Navy giving this Ohio St. team ALL they want. I don't think the Buckeye nation expected this game to be so close. -

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 5, 2009 -> 09:52 AM) Honestly, I expect to put up at least 35+ on WKU while holding them to no more than a fluke TD or something. I could see a final of, like, 38-10. But more importantly, I'm just excited to see how a lot of our freshman play since we have so many in the 2-deep. Oh, and it's Game Day! They overcame some early turnovers, and WKy can't do a thing on offense. Tenn is going to put up 50 on this team. -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 10:08 PM) Yeah he was. He had a knee brace on so maybe something was up with that. Did you check ESPN or ESPN2 for the UGA/OSU game? I know they put alternate regional games on those channels. ABC has Baylor vs. Wake Forest ESPN2 has W, Michigan vs. Michigan So silly that we don't get to see a game for a team that is 45 minutes away max from us in Athens... -

QUOTE (zenryan @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 06:54 PM) I'd blame the O-line more so than Wilson having a bad game. Carolina's d-line dominated that game. I dont know why both teams just didnt blitz every play, neither line could pick up a player if more than 4 guys were rushing. Wilson was, by my accounts, at LEAST a step slower than at the end of last year. I'm not sure what was up, but he was run down from behind by not only our DEs, but the LBs as well. -

QUOTE (dasox24 @ Sep 4, 2009 -> 07:01 PM) That's what I think did it too. Just for punching that BSU player, he would have gotten a few games. But, you can't go after a fan like that no matter what might have been said to him. What are you expecting tomorrow against W. Kentucky dasox? I'll be interested to see that one, and Okla St vs Georgia of course. But ABC screwed the pooch on that one. We are in a tiny sliver of South Carolina that will instead, get Baylor vs. Wake Forest. WTF? -

Boring game by us last night? Absolutely. But I'll take ANY W when you go on the road and play a real team (Hi2U Charleston Southern/McNeese St/etc) to open the college football season, and have 15 freshman on your 2 deep. The offense was indeed offensive, Garcia has MUCH improvement to do still. But if Russell Wilson was the best the ACC had to offer as a QB, then that conference sucks even more than I thought. -

We (South Carolina) have 12 freshmen in the 2-deep across the board. I'm as nervous about this game as I have been in a long time for an opener. DT is a position of extreme weakness right now as there are 3 guys out or suspended for the opener. No proven receivers with McKinley gone to the Broncos and Jared Cook with the Titans this year. With that said, I still expect to be able to pull out a win against a Tom O'Brien coached N.C. State team. People love to rave about what Russell Wilson accomplished last year, but they fail to mention what teams he did that against. Don't get me wrong, he is a pretty damn good QB, but I don't think he is deserving of the pedestal some already put him onto. -
At least this thread has the funny in the last few pages. DON'T STOP!!! BELEEEEEEEEEVIN!!! seriesly.

QUOTE (sin city sox fan @ Aug 25, 2009 -> 10:02 PM) I can't speak for you personally (as I don't analyze every post on this board) but I've seen an incredible amount of negativity on this site all season long (although its peaked recently). I really think this team has the talent to dominate baseball.....but the negativity of this fan base has destroyed the attitude of the team. This team (and almost every team in all sports) needs positive energy to reach its potential and Sox fans as a whole have provided very little of it this season. What the f***? OK, I'll wear my "We can do it!!" attitude from here on out and listen to "Don't stop believin" Journey CD on loop for the next 3 months. That should directly translate to at least 30 more wins.

Look, its a team that knows Thornton is going to throw nothing but fastballs, and going right after them.
-
Hope you like your no decision for your efforts Freddie! Its no wonder our relievers have so many decisions this year.
-
Nice time to pull Freddy, and I'll be damned, nice outing Freddy, I wasn't expecting that at all.
-
I don't like this matchup, not a bit.
-
Gordo is in a funk. But hey, lets try to make 1 run stretch!
-
