  1. They may be a good team... but someone in their organization can't spell..
  2. Swisher's solo celebration had me laughing about as hard as when he high-fived his cardboard cutout... Such a fun guy, such a fun team this year.
  3. QUOTE (dasox24 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:40 PM) This is awesome. Fixed
  4. QUOTE (tommy @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:10 PM) In this situation is the fan helping the team, since the ball is stuck there and it might have been a triple, or doesn't matter? it was a dead ball as soon as it stuck under the padding.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:48 PM) 8 is still too round of a number for my taste. is 11 too straight? because that's our next best bet if you're not into round numbers. i mean 9 is a 6 upside down, and you've already stated 6 is too round, we skipped 7, 8 is too round, 10 is straight and round.. 12 may be our best bet here? Thoughts?
  6. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Aug 20, 2008 -> 01:30 PM) ARAM!!!! F*-you Longoria, the rookie of the year plays on the south side of Chicago... Seriously.. if Alexei keeps this up, he's got it.. is Longoria still out? if so, is he out for the rest of the year? Oh yeah.. also.. I love 6 run leads in the first inning.
  7. QUOTE (Wedge @ Aug 11, 2008 -> 07:21 PM) I thought Bernie was bandwagon Chicago. I thought he was at some of the Cubs playoff games. He was an employee of Fox at that point as well, with his show just hitting the airwaves that season, I believe.. Not sure who he was a fan of but just thought this was a relevant point
  8. I watched this game at the bar, and finished the game at the girlfriend's place... and in about the 7th inning I was thinking "what can Soxtalk possibly be talking about right now?" Possibly a strange thing to think about.. but in the broad spectrum of things that just means it was a boring, non-frustrating game. I'll take that every night if I can get it. hah. Go Sox.
  9. yeah.. Jr can't play Center.. I'm over it.. I'm a believer.
  10. QUOTE (Heads22 @ Jul 31, 2008 -> 07:28 PM) First mention: 7:30:41 PM What'd he say?
  11. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 06:48 PM) As someone who sometimes has to follow the action via this thread, shame on you. my bad. Didn't think the green was necessary when referencing PK these days. Also.. CQ doing DAMAGE!
  12. QUOTE (aprec32 @ Jul 30, 2008 -> 07:09 PM) Well if its any consolation, that would easily have been a double play..............he is just terrible! woulda been a cookie cutter double play.. I don't like PK right now, i want to.. but I can't do it.
  13. Paulie will ground into a double play.. even with 2 outs.. I'm convinced it's all he's capable of right now.
  14. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 27, 2008 -> 01:33 PM) We've still got a chance if we can hold 'em here. i dig this mentality.
  15. no shaving cream pie for Q today?? edit: nevermind.. there it is..
  16. I'm not a Bush supporter, but seriously, the man likes Baseball.. he's allowed to like baseball, he's allowed to follow baseball, and if he likes one of our guys, I think that's pretty cool. I also think it's cool that Obama is a Sox fan. That alone isn't going to win my vote, but if Obama is president, and he's a Sox fan, wouldn't that give us a pretty good chance to see the President of the United States throw out the first pitch on opening day at our home stadium (The President throwing out a first pitch somewhere is something of a tradition, correct?) I think that'd be pretty damn cool. I know.. a little off topic... back to wishing President Bush would fix our failing economy in a day.
  17. end the madness... i need sleep, but it's so difficult when I know there's baseball on..
