  1. That should be it for Garland. Except for 1 pitch, he was very good yet again, and should get the win with a little help from the bullpen.
  2. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:59 PM) Tonite in BHam Russell 2.2 IP 11H 11R 2BB 5K's 2HBP and a WP He should be pitching for the Cardinals.
  3. How many homers has Glaus hit against Garland?
  4. QUOTE(jasonxctf @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:55 PM) cotts and mccarthy... one hit and take him out. i miss the days of Ozzie helping pitchers preserve wins instead of leaving them in long enough to lose them Garland has been great except for 1 pitch, but I wouldn't let him lose this game if I were Ozzie. He's over 100 pitches, I'd yank him next baserunner. I would yank him now.
  5. Is Garland working on the Billy Koch look?
  6. Not the prettiest 3 batter inning, but it works.
  7. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:45 PM) Lets get a DP here. you got it.
  8. QUOTE(fathom @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:43 PM) He better not stop Utley's streak. I heard someone speculating today that Glavine is the guy that will stop it. I guess Utley hasn't fared too well against him.
  9. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:42 PM) El duque just tripled.... Is he coughing up a lung? He's in great shape, but he smokes his sack off.
  10. Garland needs to shut them down at the bottom of this inning. Its something the staff has had a problem with the last several weeks.
  11. QUOTE(ottawa_sox @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:37 PM) Time for Kong to go the other way. ok
  12. Thome owns Halladay, but his back isn't 100%. He's moving around looks Frank Thomas-esque.
  13. I don't think people would think much of Jim Thome's glove work if Ozzie threw him in LF. Its the same although not quite as extreme as Mack in CF. Its stupid. How many times do you have to be burned before you quit sticking your hand in the fire? It also would be nice if a member of the greatest rotation ever assembled would shut the opposition down when the Sox cut the deficit to 1 run.
  14. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) Roy Halladay has to be nasty as all hell to bunt against, especially if he's expecting it. The only run I'm pissed about is the one making it 3-2 right now. I'd rather bunt a breaking ball breaking down than a fastball. Didn't they give Mack 1 swing? They get him behind in the count and expect him to get a bunt down against a guy who probably is a top 5 pitcher in all of baseball.
  15. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:24 PM) Is the fishing Wave going around? That's one thing that must stop in the upper deck at USCF.
  16. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:23 PM) Montero gives up a 3-run jack, Garza in line for the W. Ozzie was real high on Montero,.
  17. QUOTE(CYGarland @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:20 PM) I would add Vazquez and Garcia to that list as well. They seem to have a beach of a time pitching over errors...Hell, we should have our best D out thereEVERY nite from now on,maybe that will get the starters in a groove The Sox as a team have had a difficult time pitching over defensive miscues this season.
  18. QUOTE(shawnhillegas @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:19 PM) yeah, hes just slow now. Maybe he should give Brady Anderson a call this winter.
  19. Pods has had a lot more run production this season.
  20. What are the chances he takes one a foot off the outside corner for strike 3?
  21. QUOTE(Heads22 @ Aug 4, 2006 -> 07:14 PM) Tracey pulled in favor of Montero. Hopefully he's roided up, and the Knights will win.
