"kellyanne detailed a plan on hannity" is one of the quickest ways I've ever seen someone torpedo their own argument

States Won by Trump Have Highest 'Obamacare' Enrollment
-
It wasn't anything that the GOP ever pursued before, either. It was never a priority of theirs.

"My Congressman/Senator is great, it's the other guys who suck!"
-
Both parties also have very sharp ideological divides on what "works" and what the government should even do in the first place.

I assume that Mayor 9/11 at least believes that cybersecurity is a good thing, so that's still a step above his choice for vaccines.

I'm pretty sure one of your "stop calling it Obamacare!" rants was the inspiration for the thread title

Rep. Chaffetz threatening to subpoena the ethics watchdog for daring to criticize Dear Leader. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/01/jaso...og-trump-233575 If you remember, chaffetz was the one who routinely leaked information about EMAILS and has even said recently that he still wants to investigate EMAILS. But calling out Trump for his blatant conflicts of interest is unacceptable.

QUOTE (Deadpool @ Jan 12, 2017 -> 04:05 PM) It's a promotion for him. He has Abbatacola's old job. Tannehill is the sound guy, but I believe he is technically a "producer" Can't go on twitter in your car, i guess. I meant for abbattacola. Being the update guy sounds like a demotion. Wonder why.

I have no idea how radio works. Is that a promotion or demotion from his previous role?

The only kickstarter I've taken part in was for a video game that had reputable developers and got picked up by a major publisher, was delivered on-time and to positive reception. Mostly it seems to be vaporware, though.

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Jan 12, 2017 -> 02:58 PM) The sad/good thing is how easy it's been. I keep wondering why I couldn't just moderate myself. Oh well! congrats man. my dad had something similar about 30 years ago, realized it was a problem and hasn't even wanted to touch a drop since then. knowing his and the rest of his family's history, it's something I've always made sure to keep an eye on for myself. good luck on keeping it up and being the best you can be for yourself and your family.

QUOTE (BigSqwert @ Jan 12, 2017 -> 01:22 PM) (Didn't click the link as I'm scared I'll get a warning here at work) Why would people rent porn? Seems absurd. Is this for old people who are not tech savvy? Porn is free everywhere online and you can be 100% anonymous about your consumption. It's a Time magazine article, but words might still trigger work filters.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 12, 2017 -> 01:03 PM) How are all those "family Video" stores still open, especially in the NW burbs? Porn? It's a weird market they cater to still, I guess, but I've read before that the attached pizza places (I think they all pretty much have one?) are a big part of it. They still make 'movie night' an event in and of itself that the whole family gets involved in. And while it's less convenient than streaming, new rentals can be had for cheaper than you'd pay on Amazon plus they have free kids movies. Some of it's gotta just be last-man-standing. All of their brick-and-mortar competitors are pretty much gone, both chain and small mom & pop stores. But also porn.

QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Jan 12, 2017 -> 09:01 AM) Chargers officially move to LA. I can't imagine that ends well unless they win a lot of games right away. LA barely wants one team, let alone two. LA is cornering the market on bad football teams

Hill Republicans more concerned about who gave the info to the media than exactly how owned by the Russian mafia and government the next president is. http://www.politico.com/story/2017/01/dona...congress-233504

Trump will be in violation of the Constitution day 1, pretty much.

Rubio really laying into Tillerson in his closing questions right now for refusing to acknowledge human rights violators or war criminals and repeatedly pleading ignorance on major world topics instead of answering any questions. That's refreshing.
-
man, child care costs are outrageous.
-
Yeah, even though that seems like clearly the best path, I really don't envy the position you're in. It'll suck to let her go because you're not heartless, but you gotta do what's best for your own child.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jan 11, 2017 -> 11:53 AM) @dominicholden 17m17 minutes ago CNN’s Jim @Acosta said on the air that Trump’s team threatened to yank him from press conference if he tried to speak up again. One day Trump will just take questions from Breitbart. His own personal propaganda website.

Alabama Guv Interviews Roy Moore As Potential Replacement For Sen. Sessions Roy Moore has been removed from his position on the Alabama Supreme Court twice. Once for refusing to remove a gigantic Ten Commandments monument from the court per court orders, and more recently for refusing to enforce Obergefell.
