  4. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 26, 2016 -> 12:28 PM) They put out the NXT takeover logo today so I decided to go check what the tickets are at on stubhub...cheapest is going for $356. Yeesh. NXT's easily become the hottest ticket IMO. I remember seeing tickets for 4x the price when they hit Chicago last month.
  5. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Feb 26, 2016 -> 08:45 AM) Also, with Cena out rehabbing, Reigns has been doing the charity appearances and the like that Cena use to do. But also, it's VKM being stubborn. Honestly though, with proven popularity of non-traditional guys, but Vince's continued push of Reigns and his reported love of Braun Strowman, nothing will change. I just hope at this point they keep people like Styles, Cesaro, eventual call ups like Balor, Nakamura, etc... in upper mid-card or mid-card feuds, I'd much rather have that then them jobbing to HHH, Reigns, Cena and Orton. VKM has this idea that the "face" of the company has to be the good looking guy. When in all reality, all someone needs to be the face of the company is to be over with the crowd.
  6. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 23, 2016 -> 03:42 PM) Does he sell a ton of merch? Honest question, I've never read that before. Either way, I think this is just VKM being stubborn more than anything else. In other news, why the hell wasn't KO on the show last night? It's not Cena level apparently, but it's a decent amount. He also apparently gets decent pops at house shows. Also, VKM is just stubborn.
  7. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 23, 2016 -> 08:17 AM) Agreed. I like watching the guy's matches but he sucks at every other part of pro wrestling. His promos and acting are just so god awful that I can't get behind him. This is like if they tried to shove Rocky Maivia down our throats when he first debuted. The fans aren't wanting to be apart of the show, they're just letting the powers that be know that this isn't what they want. They could easily turn him heel, but he sells merch so they won't. They're going to try to "stack the deck" against him at WM, hoping that fans will see the light. They wont. We'll find out how it sounds to hear almost 100,000 people boo a guy after winning the title.
  8. QUOTE (scs787 @ Feb 21, 2016 -> 05:13 PM) Something else perhaps noteworthy is Joe Rogan has since ripped Punk. Said him fighting in UFC would be ridiculous. Probably not something a UFC commentator should be saying about a guy set to fight in the UFC. Rogan said the same about Brock in the UFC. Wouldn't read too much into that.
  9. QUOTE (SoxPride18 @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 07:52 PM) Apparently there are still rumors that Bulls are going after DeMarcus Cousins Sacramento's not trading Cousins. Divac & the rest of the front office see him as the cornerstone of the franchise. You're more likely to see Karl get fired first.
  10. QUOTE (Rowand44 @ Feb 16, 2016 -> 08:50 AM) By the sounds of it, it's not his last mania. Vince said no to Owens, taker isn't dumb enough to face Stroman, they're not going to do styles and cena is dead, there's nothing good out there that Vince will allow to happen. Personally I'd rather keep the Wyatt family away from Brock to set up more interesting stuff and just go the 8 man tag route for Taker since there's nothing good for him to do. But who knows maybe Cena Wolverine's it up like usual and is back for mania. Rumor by the way that the E & C and new day segment on Sunday might be to introduce Enzo and Cass which I can stop complaining they're not on the main roster then. Hope it's true. Cena tweeted something along the lines of taking a riskier route to rehab that would get him back sooner. Wouldn't be surprised if it's for 'Mania.
  11. QUOTE (Saufley @ Feb 15, 2016 -> 01:06 PM) Your rant makes a lot of sense! This ownership has had their one World Series championship. Now sell to some investment group that is not afraid to spend money to put a #1 caliber team on the field. I'm just tired of my team shopping at the $5 and under store. My rant. So did last offseason not happen? Did this team not make moves to try & win now? I understand the frustration, but let's not say that the FO has just sat around and only looked to sign bargains.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Feb 9, 2016 -> 02:51 PM) Haven't checked every page but has anyone said whether this is a major league or a minor league deal? I.e. if he's not on the 25 man out of ST/by some date does he get released? I'm assuming major, just says a $3 mil. guarantee for 1 year.
  13. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Feb 6, 2016 -> 11:24 AM) Update on JB yet? Reports saying hyperextended knee
  14. Am I the only one who doesn't hate the upper deck? I think the upper deck behind home plate is probably my favorite place to watch a game at USCF.
  15. QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Feb 4, 2016 -> 10:07 AM) I saw a lot of the same from the Bulls though. Just terrible decision making and practically blowing it again. All the while I look and there is good ole Hoiberg not doing a thing. I missed my telecasts where all I could hear was Thibs yelling at the guys and making sure they knew where they needed to be, etc. Hoiberg seems to be attempting to be Phil, but Phil had a plethora of rings and wasn't that way in his career when he established himself. And by the way, I'm not saying Hoiberg is a bad coach cause he isn't shouting, but jesus, he barely looks like he's ever even talking to anyone. Literally he looks like he doesn't coach. I know that can't be the case but with some of these lapses we've seen from a veteran team, it certainly makes me feel that he has significant issues that he's going to have to figure out. Was he this lax at ISU (I know he is never going to be a shouter and that is fine, but was he so quiet from the perspective that he never talked on the sidelines)? I could be 100% wrong, but I thought I heard that he couldn't get himself worked up due to the pacemaker. So him seeming lax is due to to that. I agree, it's frustrating to watch, but I'd rather him not pass out on the sideline either.
  16. QUOTE (Brian @ Feb 1, 2016 -> 11:14 AM) Bret Hart has prostate cancer. Just read that, what a terrible run of luck this guy's been on since the late 90s.
  17. QUOTE (3GamesToLove @ Feb 1, 2016 -> 10:59 AM) So, did he leave FOX or what? Unclear from that tweet. I believe so.
  18. QUOTE (Palehosefan @ Jan 29, 2016 -> 11:35 AM) Enter PHF dumbass trade idea. Lakers get: Rose + Portis + 1st round pick Bulls get: Russell + Hibbert Lakers get a potential star, and a couple of young assets. Bulls get a young potential star, and bigtime salary relief a year early with Hibbert coming off the books, and keep lottery pick. No thanks on Hibbert. Not like this trade would be accepted anyway, but Hibbert struggles in LA, just imagine how he'd struggle on a half-way competent ballclub. I don't think Russell is the problem in LA, it's the fact that his coach has completely asinine reasons for benching him/it seeming like they're not really sure how to develop him.
  19. QUOTE (Kalapse @ Jan 28, 2016 -> 03:12 PM) The one in the online shop doesn't look quite right: http://shop.mlb.com/Chicago_White_Sox_New_...IFTY_Fitted_Hat I don't think it's the same. The ST one has the patch on the side.
  20. QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Jan 26, 2016 -> 10:28 AM) It's too big of task to make non baseball players baseball players. It's not like other sports. Football, basketball, you can get a guy with a ton of talent to be decent in a few years. Baseball, no way. There aren't stories of guys who picked up baseball as 16 year olds and became big league stars. Dee Gordon didn't play until high school. Hell, Lorenzo Cain didn't play until his sophomore year. Yes I know that it doesn't happen often, but if you're athletic enough, you'd have a chance.
