  1. QUOTE (JFields27 @ May 27, 2008 -> 07:19 PM) did you see them last thursday against the Laffey Taffey? I did not... rough?
  2. QUOTE (Tony82087 @ May 27, 2008 -> 07:17 PM) goofy being the lineup that hits lefties well? Thome and AJ have been more than acceptable against lefties this year.
  3. we're playing the goofy line up (Hall, Ozuna, Anderson, sitting Thome) tonight so we can play the regulars tomorrow..? yes?
  4. QUOTE (JFields27 @ May 27, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) if the runner crosses the plate before the out is made it counts in those situations you win.. I was just angry.
  5. JUST GET THE OUT!!! THERE'S 2 OUTS!? DOES ANYONE CHECK HOW MANY OUTS THERE ARE?!
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ May 27, 2008 -> 07:50 PM) It happens, big deal Seems like it's happened with Lexi a few times.. If we had someone more capable of playing 2nd, I'd want to make a change.. but at this point, it looks like Alexei is our best option.
  7. QUOTE (Reddy @ May 27, 2008 -> 06:30 PM) come on now, what do you think? trying to stay positive.. but i know.. i know.. this is not the place..
  8. Time for the offense to do work.. (aka Carlos)
  9. good to see PK hitting it hard.. edit: annnnd a double play..
  10. It's odd that all the players we thought we could depend on going into the season, are the players having trouble.. and almost everyone else has shown up to play..
  11. QUOTE (greg775 @ May 24, 2008 -> 07:42 PM) Fathom and others who went to that atrocious game.... Was it as obvious in the stadium as watching on TV that after the second inning it was guaranteed we were not going to score a run?? That was a sad, sad hitting effort again. We win eight in a row ... we better not lose tomorrow and be barrelling toward a significant losing streak after playing well. What a dysfunctional offense! Great pitching AGAIN by the Sox. Honestly, yeah.. it was pretty obvious, at least to me, really, as soon as we didn't get Ocab in in the first. I kept hoping Danks would fend them off for a while and someone would muscle a homer over.. but it didn't happen Pitching looked good though, even in the bullpen (I was sitting directly on top of it) and Linebrink can flick a sunflower seed from the pen to CQ, which is ultimately impressive.
  12. I'll be there! let's not start a streak the other way!
  13. There's this funny thing that involves playing well and being healthy for the first time in your career.. it pretty much goes hand in hand.
  14. 8 is a good number for the Sox.. wasn't the last time they had an 8 game winning streak '05 when they did it a few times?
  15. Shouldn't this go into the negative catch-all?
  16. QUOTE (SoxFan1 @ May 20, 2008 -> 10:31 PM) Dotel came in in the bottom of the 7th with 2 outs. After falling behind 2-0, he complained that a laser was coming from the upper deck and bothering him. He came back with 3 fastballs to strike out the batter. ahh.. i must have totally spaced out for that inning.. or I was making dinner. Either way...
  17. QUOTE (WSoxMatt @ May 20, 2008 -> 09:04 PM) what was the deal with the laser?? QUOTE (Chet Lemon @ May 20, 2008 -> 09:23 PM) Quentin's baserunning in the 8th inning was the highlight for me. Ditto to both.
