s*** w/ D. Rose like last year. If so, you send Noah or Asik out there to make him realize the error of his ways.
  10. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Nov 30, 2010 -> 02:26 PM) Does anybody know if the Metra happens to run any later trains on New Years Eve? The last ones all leave downtown around 12:30/12:40. I highly doubt they do, but maybe I'm wrong. I'm pretty sure the latest they run on any night is 12:40. I could be wrong though.
  11. QUOTE (NIUSox @ Nov 25, 2010 -> 09:59 AM) Black Friday looms tomorrow, not looking forward to going into work at midnight. Hey, at least you don't have to go in at 9 pm.
  12. QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Nov 25, 2010 -> 11:47 AM) Remember, it was gonna be so easy Pat could suit up like his Kentucky days.
  13. I'll be working it. Starting tonight when we open at 10pm...
  14. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Nov 25, 2010 -> 07:43 AM) I think I'll start ignoring your predictions. Especially after your early season prediction of the Heat and last week's Bears game. His & everyone's that claimed that the Heat were gonna steamroll everyone.
  15. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Nov 25, 2010 -> 11:02 AM) John Paxson says WTF? Why would he? He wasn't on those late 90's teams....
  16. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Nov 18, 2010 -> 12:06 PM) The Bulls were taking a chance on a charasmatic guy who was a well respected player who was cheap. They even admitted it during press conferences and they were hoping his personality and fresh stance and communication skills would work while he learned to coach. That is part of why he got the short term deal for a 1st year head coach. It didn't work but I can't blame them for what they tried. And Del Negro did do some good things giving the younger players more leeway. However, he just wasn't a good coach and the assistants we brought in I think new it and it caused a lot of issues because Del Negro wouldn't call sets and they wanted to call sets. Added the key part for you there.
  17. QUOTE (Brian @ Nov 16, 2010 -> 04:06 PM) Ha. It's funny there are these stories. Just walking my dog in our neighborhood and a cop pulled up and asked if I lived in that subdivision. I just pointed to my house a block away and he left. Didn't even wait to see if I went into my house. WTF Stories like these remind me of the time me & kjshoe04 got pulled over coming home from a Sox game & the cop flashed the light in my face the entire time. Or the time that the cops pulled me over, gave me the full pat down & asked if I had any weapons, explosives included. While asking the girl inside the car if she was okay & if she was there against her will... It was her car btw.
  18. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Nov 16, 2010 -> 10:08 PM) This. Outside of Brewer I think the bulls have looked fantastic so far this year. CJ Watson has been as bad, if not worse IMO.
  19. Steelers cut Jeff Reed per Adam Schefter's Twitter.
  20. QUOTE (MurcieOne @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 10:01 PM) Is Michael Vick the best QB in the NFL right now? I. . . . I think my answer to that question is yes. I dunno if I'd say all that, but he's playing his ass off right now.
  21. I think i'm the only one who likes those "futuristic" jerseys
  22. QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Nov 15, 2010 -> 09:11 AM) Does anyone know what was up between sourpuss Todd Haley and cocky Josh McDaniels at the end of the Chiefs/Broncos game? Haley was mad that McDaniels had his team still playing hard. Basically he Haley thought they should've eased up & taken it easy. In other news, Haley should of had his team ready to play. On another note, as a Cowboys fan I'm glad to see them actually play hard but I too am tired of hearing about yesterday's win. Now if they get 7 more in a row, then ESPN can talk all they want about them.
