QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 02:45 PM) Check out this great scientific survey: https://t.co/jyi2CEWSk1 lmao he is going to cite this "poll" in response to someone asking him about West Bank settlements Is this something anyone actually claims? What's unsettling is how "us vs. them" it gets in tone the further down you go. Is this bad for the Party? Does the media attack our movement? Still holding out hope that they're just far too incompetent to be the authoritarians they so clearly want to be. Our country's reputation will never recover from this embarrassment

25th Amendment should be invoked. This flurry of insanity and scandals is how he won the election, really. It was all so over the top and ridiculous and obviously disqualifying, but nobody focused in on any specific story and really made it stick because every day was something else zany. Meanwhile, Clinton faced the slow drip drip drip of EMAILS for the entire campaign (first the server, then the DNC hacks, then her server again at the last minute) and that was by far the biggest thing that came into people's minds with her. But, as much as Trump's crazy mind might seem to think otherwise, this isn't the campaign anymore. This is running the country, and he doesn't have the same opportunities to run away from the negative coverage.

ok this one deserves its own post welp Trump also stated that Flynn "did nothing wrong."

good lord trump's presser today. Also bragging about the "biggest electoral college victory since Reagan," which was actually a smaller margin than George HW Bush, Clinton, Clinton again, Obama, and Obama again, but who's counting? We'll also only be pursuing bilateral trade deals, so that sound you heard a little while ago was an entire region realigning to China. Flynn is only gone because of the ILLEGAL leaks of FAKE NEWS, and no that's somehow not a contradiction e: literally "the leaks are real, the news is fake" what is this I don't even I'm still baffled on a daily basis that 60+ million Americans looked at this man and though "yes, this is good."

http://www.dallasnews.com/business/busines...sional-scrutiny Boeing's rival Lockheed makes the F-35. Now I'm all for s***ting on that horribly bloated and expensive and marginally useful plane, but it seems pretty odd to have the rival CEO on the call discussing it?

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 11:37 AM) I know nothing about the man but that resume looks good. I'm assuming he won't be a friend of labor because he's Republican, but he otherwise looks like a competent, qualified Republican candidate for the office.

How on earth is a company like Snapchat valued at $22.2bn? A global manufacturer who makes millions of cars a year like Ford is only valued at $50bn. There's got to be a gigantic looming tech bubble out there.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 09:05 AM) What America, Saudi Arabia and other countries are doing in Yemen is a disgrace. This isn't just a Trump thing, goes back to Obama. Oh definitely One of the major negative side effects of Trumpo sucking the air out of all of politics since July 2015 is that basically nothing of substance has been paid attention to or discussed since then. It's been whatever dumb/awful s*** he's on about that day or EMAILS for over a year and a half now.

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 08:45 AM) Here is the joke of the day Hahahahahaahah hilarious "I'm sorry we reported on your corruption, sir. We'll never do it again, promise!" Remember when Trump was literally praising wikileaks and begging Russia to hack his political opponents? I don't know why the media isn't pressing on Trump's reaction more, to be honest. The story from all of his sycophants is that Flynn lost Trump's trust weeks ago and that his was just a trust issue not a legal issue, but Trump's been basically defending Flynn and attacking anyone who reported on him or said anything negative since then. Why should anyone believe that he'd have done a damn thing absent the leaks, despite knowing for weeks Flynn was susceptible to blackmail and lying both publicly and privately? (it is because he made these calls on Trump's behalf and his administration never gets their messaging straight ) QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Feb 16, 2017 -> 08:51 AM) Why is he holding a rally in Florida on Saturday? Is that a normal thing presidents have done in the past? Nope! But he filed for candidacy for the 2020 campaign the day of his inauguration, so you can already donate to his next campaign!

QUOTE (Dick Allen @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 11:09 AM) That is my MO. I keep thinking we are going to pay, but time is running out for the really bad stuff. March can really suck, but at least you shouldn't get 2 feet of snow and 20 below windchills. damn it dick, now you've cursed us all

QUOTE (Reddy @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 10:32 AM) This is a bridge too far for me. Is anyone here striking on Friday? If not, I'd consider it. We're at the point where we can't just make calls and sign petitions. We need to take real action - big action. We need thousands engaging in sit ins (outs) outside the White House. We need GOP congressmen berated every time they walk outside. We need to divest our money from the big banks. We need to speak with our wallets. We need to do everything in our power to save this country. I mean, there's a f***ing Russian warship 30 miles from Connecticut. So I would personally appreciate if any of you would join the Strike on Friday, but if that's not plausible, at least share this event. These truly are desperate times, and we all need to get involved. #F17Strike Event Page FYI this a routine thing, and the US also parks Navy vessels in international waters off the coast of foreign countries all the time. We've got a carrier group near Iran pretty much 24/7.

QUOTE (bmags @ Feb 15, 2017 -> 09:25 AM) What we're seeing is fairly predictable in what happens when you go from campaigning to governing and people don't have the other candidate to try and balance out their coverage. But that said, this is all moving a lot faster than I thought. I did think he'd have a grace period, and I did think he'd buy press with a bunch of Carrier type deals. But, that really does just seem to be a fluke done by the fact that Pence was governor. Trump went his whole life thinking merely being the center of attention would provide power and people would have to pay attention and respect him if he's President. Now he's President and realizing that it's an actual job that gains respect by recipricating, and showing a seriousness of the position. Going to be a long, long few years. He's doing a speed-run of the Nixon Presidency
