QUOTE (Buehrle>Wood @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 07:01 PM) Is the media seriously running with the golden showers troll? These were made in 4chan last July. Did they run with the ones where he dresses as a Japanese girl too? Buzzfeed got duped. lol you voted for trump and you're going to accuse anyone else of being duped, just lol

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 06:49 PM) But emails. damn it I meant to make a "sure, our President is deeply compromised and is blackmailed by Russia, but at least he doesn't have lax email server management!" joke.

QUOTE (Quinarvy @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 06:34 PM) Yeah. As much as I hate BuzzFeed, their news department isn't terrible. Now we just wait to see if it ends up being verified in any way, shape or form. The memo BuzzFeed posted is legit, and it's what intelligence sources presented to Trump's team recently. What's unverified are the specific claims of the British and other intelligence sources, at least unclassified/publicly. e: how? how does this election/Presidency get even more absurd? e2: trump so into golden showers, he even makes his plane get them https://twitter.com/FoxNews/status/79673146...src=twsrc%5Etfw rather than being awful and emblematic of everything terrible with Clinton's campaigning style, "trumped up, trickle-down" was extremely accurate

Trump has his first press conference since July scheduled for tomorrow. I'm guessing that's getting delayed.

I'm still skimming through the rest, which involves a lot of accusations about collusion with Kremlin insiders. It also accuses Trump of directly bribing St. Petersburg officials. His lawyer, Michael Cohen, is accused of meeting with members of the Russian government and operatives/hackers. The document alleges that they discussed how to handle covert payments to operatives and make sure they wouldn't be traced if Clinton won. Apparently, Cohen's wife is Russian and his father-in-law is a property developer in Moscow. The head of Rosneft is also accused of offering Carter Page and Trump's associates a stake in the company if sanctions are lifted. and re: source, maybe not (D) Senators, but the intelligence community instead who fears Trump's just going to dump all of the info and stop all investigations

...what? edit: god damn just got it, that's embarassing Comey's had this evidence since August but didn't mention it, but he sure as s*** rushed out that "MORE EMAILS! (maybe?)" letter as fast as he could. I wonder if these documents were leaked by Democrats who were pretty shocked that Comey tried to claim that he wouldn't comment on any "pending investigations" re: Trump/Russia at the Senate hearings today. I'm going to miss Reid, who called Comey out on this bulls*** back in October.

Would explain why he's been pro-Russia for so, so long and why it's his only consistent position. e: I mean, this wasn't exactly unpredictable given that he had someone on Putin's payroll running his campaign for a bit, that he's questioned NATO the entire campaign, praised Putin consistently, and had the GOP platform changed to Russian-friendly positions on Ukraine. e2: David Corn reported on this back in October

Buzzfeed's published the full document produced by the British intelligence source, but cautions that the claims are all unverified at this point. https://www.buzzfeed.com/kenbensinger/these...OqL#.dgpYMX8Vmv

There have been kompromat rumors floating around, but that report seems more concrete than anything else I've seen. Trump spent time in Russia and has lots of business dealings there. I mean, if those allegations are true, his campaign was colluding with foreign agents and Russia has very serious information on Trump they can use to blackmail him. That's pretty serious.

Intel chiefs presented Trump with claims of Russian efforts to compromise him our next President is a Russian puppet

QUOTE (RockRaines @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 03:03 PM) I mean, Marijuana is still illegally to the federal government, but we've left it to the states to determine if it is there. Thats almost a model of what the republican party used to stand for Nobody actually cares about federalism.

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 02:34 PM) So how is that not "survival of the fittest?" I guess I don't see a reason to be "thankful" that thousands of people will get illnesses that can be crippling or even fatal because of anti-vax morons and through no fault of their own?

Also said that the feds will go after legal pot under the new administration.

Donald Trump’s ‘first attempt to ignore the law’

QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 02:21 PM) Thankfully Darwin will handle this. No vaccines, no health insurance = ... But this is going to also impact people who were vaccinated but it wasn't 100% effective, newborns, people who can't get vaccinated for whatever reason.

Related to "seriously, how dumb and uninformed is the man who will be President next Friday?," Trump is pushing Congress to repeal and replace the ACA by the end of the month.
-
QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 01:46 PM) Kennedy also said he lobbied Trump for increasing exemptions from vaccines as part of his commission on safety and scientific integrity, so at least we know it'll be fair and balanced. I have a friend with a delightful 4 year old girl named Norah. She can't be vaccinated for reasons I never asked about but the girl winds up in the hospital with a severe cold or pneumonia once a year due to these issues. She is alive because she hasn't been exposed to anything worse. Her mom keeps moving as they publish vaccination rates on preschools and elementary schools in her area. Olivia Nuzzi is going through Trump's twitter to find all of his anti-vax nonsense. There's not exactly a shortage of material. https://twitter.com/Olivianuzzi?ref_src=tws...7Ctwgr%5Eauthor

QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Jan 10, 2017 -> 12:25 PM) Let me put it this way. If it were Barack Obama on top of the ticket instead of Hillary Clinton, the electoral map looks like 1984. I don't deny that, just pointing out that the argument 'but she only won red states in the primaries!' doesn't really line up with general election results. It's extremely unfortunate that people need to feel personally "inspired" in order to vote against such an awful human being like Trump, but that's the reality for many people and it's part of what cost Clinton the election for sure.
