  1. QUOTE (scs787 @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 03:04 PM) Wait a second...Willie Davis??? You mean Willie Harris? Mr. MLB fan cave better blame this on auto correct lol *hides under rock* haha, yeah I definitely meant Harris. No clue why I put Davis.
  2. QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 25, 2013 -> 02:31 PM) Oh and, Pablo Ozuna. His throwing a guy out from LF, the squirrel chase... he was a guy who clearly just loved playing, and had fun doing it. I'll never forget his walk off bunt against Oakland.
  3. I've been offered Mike Wallace for Antonio Brown. Do I cash in on his big night against the Bears or do I hold on to him?
  4. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Sep 5, 2013 -> 04:06 PM) Skin was cut, blood was soaked up with gauze. No details other than that. Skin was also stitched together I heard.
  5. It was 4 years ago today (the 31st) that I was moving out of my apartment in Logan Square when I heard the news that we traded for Peavy. Was a bit concerned since he was hurt when we traded for him but excited to have him on our staff nonetheless. I truly enjoyed having someone so gutsy on my favorite team. I'll miss him, but I know this is a move to better the future of this ballclub. Good luck with everything Jake!
  6. QUOTE (ROC Sox Fan @ Jul 29, 2013 -> 03:09 PM) In case you were wondering I'm on Twitter @itsgottabeKANE and tried to retweet and favorite you when I was on Twitter (not too much). Great job good to see Sox love in the Fan Cave. Appreciate the support man.
  7. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 08:50 PM) Damn , that's a shame . Must've been that Bulls tweet when they stopped the Heats streak. I'm sure it was an amazing experience that you will always look back fondly on. Good luck in future endeavors.
  8. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 24, 2013 -> 03:13 PM) Who has better pizza? C'mon wite. Is that a serious question? Chicago, hands down.
  9. Haha, I was just on my way over here to break the unfortunate news but ss2k5 beat me to it. Yep, my road ends here. I just wanted to say thanks to all of ST for having my back throughout this entire deal. I don't think I could ever repay you guys. If there's a silver lining in this, I get to spend the last part of my summer in Chicago & I get to go into U.S. Cellular Field to catch a game live. If the Sox all of a sudden go on a massive winning streak, I will take total blame for it.
  10. QUOTE (Jake @ Jul 20, 2013 -> 01:18 PM) I see you Marcus! *waves furiously*
  11. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 07:22 PM) It's Sale. I just assumed anyone who walks within 60 feet, 6 inches of him strikes out . (Nicely setup). What you did there? I saw it.
  12. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 06:00 PM) Did you strike out? Eh, I think I handled myself pretty well.
  13. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 05:36 PM) No pic with Frank? Nah, wasn't good timing. Also the whole, remaining professional thing. Which reminds me I also ran into Ozzie Guillen as well. Literally. I was on my way to AL media availability & we bumped into each other. But as requested earlier, here's the pic of our ace Chris Sale & myself.
  14. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jul 18, 2013 -> 01:46 PM) Did you see Frank at all? I did. I was in one of the hallways of Citi Field. Very big guy, it took everything in my power not to turn into 10 year old Marcus. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 18, 2013 -> 11:48 PM) Do you have pics ? I have one of me talking to Chris, I'll work on posting that right now actually. QUOTE (CarlosMartinez @ Jul 19, 2013 -> 09:40 AM) When are the round next cuts from the Cave? Did you have Thursday off completely, if so what did you do having a day in NYC to yourself? I think the next round of cuts are coming in the next couple of weeks. We're not entirely sure of when exactly. Thursday Danny & myself had to film a couple of things (shameless plug, we're on this week's Player Poll on Fox, 2:30 central, 3:30 eastern) but besides that, it was free. My girlfriend came in for all-star so we did some shopping in SoHo, we went to Old Homestead for dinner & then went to Brooklyn Bowl where we boogied while ?uestlove of The Roots DJ'd all night.
  15. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 18, 2013 -> 10:13 AM) Did you meet Sale, Crain, and Southpaw? Met Sale & Crain. Kept missing Southpaw .
  16. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 16, 2013 -> 11:40 AM) Dude it's the All Star game in NYC ! Are you going to the game ? This is the time for constant updates ! I wish I had time to update you guys during the whole experience but we were constantly busy the last few days, so we'll play some catch up. YES, I got to go to the ASG & the HR Derby this week. So Monday started off with all of us going to the All-Star Brunch at the Grand Hyatt. (Bumped into Andre Dawson & Rollie Fingers). Took some pictures with Mr. Met & other mascots, had a fun time. We then traveled back to the Fan Cave where we met Jose Bautista & David Ortiz for a video shoot where they prancercised (It really is pretty comical. (http://meme.ms/nbuy7ek) After being gifted a PSVita in a rad Rawlings carrying case, we made the trek over to Citi Field. We missed NL media availability but we got there in time for the Derby press conference & for AL availability. Of course I talked to our all-stars & also talked to some other some other all-stars as well (Miggy, Torii Hunter, Verlander, Trout, Nelson Cruz, Chris Tillman, Chris Davis) From there we helped set up tables & handed out placards for Stand Up 2 Cancer. Then at about 7:30 eastern, I took my seat & watched the Derby aka The Yo Show. Next day we woke up a little early & went over to Dave & Busters to hang out with some kids from Make a Wish, which might have been one of my favorite things to do all weekend. After that we went to the Red Carpet Parade. Once that was over we went to Citi Field where there was a Pre-Game Gala w/ free food, drinks & the whole 9. Including a performance by Flo Rida. Then there was the game, which was awesome. I mean, it was my first time at a game all year. So of course I was pumped. That was my ASG experience in a nutshell. I'd love to answer any questions if anyone has them I'd love to.
  17. Also, for Brian... I've had interactions with Heidi Watney & Lauren Shehadi.
  18. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jul 2, 2013 -> 11:03 PM) I see you Marcus. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1692068...tar-team-stupid . Puig visits the fan cave video. Haha, that was a very fun & very unexpected day.
  19. I mentioned it in the draft thread last night, but we had some of the draft prospects stop by the cave yesterday for a luncheon. Met Tim Anderson, really cool guy. Great family too.
  20. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 7, 2013 -> 10:25 AM) Final competition is best playoff beard, and I know Marcus has that one on lockdown I do have a pretty snazzy beard, we just need the Sox to make it to October in order for me to call it a playoff beard.
  21. QUOTE (Brian @ Jun 6, 2013 -> 07:04 AM) Didn't know they cut people or that it was a competition. Yeah, there are 3 more cuts. Eventually there will be 3 left who will make it to the postseason & World Series where one dweller will be named the "ultimate cave dweller"
  22. Actually met Tim Anderson today. Great kid, family was super excited.
  23. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 11:36 PM) Congrats , who got cut ? Sorry about the 2 years. Alex (Indians fan) & Nick (Red Sox fan)
  24. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 07:50 PM) Hope you had fun watching the 16 inning crazy game today Marcus. I probably lost 2 years off my life with this game. So glad to end the losing skid though. QUOTE (CaliSoxFanViaSWside @ Jun 5, 2013 -> 07:51 PM) How do you feel about your chances of making the 1st cut ? Oh, I guess I should've updated everyone but I did make the 1st cut. So I should be here in NYC through the all-star break.
