  1. I am one of the few that though PJ matured with age I guess. With the exception of Riot Act(no thanks to political rock, kthx), I've enjoyed every release from PJ. I REALLY liked Binaural. Last time I saw PJ was the Yield tour, still sounded just right to me in concert. As for Interpol, I can understand the 'really like them or really hate them' aspect, its a monotonous voice(did I spell that right? no idea), but I enjoy hearing it. I've only listened to the new CD a few times, but parts of it are growing on me. Me being the huge Cornell fan I am, I'm still wearing "Carry On" out daily.
  2. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Jul 31, 2007 -> 12:19 PM) In Darin's defense, when it counted, he hit .264 in 48 Games. Also stole 7 bases. That's more than I can say about some other current roster players. (Fields, Podsednik, Owens, Dye, Cintron, Gonzalez, Terrero, Uribe and Hall) Not saying that he is the greatest in the world, but when healthy (big when) he's better than 1/2 the team. So you are saying that grindErstad is more help to this team than Josh Fields, assuming both are healthy? Wow.
  3. no no no!! I dubbed Prancer Mr. Glass last year, so grindErstad needs something else.
  4. 5/43, 13 K's now in Charlotte. Simply awesome
  5. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 26, 2007 -> 04:54 PM) Yeah, Podsednik will still be here next year. I KNOW how happy that will make me in 2008...
  6. You guys know that the whole idea was to let other people start Gamethreads once you start one and we lose, right? Thats what that whole pinned and closed thread by me was for. Granted, I know we are brutal this year, but still, let some other folks have their shot at it.
  7. 5-12, 5.76 ERA Definately a good $10 mill worth there, top notch KW.
  8. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jul 20, 2007 -> 09:11 PM) 7/14/06 - 7/15/07: 9-20, 5.35 ERA, 1.46 WHIP, 5.6 K/9 Jesus Christ, thats absolutely ridiculous for that contract he has. Great job on that one KW.

    Jellyfish shopping

    Think I forgot a few facts as well. They do alot of different shows per se, different types of things for sale at different times. You can look here for the show schedule, and see what will be up for sale and when. It goes 24 hours a day. Theres also a live show everyday at noon that has an added game you can play....you just have to see it to know what I'm talking about. Yell at me if you have any questions, I have the same username over there as well.

    Jellyfish shopping

    Has anyone besides me gotten extremely addicted to shopping online at Jellyfish.com?? I'll admit, the reverse tickdown pricing style got me hooked from the start, and thats a page I spend alot of my time on these days(thanks to some bad ChiSox playing). I have made a few purchases on there, and gotten some pretty good discounts as well. Sorry it sounds like a shameless plug(with referral), but I betcha you spend some time on there if you give it a chance!! NCAA '08 was on there this afternoon, I think it went for like $40-45 shipped. Give it a look when you've got time, Jas feel free to delete me if you wanna though. Its the most unique shopping site I've found in a long time though. And, if you are REAL nice, you can signup via my referral, Here!!
  11. Um..........yeah. So, I'm just assuming that KW will still be smart enough to move Contreras to whoever gives us the best deal, Iguchi either via trade now or let him walk after '07 and let Richar have a shot, Dye traded to whoever and let Sweeney play RF for '07. And so help me god, if I have to see anyone named Podsednik or Erstad on this roster in '08...
  12. I missed the announcement, so if anyone wants to add specifics to the subtitle, go for it!
  13. Eh, its Jenks AND Bukvichs fault.....they both blew donkey nuts, dont try to split the blame
  14. Well, I'm CLEARLY shocked that Prancer is going back on the DL...who'da thought, the best leadoff man ever, would hurt himself yet again
  15. Guys, when you post stuff in here...thats...NOT fact, please please please use the appropriate titles. Don't try to get a rise out of everyone, we're all a bit on edge over this all.
  16. 2007 Day to day: 7/1 - Strained Left Ribcage Muscle DL: 4/17-6/23 - Right Groin Strain DL: 1/23-3/14 - Groin Surgery That info on the right side, the photo on the left/middle, and the "The call me Mr. Glass" on the bottom maybe?
  17. OK gents, I know I've had a few quality sigs made for me by our SoxTalk contingent, but its time for one that rings true to me... I want one with a photo of Pods holding his side, or whatever photo that has him appearing hurt, and the text should have the dates of his DL stints, and finally on the bottom: "They call me Mr. Glass" I'll get the actual DL info and post it on here myself, many thanks in advance!!
  18. Sorry for all the delays on this lately. Work has REALLY been kicking my ass and theres not enough hours in the day lately. BUT, I will continue to keep this updated, no matter how bad the team plays!
  19. QUOTE(WCSox @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 02:26 PM) I thought that Jon was only under contract through next year? Jon Garland p 3 years/$29M (2006-08) * signed extension 12/05 * 06:$7M, 07:$10M, 08:$12M
  20. QUOTE(Kalapse @ Jun 29, 2007 -> 02:20 PM) Or you REALLY don't want 30% of your payroll tied up in 2 players over the next 3 years, one of whom is a huge risk to be injured/ineffective some time over the life of the deal and leave you eating $14M+ for a few years. There's a pretty big downside to giving Mark 4+ years and ~$60M guaranteed. If Konerko, Buehrle and Garland are all still with the Sox in 2009, somewhere around $40M of probably an $85-$95M payroll will locked up in 3 players. I'm not sure I understand exactly where this assumption is coming from....based on what?
  21. C'mon, I'm sure you all are capable of having a discussion without calling people silly names, and making ignorant statements. Start doing it now please. Also, no reason to start any more rumors about this incident
  22. Yeah, this story is turning alot worse, in a hurry...
  23. My life is saved, Sir Prancer is back.
  24. "Shaffer, at the helm when the White Sox drafted such stalwarts as Jack McDowell (1987), Joe Crede (1996) and Mark Buehrle (1998)" Hahah, give me a f***ing break....how can you even count Buehrle as a 'good draft' when he went where he did. And lets not forget the YEARS of futility as the scout head. Good riddance.
  25. When grindErstad and Prancer return, we won't lose another game all season, period!!
