QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 08:49 PM) Donald Trump just endorsed racial profiling. Stop and Frisk was an unmitigated disaster. Also unconstitutional!

QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 08:45 PM) OTOH polling today. I have lost faith. I'm bed wetting like a b****. Oh today when she's still ahead? DAMN IT STEVE PULL YOURSELF TOGETHER!
-
QUOTE (Steve9347 @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 08:42 PM) People don't care. OTOH polling throughout August when Trump shot himself in the foot many times a day.

The strategy of "zero debate prep" doesn't seem to be paying off thus far.
-
He paid zero taxes That makes me smart! god damn
-
Will you release your taxes? TRADE DEALS! Uh, so about the taxes? THEY'RE TARGETING ME NOBODY ELSE GETS AUDITED!

QUOTE (whitesoxfan99 @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 07:27 PM) Trump has yet to make a coherent point but because the majority of his voters are dumbasses I'm sure they will latch on to this. Clinton isn't trying to convince Trump voters, her mission is to convince the slim number of "undecided" voters along with energizing her base and, if at all possible, de-energizing some of Trump's voters.

Feeling a full-blown Trump meltdown coming tonight, he already can't help interjecting and he looks pissed "I did not [say global warming is a Chinese hoax]!"
-
That's called business, by the way!

QUOTE (iamshack @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 11:58 AM) Btw, why the hell did we put down 24-10 from the Cowboys' side of the field with 9 minutes left last night? Because John Fox is a very conservative in-game coach.

A few states are entirely vote-by-mail and I think Colorado is shifting that way as well, and they don't seem to have any more fraud than any other state (which, nationally, is a negligible amount). You'd have to weigh the ratio of potential for increased fraud against the potential for increased legitimate voting/decreased disenfranchisement, and from what we've seen over the decades that ratio is very strongly in favor of liberalizing voting access.

QUOTE (juddling @ Sep 26, 2016 -> 11:54 AM) Hmmm....so why do I keep hearing that this kind of stuff never happens so having an ID to vote is stupid.... The dead rise (to vote) in colorado.....

All sorts of lab tech type jobs, working at refineries or gas plants, power plants etc.

Good news! Clinton tied in Iowa in a poll this morning! And ahead by a point in NC! seriously what is going on with the polling, none of it makes sense.
-
something really weird about that CNN/ORC poll of Colorado. Trump winning white voters in the state by only 4 points should mean an absolute Clinton bloodbath there. Clinton pulled money and resources out of that state weeks ago. I have to think their internal polling is still showing a strong firewall there or they'd be shifting their attention back (and away from states that seem like ridiculous longshots like Georgia). edit: I'm still hanging my hat on the massive disparity in GOTV between the campaigns showing up bigly on election day, and it'll be good for at least as much as Obama was able to out-perform the polls in 2012.

QUOTE (greg775 @ Sep 24, 2016 -> 02:59 PM) No way. There will not be one news organization declaring Donald the winner. Maybe Hannity. Did you read the NY Times embarrassing endorsement today? They are all coming. This news organization should be ashamed of itself making her look so Presidential. Cmon. We have two horrendous choices and the NY Times saying Hillary deserves this job is sad. Don't pretend we have a good candidate this year. Trump is a Chump, no doubt. No question. Of course he is. But Hillary is a proven fibber (I won't call her a liar) and one who stretches the truth; also a very very horrible speaker/leader and as elitist as Mr. Trump. And yet the NY Times endorses her in a glowing piece? Sad. http://www.nytimes.com/2016/09/25/opinion/...ident.html?_r=0 lol that you still like Trump over her if this is a motivating factor

How Trump is lowering the debate expectations https://www.google.com/amp/www.vanityfair.c...android-verizon Short of physically assaulting her, he'll probably be declared the winner. Similar to the first debate last time where Obama was caught off guard by Romney just lying constantly ands inventing new policy positions on the fly.

I have no idea what Cruz's play here is with bending the knee.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Sep 23, 2016 -> 06:33 AM) Part of that is fear. Tulsa, OK has to be one of the worst possible places in the country for black people to live. Look at that town's history, and look at the current politics there and in Oklahoma generally. Literal aerial bombing of "Black Wall Street" in the 20's in Tulsa. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tulsa_race_riot

the protester who was shot last night has died

By QBR Cutler was 17 last year and by Rate he was 16.

I just want to chime in to say that the "Cutler is soft/is a p****" stuff has annoyed me for years, and I found Dick's joke to be funny.

QUOTE (bmags @ Sep 22, 2016 -> 03:07 PM) Ha, I don't want to rain on the "he was a decent man" parade, and I too would feel better if W was a nominee right now and not Trump, but come on. It is true that a lot of the problems in his presidency could be attributed to incompetence and not maliciousness, but there was plenty of malicious. Whether or not the orders came from the man or not, it is a warning of what happens when you put someone in office not that interested in the work of gov't. Oh I don't want my post to imply anything other than Trump himself is new levels of awfulness. Bush himself was still a horrible President whose policies harmed millions.
