  1. QUOTE (chw42 @ Sep 10, 2011 -> 04:24 PM) Jacoby Ellsbury now leads all of baseball in fWAR. I was considering him for MVP before, but now I think he has a decent shot to win it. After all, he plays on a good team and Bautista plays on a mediocre one. Curtis Granderson says whaddup?
  2. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 1, 2011 -> 11:28 AM) Thank you sir. This is way too dope.
  3. QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Aug 31, 2011 -> 08:01 PM) I decided to throw together my own Madden cover. Now that I've done the pain in the butt part of all the background bears s*** and all that, if anyone has a player request, I'll hook it up. Steve, would it be possible to get one for DeMarcus Ware? Thanks in advance.
  4. QUOTE (Brian @ Aug 30, 2011 -> 06:16 AM) Why hotshot HHH Punk? Ugh It's obvious something was up with Nash's physical. The WWE trying to be unpredictable has come back to hurt them in this case.
  5. However, I do hate how they continue to treat the world titles like trinkets rather than championships...
  6. As a Punk fan I'm disappointed that they've rushed his title run. However, he's still in the main even picture. There are so many questions after last night. Cena's half-hearted protest, Stephanie leaving Cena's locker room, HHH looking confused when Nash came out, Nash being there period & finally ADR in the middle of all of this. For the first time in a long time, WWE watchers are left guessing.
  7. Just a quick question (if it can be even answered quick). Why are teams jumping conferences like this? Is it strictly a $$$ issue?
  8. My favorite episode: I Am Furious (Yellow) - Where Bart creates the Angry Dad cartoon about Homer. I've seen a bunch of my other favorites already posted. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Aug 9, 2011 -> 12:59 PM) I would also be interested to know who everyone's favorite side character is. I can't decide between Troy McClure(you might remeber him from such celebrity funerals as "Andre The Giant, We Hardly Knew Ye" and "Shemp Howard, Today We Mourn A Stooge") and Lionel Hutz(aka Miguel Sanchez). Hans Moleman. Hands down.
  9. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ Aug 8, 2011 -> 03:48 AM) Watch The Throne So good. So damn good.
  10. QUOTE (Milkman delivers @ Aug 7, 2011 -> 10:31 AM) I will NEVER go to Lollapalooza after they screwed me last year with the Beastie Boys. Their "equally big" replacement was the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, and they would not offer a refund. They screwed you? You're paying for the festival, not just an act. You'd be getting screwed if it was the Beastie Boys festival that was all of a sudden headlined by the Yeah Yeah Yeahs. You also easily could've sold it.
  11. As friends of mine will tell you, I think Reinsdorf needs to sell the both ballclubs (Bulls & Sox). He's loyal to a fault. Loyalty will only get you so far until it starts to hurt business. I don't think he has it in him to clean house in the front office. As much as Kenny and/or Ozzie need to go, I wouldn't be surprised to see them both here next year.
  12. Happy birthday fellas. I'll be expecting drunk posts for J4L at some point tonight.
  13. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 06:57 PM) Kate Upton maybe the perfect looking woman. Move over Brooklyn Decker. I don't know about perfect. But she's damn good.
  14. QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 30, 2011 -> 02:05 AM) It is his new theme.. I saw an article on Wrestlezone that said Vince broke policy by allowing someone to use a song that they had to pay royalties for.. Which is odd to me as Edge was using Metalingus by Alter Bridge, Mysterios is by POD I believe, Rev Theory does Ortons, CM Punk was using Killswitch Engage, HHH with Motorhead Do they not have to pay royalties for those? Seemed weird to me as people have had actual songs for a while now.. I believe those songs were made specifically to be the wrestler's theme. So it may have been a work for hire deal where the WWE pays the band upfront & maybe a chunk of any money made from CDs/iTunes, etc.
  15. After I think about it some more, the WWE didn't rush this as much as I thought they did. Punk is RED HOT right now. Not sure if you can risk keeping him off of TV too long. This will definitely sell more for Summerslam than ADR/Cena would. Personally, I would of kept Punk off of TV until the end of SummerSlam where I would've done the whole Punk showing up to "Cult of Personality" after the main event.
  16. QUOTE (nitetrain8601 @ Jul 25, 2011 -> 10:53 PM) It was his theme song for ROH I'm glad I didn't turn the TV off once Cena won like I wanted, once I heard the opening riff I knew what was about to go down. But I would of waited until after SummerSlam to bring him back, ah well.
  17. *sighs* of course I'm in. Even if it means setting myself up for disappointment.
  18. Jay-Z & Kanye hitting the United Center on October 6th & 7th. I'm so there.
  19. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 01:23 PM) I'm sure you can come up with more than just that one topic. Show some creativity. I'm pretty sure there will be more on the album than them just talking about the cool s*** that they do. Even if it wasn't, they do it clever enough that I'd go out & buy it anyway.
  20. QUOTE (knightni @ Jul 21, 2011 -> 10:08 PM) Put your ipod touch in a box filled with silicon dioxide or rice. The iPhone or the iPod touch doesn't work w/ the rice. I also had a friend who dropped his iPhone in the toilet, no dice.
  21. Well in the slim chance that we actually get an NBA season this year... We'll get Bulls/Mavs on opening night. On Xmas, we'll get Knicks/Celtics, Bulls/Lakers & Heat/Mavs...
  22. SD Spoiler: Also, The Rock will be at Survivor Series.
  23. QUOTE (T R U @ Jul 19, 2011 -> 01:03 PM) Well, I still haven't seen anything saying CM Punk has resigned.. what if he really was leaving and Vince had decided it would be best to just have him leave and have a tournament to crown a new champion with a new belt rather than having an insane Chicago crowd possibly do something stupid had he lost? I know how unlikely that is, but the relieving Vince of his duties makes some sense in all of this.. not getting CM Punk resigned, allowing him the chance to leave with the belt, firing Cena.. And they could still continue it with HHH trying to bring back CM Punk.. If they really wanted to crown a new champion, they could of last night so I dont know how much I am buying into that actually happening.. All I can say is they have made some pretty big strides to a better product recently, and its very encouraging.. Punk'll be back. You're a wrestling fan. This is a storyline. You should know this. QUOTE (Brian @ Jul 19, 2011 -> 04:23 PM) X-pac said that HHH texted him after the show and told him that Vince stepping down is legit and HHH is taking over. I've read on numerous sites that HHH will be taking over in real life eventually. But Vince is supposed to be the man at least until WM 28.
  24. QUOTE (SoxFan562004 @ Jul 18, 2011 -> 08:32 PM) Who knows what's really going on. UFC's deal with Spike is wrapping up early in 2012 and the Showtime options for SF are out there. The TV deals for MMA have a big chance of looking wildly different next year and it's causing a lot of weird holding patterns right now. Especially since the head of HBO Sports was pretty much fired. Him being very anti-MMA could mean that we could finally see the UFC hit HBO.
  25. QUOTE (The Critic @ Jul 18, 2011 -> 07:14 AM) Kudos to Vince for not only not messing the angle up, but apparently making it pretty damn good! From the attempted screwjob to ordering del Rio to cash in the case, to Punk booting him and escaping before the case could be cashed in, it all makes sense and was well done! Now to see what VinnyMac does from here - so far, so good! Also, a big HELL YEAH for Christian winning the belt - even better IMO that he won it on a DQ! Furthers the chickens*** heel persona and gives him the shine he kind of needed to keep the character hot. If the WWE is smart, they keep running with this. Having Christian be so afraid to lose the title that he'll do anything to keep it. From CM Punk's twitter last night:
