  1. I'll do it! sad thing about it is we can all do it and do it better............me thinks we need to send jm a new managers 101 book........take all of our best comments and put it in there for him to learn from.........we'd see a complete 360 from this team............. Or we could just appoint you manager, let you loose in the clubhouse, flip some tables, and cuss a time or two. That might do the trick! After all Jerry's not going to do that, someone has to! CWSOX45 id do more than flip a few tables... id toss a few bats and kick the s*** out of a few people...........hows that for effective managing........ Would you call the players b****es?
  2. When all you need is a flyball to tie the game, why would you have Daubach give up a strike when it is 3-1. He hit it hard, it was just unlucky it was at Pena.
  3. If Jimmie J.J. Walker was the Sox hitting coach, the offense would be dyn-O-mite
  4. 1-5 against Tampa Bay and Detroit. This has been the most disqusting week in White Sox history
  5. I wish JM would turn over the post game spread and call them b****es.
  6. We haven' had one in a couple innings, I'm shaking over here
  7. On Gameday, it says Harris bunted for Crede that don't even consider what he does batting.
  8. 3 runs in 3 games against the Tigers. THE TIGERS!!!If they're not embarrassed now they never will be.
  9. Mears will pick up his 3rd save of the series and the 3rd save of his career. Fire JM
  10. Eric Munson has 3 career stolen bases. They're treating him like Rickey Henderson
  11. At least we're getting our double play fix taken care of today
  12. Why does Daubach take his helmet off so much?
  13. I don't think its a big deal, if the Sox and Cards were in the same league it would be. But if the Sox and Cards ever play against each other and MB pitches and St. Louis wins, more than a few eyebrows would be raised. I wish though, he would just shut up about the Cardinals.
  14. Who on this board has never whacked a sausage?
  15. The Cardinals had ample opportunity to add him to their organization, the White Sox did and developed him to the point he is at right now. Its time for the Cardinal allegiance to end. "We" should be the White Sox
  16. I meant to say wouldn't join in the celebration, I will edit.
  17. Its a little different , us saying we and MB saying we. MB plays for the White Sox , that is who pays him. We to him should be his teammates. I don't think its a big deal. I do think he will bolt here his first opportunity. But with all the turmoil about the other 2 episodes you'd think he'd have learned his lesson. I hope if the Sox ever played the Cardinals in the World Series and the Cardinals won he wouldn't join in the celebration.
  18. Tom Seaver was up for the job? I heard Mike North was seriously considered, that would have been horrible. When Seaver got traded to Boston for Psycho Lyons, Hawk was the GM.
  19. JM says he still needs to see Everett a few more times to determine if he can play CF. Has he watched the games? Who are our major league scouts? Shoudn't they have know he can't play center? I like his bat, maybe they got him to play a corner and one of our corners is going to go.
  20. Give Simon a break, he was just beating the sausage.
  21. Actually, I do visit quite a few boards and have seen it at WSI form time to time, but it seems to be most prevalent here. If this is so widely known, why has it not been out in the media? There are a few columnists in this city that would be screaming for this guy to be let go if his hip was in that bad of shape. southside2k3, I like that line-up as well. He and the team have been questioned about the hip several times, and everytime he has denied there is anything wrong with it. If they admitted there was this hip problem, the Sox would be brutalized for giving him $20 million this past off season. So it is kept quiet. Plus there are many privacy issues regarding injuries, just look at Williams with the Bulls and how very little information was going out on that. If the White Sox and Paulie don't want his condition out in the press, it won't be. You don't drop off that fast when you're 27 years old unless there is something physically wrong.
  22. I think the fact that Konerko, who has as much pride as anyone, wouldn't go down to get some extra at bats, speaks volumes. He knows it would do him no good. Everything is fine with him except one thing, and that hip is not going to be fixed in Charlotte.
