You have to figure McCarthy is going to be in the rotation next year. Anyone think Thornton or Cotts may get a shot to stretch it out in spring training and KW deals 2 starters? If Chacon can bring back Craig Wilson, I know Wilson isn't the greatest, but Chacon is brutal, 2 Sox starters could free up a ton of money and bring back a lot of players.

I have been one of Contreras' biggest supporters since he became a White Sox. Thome has to be livid he can't take cuts against this pitching staff.

The fact that they would send him to Chicago would indicate to me the Sox thought it could be a big problem. Maybe they didn't say anything because if he was hurt they probably would have tried for a big bat at the deadline and didn't want the price to get higher than gas.

Crede does look tired lately, but doesn't he historically hit well in KC?

Pods looked like he was playing bounce or fly and he needed to get one on the bounce. He is really pathetic defensively. He wasn't great last year, but the dropoff this season has been tremendous.
