  1. This kid is all over the place, yet...0 hits....
  2. Whew!! For about 5 minutes yesterday, I was thinking that our offense had finally awoken from its hibernation slumber. Good thing tonight, they are reassuring me that it was just a momentary lapse in judgement.
  3. So now only 2 guys in our lineup go hitless...
  4. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) Why would you use Dotel with a 4 run lead? We're tryin to see how fast we can get his arm to fall into pieces. Apparently Oz thinks its best to use Dotel in every game, regardless of the situation.
  5. QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 3, 2008 -> 10:07 PM) He'd have to actually sit a few games to keep that option from vesting. I don't see how KW and Ozzie will let that option vest. He will have some days off soon, or else I really am completely baffled with our leadership. Well actually, I am either way, but still.
  6. How bad are our 'super sluggers' right now?? At least Thome's salary will come off the books after this season
  7. Hah, so sad that even on a good night like tonight, we have our Debbie Downers in Paul Konerko and Jim Thome
  8. Wow, sexy 'Lexei is becoming one to really watch here....Uribe who at second?
  9. Nick Swisher representing with that now .203 average.
  10. Nice to see the real Mark Buehrle of 2008 step back up here in the 5th inning
  11. QUOTE (witesoxfan @ Jun 1, 2008 -> 01:32 AM) can we seriously stop f***ing relating the 2007 team to the 2008 team? In case you didn't notice, it's a different year and a completely different team. f***in a Yes, its a different team, and yet....the exact same results so far...the comparisons, while seemingly unwarranted, are definitely noticeable. Offensive philosophy the problem? Aging power hitters who don't adjust? A s***ty hitting 'instructor'? I don't know what the cause of all the offensive mediocrity is, but the struggles from 2007 that everyone kept saying "Don't worry, they'll start hitting soon enough", are painfully visible this year, with a 'completely different team'.
  12. Hey Javy, thanks again for yet another damn fine outing.....sorry we hit like a teamful of Rafael Belliards.
  13. QUOTE (Frankensteiner @ May 31, 2008 -> 08:13 PM) Next person to suggest Swisher should be benched in favor of Anderson should just.............. At least Swisher has an upside. Really? Let me know what that is...because I'll take Andersons upside (the top notch defense in CF) anyday over Nick Swisher right now.
  14. QUOTE (southsideirish71 @ May 31, 2008 -> 08:07 PM) Well right now the Rays have the same amount of runs as we have hits. I guess I find it hard to express just how damn irritated and frustrated I am with this team right now. As good as our pitching is, and that was supposed to be the question mark of this team, we've got to settle for a bunch of overpaid, aging stiffs that all look the same up at the plate, and seem to have no idea of strategy or hitting plan at all.
  15. I wonder how it feels as a starting pitcher, knowing if you make one mistake and give up 1 run, there is a pretty damn good chance you're getting an "L" or at best, a no decision
  16. This "offense" really makes me want to go smack someones mama...I'm so sick and damn tired of such lackluster, s*** performances from a batting order that is making MORE than their share of the team payroll Pull your f***ing weight, you sacks of s***.
  17. We are a GIDP machine, such crap....take advantage of the men on base already!!
  18. Nick Swisher ,hands down, is the biggest rally killer in the Sox lineup....at least Thome accidentally runs into one every now and then... What a colossal disappointment..
  19. Not so sure we really needed to use Dotel tonight, he gets more than enough work as it is...hope it doesn't hurt us in some way.
