  1. Buerhle was not good, but Ozzie had the bullpen ready when the score was 3-2 and wouldn't use it until the score was 6-2. Utter stupidity. Sandy doesn't move when the ball gets 20 ft. away from the catcher, and then a DP follows.
  2. QUOTE(southsideirish71 @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 08:05 PM) Ozzie went out and asked him how he felt. Buerhle being a competitor said I am fine I can get the guy out. Ozzie not taking facts into consideration decided to play buddy and let him play in there. Just like he played buddy for Freddy and for the Count yesterday. And he is full of s*** in his quotes on the radio and in the paper about knowing that this is go time and he needs to go to the pen he will. That is an outright lie. Why are you asking a guy with an ERA around 10.00 his last 6 or 7 starts how he's feeling? Hawk needs to layoff the umpires.
  3. Buerhle needed to be yanked after the walk. But Ozzie leaves him in for 3 or 4 more to reach base. It really is unbelievable. There are a ton of Little League managers that would have known better.
  4. This is as poorly managed inning as there has ever been in the history of White Sox baseball. Quit asking the pitchers what they think, just like KW needs to quit asking the players about the roster. Anyone could have seen this coming.
  5. Now you give the bullpen absolutely no margin for error. But wait, no bullpen. For the love of God Ozzie. Resign.
  6. Escobar threw a couple called balls that looked right down the middle.
  7. This is so stupid. Hawk is b****ing about balls and strikes, something we were told by the Soxtalk resident police officer he didn't do
  8. If there are any baserunners, you have to take Buerhle out. The Angels have too good a bullpen to get down 3 and seriously think you are still in it.
  9. Nice job by Crede. Buerhle has to hold him. Ozzie needs the bullpen to be ready, and a quick hook needs to be issued if anything goes wrong in the top of the 7th.
  10. I'd love to see a green light on 3-0 just once.
  11. The offense cannot let him off the hook here.
  12. At least get this run home, and hopefully Buerhle can keep them at 3, although I'm skeptical.
  13. QUOTE(SoxHawk1980 @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 07:38 PM) And...for a guy who can't hit with s***, he sure plays sub-mediocre defense. And for a guy who makes less than $10 million a year, he sure does have a hot wife.
  14. That pitch looked right down the middle.
  15. I have the feeling Thome is going to tie this game.Either that or fan.
  16. For a guy who rarely hits a homer, Pods sure does fan a lot.
  17. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 07:29 PM) Fasano was the original guy I wanted off the scrap heap, if for nothing else than that awesome stache. And the fact that he looks like he just came from a kegger is pretty sweet too.
  18. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 07:25 PM) I really can't believe you actually want him. Lopez makes a lot of money but keeping him away from Boston may be the difference between being the WC and making tee times. FWIW, I'd take Sal Fasano anyday over Alomar. I know the Sox coaches love Sandy, but being a nice guy doesn't win you games. His "presence" obviously hasn't had the positive result everyone had hoped.
  19. QUOTE(Brian @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 07:18 PM) Watch the replays of the HR's. Sandy wanting the ball down or in and Buehrle misses. For some reason, I don't think AJ was calling for high change-ups either. The fact remains, Buerhle has lost enough velocity that if he's not pinpoint, he's batting practice.
  20. QUOTE(WSoxMatt @ Aug 7, 2006 -> 07:17 PM) Liriano out after 4 IP 4 ER 10 hits He's pitching like a White Sox. Coop would be proud.
  21. Its seems every time the Sox score a run when Buerhle's pitching, the opposition scores right away. Of course, they score nearly every inning he's pitching anyway.
  22. Sandy is really affecting Buerhle's performance. I'm glad they found the reason for his struggles, and its even better news it wasn't Buerhle at all, just the guy putting down the numbers.
