  1. Well, we're hitting the ball. Its just a matter of can we stop the bleeding from the pitching mound.
  2. Some of the same folks that were screaming to everyone "Don't worry, the offense will come around!!" are now the same ones that say we're hamstrung with a bad contract for 2-3 years with Peavy.... At least there is no consistency at SoxTalk, if nothing else.
  3. Man, everything I read now, points to FlashForward being cancelled. That will suck majorly. The last show that I was really into, to this level, was Jericho. Unfortunately it suffered the same fate. When will networks learn that a 4 month break on a show is a bad, BAD idea? And when will they learn that most of America doesn't want to watch one 'reality' garbage show or crappy game show after another?
  4. QUOTE (DBAHO @ Apr 12, 2010 -> 10:54 AM) Pretty cruical victory in terms of getting a little bit of momentum heading into Toronto. Certainly don't want to go there on a 5 game losing streak. Nice to see a little bit of offense finally, albeit still that not that much. And hey, no Halladay to face while we're there! Thats one positive at least. Here is to hoping that the bats are alive north of the border.
  5. QUOTE (Athomeboy_2000 @ Apr 10, 2010 -> 05:07 PM) Heard this theory today: I dont believe that, but it would be an interesting double-twist. That is my thoughts right now too. At least, thats what I'm hoping....but we'll see. And I agree, the twist was nice, I have loved Flash Forward from the start...well, except for Joseph Fiennes' bad over-acting.
  6. What a bonehead call to try and score there, but we'll take it!
  7. Man, I didn't want Thome to have a shot here..
  8. Valiant effort from Mark today, with not great stuff, and still 7 innings. C'mon guys, get us a run or 2 for Mark!
  9. No matter how you try to build your team, Ozzie, we will still live and die by the longball. And congrats Beckham!! 4-4
  10. Fking pathetic. This is a ridiculously bad and predictable offense.
  11. Buehrle looks awful today. Great time to get behind to a team we can't consistently score on. Sweet, 1-5 here we come.
  12. I'm sorry. You can sugar coat it all you want, say "Well its early" or "Its still cold, wait until it warms up"...but the fact remains, this is one of the most inept, badly thrown together offensive lineups that we've seen in a long time. The additions in the off season make no sense at all for this 2010 team.
  13. Pathetic efforts Beckham and CQ, pure awesomeness.
  14. Who the hell was that in Linebrink's uniform?
  15. Yeah. Pods was a magician with the glove, and cannon for an arm. We should have done whatever it took to keep him in a Sox uniform.
  16. We have one of the most inept offspeed hitting offenses I've seen. An abysmal defensive team at some spots. Add to that, a bullpen (sans Santos and Putz sometimes) that can't throw strikes, and boys we have a helluva team.
  17. Jesus christ people, quit picking apart everything I say. Freddy, OUR 5th starter, pitched perfectly well, for OUR Chicago White Sox, where he is OUR 5th starter, and we didn't know what to expect. There, that defined well enough for you all?
  18. And of course, Detroit handling the Indians easily. Where oh where, has our ability to get any solid contact consistently, gone?
  19. Freddy pitched plenty fine enough for a 5th starter, its the 2nd time in a row he allowed a leadoff walk, it was bound to hurt eventually.
