  1. The guy probably needs the money.
  2. All of you people saying he doesn't care must have missed or are intentionally ignoring his confrontation with AJ. He was fired up, he just sucks.
  3. No one decent is going to want to coach that team after this public display of how coaches are treated there.
  4. I don't agree with booing a white sox player in any circumstances involving baseball. I mean, if he punched a pregnant lady in the stomach or pushed an old man down some stairs, then I might boo.
  5. QUOTE (tonyho7476 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 10:24 AM) I like Back in Black....hey, look at me, my ban is over. Again. What was it for this time?
  6. These are the days of lazers in a jungle. Lazers in a jungle somewhere.
  7. QUOTE (kyyle23 @ Oct 2, 2008 -> 10:40 AM) Its "Old MacDonald had a farm" If only the sox did.
  8. I am not living in the moment right now. Someone fast forward to game time.
  9. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:45 AM) Do you want to take a chance that he will get you a strong 4 innings? He gave up 4 runs through 3 innings vs Tampa ,5 runs through 4 innings vs minnesota on 9/23 and 6 runs though 3.2 innings at NYY. That accounts for 3 of his last 4 starts, all CRUCIAL games. The only exception would be the Cleveland game of the final weekend when he didn't have his meldown until the 5th with a big 6 spot. All I'm saying is Javy has the ability to give up 5 runs in a hurry. Something you don't want that last game of the series that will be played in cowbell city. Yeah, I would in relief. If you need long relief you are already probably losing, so I would take that chance.
  10. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:33 AM) Yes, mostly due to sucking in July,August and September. If Javy was not such a mental midget I would agree with most of your posts. The good news is maybe a team like KC can be convinced that he will play well for a non-contending team. I could be wrong. I just don't like the fact that almost the entire board cites his mental midgetry being the problem as fact. We don't really know whats going on between his ears. I see him pitch fairly well for the first 4 innings on a regular basis. It makes me thing something else is wrong.
  11. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:29 AM) No, You are wrong. Javy was a cy young contender for the Months of April and June. lol, how is someone a cy young contender for two non consecutive months?
  12. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:29 AM) No, You are wrong. Javy was a cy young contender for the Months of April and June. Okay so he sucked really badly for half of the year. I only looked at the previous few months. The year as a whole was not a good one.
  13. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:28 AM) I can't justify Ozzie giving him another chance in a win or go home scenario. If that's how you want to go down, fine. I'm just glad you are not captain of this ship. Of course you are. You're afraid to pitch him.
  14. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:22 AM) http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/game...6&year=2004 check out Javy's October game log and Javys last 4 MUST WIN starts this year http://sports.espn.go.com/mlb/players/game...6&year=2008 Well I didn't get the impression that he was timid or afraid watching those games. I got the impression that he wasn't pitching well the second and even moreso the third times through those lineups. If you look more closely at those 2004 stats, you'll see he wasn't pitching well the entire year.
  15. QUOTE (rangerjae @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:22 AM) Javy sometimes pisses and s***s in his pants too. Especially in New York. People who are not potty trained should not be on the White Sox. Thank you Thank you for your informative post. /green
  16. QUOTE (G&T @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:16 AM) Hitter catch onto the fact that he will hang breaking balls because he is too afraid to snap it off. He gets away throwing fastballs the first time through, but a pitcher has to throw off speed stuff the second time through to keep hitters off balance. That's when things go bad. I could agree with this theory.
  17. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:20 AM) He never really s***s himself until we give him a lead. The second the White Sox are ahead in a pressure situation, he gets knocked around. His body language indicates that he is timid out there with a lead as well. Sometimes he just looks like he actually pooped in his pants. I don't agree. Timid pitchers don't scream "f*** you" to their catcher.
  18. That's pretty. So it looks like the sox will spend between 10 and 20 million a year if they chose to keep the same payroll.
  19. QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:13 AM) What have you seen in the last 30 days, heck 5 years, that gives you confidence to start Javy in a pressure situation? Obviously I have. I like that any opinion outside of the norm is contadicted by "have you seen the games". Anyway, if you saw the games (haha), javy pitched well for several innings before getting knocked around. If he was a pants crapper, why does he take 4+ innings to s*** himself? It doesn't make sense. Please address that.
  20. QUOTE (rangercal @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 08:10 AM) I am too scared to even go anywhere near Javy right now. Its a good thing ozzie isn't as cowardly as this forum. No one would ever pitch but mark and john.
  21. You think he craps his pants. I don't. People catch on to his stuff, that's what I believe.
  22. QUOTE (Chet Lemon @ Oct 6, 2008 -> 07:49 AM) I wouldn't mind if Vazquez came out of the pen either in game four or a potential game five because of his effectiveness the first time through a lineup. This makes a lot of sense.
  23. QUOTE (RME JICO @ Oct 5, 2008 -> 09:55 AM) Yes, we would've left TB tied 1-1. However, it doesn't really matter unless the pitching comes around. 12 runs allowed in 16 innings is not good. I highly doubt we give up 6 runs in game two if we have a lead. The game would have been managed differently.
