  1. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:33 PM) Just reminding you of last year. Thought I remember seeing you say it wouldn't happen again. It isn't worth coming much anymore really. That's why all of the really good posters don't come to the game threads anymore. It's just a big whine fest from 5-year olds. Sorry we miss you in the gamethreads giving us such wisdom like Buerhle is better than Santana.
  2. QUOTE(jphat007 @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:32 PM) He got him to pop it up. Ozzie did the job. Cotts did the job. I don't think any pitcher is good enough to direct where weak little pop ups go to. Guys who have been as hot as Morneau have been get hits like that. Frank Thomas probably has at least 10 extra points on his career batting average with little dinks that fell within 2 feet of the RF line. Don't pitch to the hottest hitter in baseball and let him beat you.
  3. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:29 PM) just think Santana is going on Sunday... The Twins have won his last 18 starts in the Metrodome, and he's up against Vazquez. Tomorrow is the game to avoid a sweep.
  4. When guys are as hot as Morneau has been, it makes no difference if its a lefty or righty he's facing. That and the fact that 11 out of the last 17 lefties who have faced Cotts have gotten hits, Ozzie has to be brain damaged.
  5. QUOTE(MinnesotaSoxFan @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:26 PM) we were setting up a double play if i remember correctly... now this move baffled me like no other FIRE OZZIE
  6. They are walking someone to get to Mourneau?
  7. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:22 PM) Cliff was hurt. What's Neal's excuse? Cliff wasn't hurt. He was just meat.
  8. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:19 PM) does anyone better epitomize the contrast between this year's team and last year's than Neal Cotts? Although he's just a memory, Cliff Politte.
  9. I haven't heard Hawk throw out an equidistant yet. What gives?
  10. The Twins bullpen is spectacular.
  11. QUOTE(BFirebird @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:08 PM) Uribe should have been PH for...I don't know about Anderson. Mack in center is just brutal...especially in this park. You have to roll the dice in that situation. If the Sox don't score another run, Willie Mays in his prime in CF won't make a difference.
  12. It would be nice if Pods was standing on 3rd. He has a hard time picking the ball up. On Konerko's double yesterday in which Pods scored, he did pull up at second for some reason before taking off again.
  13. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 09:04 PM) He has absolutely no sense of urgency. He's saving every lefty for Nathan. I think I'd rather take my chances with this guy.
  14. Ozzie bats the 2 guys who have absolutely no chance of hitting this guy.
  15. Until last season when they were nails on the road, the Sox had a much better home record than road record. Are our announcers complaining about getting pitches, Hawk a few times and Farmer tonight, an admission that the White Sox have been guilty of the same thing? I think when Garcia is out on the mound, there is an incredible amount of meatballs to be hit. The Sox are lucky the Twins have only scored 4.
  16. I would just like Ozzie to say Freddy didn't do the job, just once. And yank him tonight while they still have a chance to win the game.
  17. Nice job Freddy. Keep up the fine work. Comeback and have Freddy in a rush to give it back.
  18. Uribe will be lucky to foul one off here.
  19. What are the chances any runs the Sox score this inning, Freddy gives right back?
  20. OMG Torii comes up empty against the Sox for maybe the first time ever.
  21. QUOTE(iguchi=dank @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 08:39 PM) i'm with you 110%. just odd seeing the tigers possibly blow a game. I am totally focused on the wild card, but hey, just throwin it out there and the main thing is I don't want to watch Freddy pitch. sorry They blew it all right.
  22. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 08:34 PM) No personal attacks allowed. I can't believe I had never thought of it before. Piece of dog ____?
  23. Bonser shows big game Freddy how you're supposed to pitch when your offense gets you the lead.
  24. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 18, 2006 -> 08:30 PM) Garcia has let the Twins scatter 8 hits thru 4 innings. He's a big game guy. 4 innings 8 hits 3 runs, thats good, just listen to Ozzie on the postgame.
