Are you ok with Joc, IF we somehow, through a major miracle, convinced Bauer to be here? Joc isn't really someone I want, but I'd be ok with it, if it meant a real #1 added to the rotation. And I say that, knowing that there really is no shot this organization goes and gets Bauer.

To be fair, I edited that before you posted! I was thinking QO was 12, and not 18, before I edited.

Probably for the best, if we're being honest. The cracks show, when he has to take on a bigger role, and the cost associated for him, to be 'second catcher' isn't worth it. There are guys like Vaughn (and to a much lesser extent, Collins), that can DH/1st/etc in the rotation. Personally, I don't think Collins will ever do anything at this level. I think he will be out of the organization within 2 or 3 years, but we will see.

Don't pay Colome what some other club is going to. Someone will pay him. Transition a home grown into the role (depending on injury status). Make Bauer tell you no, priority 1, 2 and 3. NO to Castellanos. Gracious...no no no. Peterson will be here I"m guessing. Try to bring McCann back, but guessing he gets an offer to be more of a role, somewhere.

Rough. But that is what happens, when you don't hit with RISP, plain and simple. Come back in 2021, and get after it, boys.
