  1. Greg Sargent's take: @conncarroll @matthewjdowd CNN found virtual tie among all voters. CBS found sizable Biden win among undecideds: cbsnews.com/8301-250_162-5… 12 Oct 12 ReplyRetweetFavorite Greg Sargent@ThePlumLineGS Difference between lefty response to 1st debate and righty response to last night is remarkable and instructive #HackGap 12 Oct 12 ReplyRetweetFavorite Greg Sargent@ThePlumLineGS RT @matthewjdowd Republicans hated Biden. Democrats loved him. Undecided voters sided with Biden by large margin. Good night for Obama.
  2. QUOTE (Y2HH @ Oct 12, 2012 -> 08:39 AM) Why does anyone care what Hannity says? this is a mystery for the ages, yet he gets paid millions of dollars to say things

  4. QUOTE (mr_genius @ Oct 12, 2012 -> 08:29 AM) Biden came off as rude and rage prone. Most people do not respect those qualities in a leader. Romney was assertive. No yelling, no red faced rants, no banging his fist on the table. Big difference. The news media - FOX, was desperately trying to give Biden a win in the debate narrative. The second-best part was the sweet, sweet tears of sadness from the Fox commentators afterwards. Hannity still couldn't let it go that Obama attended the moderator's wedding 21 years ago.
  5. The best part was, by far, the moderator. Aside from two very weak questions to end it and questionable framing on another two, she asked good, specific questions of both of them and actually had control of the topics. Really highlights how terrible Lehrer was last week.
  6. Biden had the better of it and called Ryan on his "malarky" and "stuff" the whole night, though he wasn't perfect by any means. Even the moderator pressed Ryan for refusing to give any specifics whatsoever on their tax plan, like Chris Wallace did a week or so ago. Andrew Sullivan usually does good reaction summaries for stuff like this: http://andrewsullivan.thedailybeast.com/20...-blog-reax.html
  7. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 12, 2012 -> 06:44 AM) Yes, because being against killing innocent human beings is purely a religious thing. Atheists and agnostics are all about killing any random people they want. question-begging
  8. QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Oct 12, 2012 -> 06:40 AM) Isn't that true about pretty much every debate? Probably, they're mostly dumb superficial shows.
  9. I couldn't believe that they decided to go with a "help a family that had a tragic car accident" story in a debate with Joe Biden
  10. The real-time fact checking of Ryan's bulls*** was entertaining. The media narrative will be a draw because only republicans are bold and assertive, democrats are rude and mean.
  11. Romney’s Debate Win Was about Personality More than Policy
  12. QUOTE (MexSoxFan#1 @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 04:08 PM) Arkansas Legislative Republican candidate says in his book parents should be able to kill their rebellious children...you can't make this s*** up. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/10/08/c..._n_1948490.html Again, today's Republican party FTW this one is better: http://wonkette.com/486378/gentleman-in-vi...-out-their-kids

  14. QUOTE (flippedoutpunk @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 03:04 PM) Thanks for the suggestion. Also, I like routers that you can 192.168.1.1 into and do a remote reset. The last router i had wouldnt let me do that and i would have to get off of my beanbag chair and unplug the router and plug it back in to reset, it was quite annoying and calorie burning. I *think* you can do that. You do log onto the router through 192.168.1.1 for setup. The options are somewhat limited since it's meant to be a plug-and-play router. Honestly, I haven't messed with it since initially setting it up. I just use the WPS to add new devices.
  15. I've liked my Cisco Valet Plus. I bought it a little over a year ago after lightning fried my dlink gamefuel router.

  17. I'll probably end up watching. No cable/satellite means no NFL network.
  18. QUOTE (Soxbadger @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 02:17 PM) This is blowing up haha. I think the best part are his alleged quotes from July: http://www.chicagotribune.com/business/bre...0,4209465.story So under Obama his company has been the most profitable, yet Obama is hurting him. You dont have to be smart to be rich, but it never hurts to be a shyster. If he has to give up even one more dime of those profits that he's taking back out of the company for himself, why, it's not even worth it. edit: that he cribbed much of this letter from a 2008 chain mail makes that all the more ridiculous. The very same allegations he's making now were made in 2008, yet now he's the most profitable ever (at ripping off middle-class families with timeshare rentals).
  19. Here's some more from David Siegel: It should be noted that he made his fortune in the giant scam world of timeshares: What would the world ever do without brave entrepreneurs selling incredibly overpriced vacation rentals with long-term, high-interest loans to middle-class families?
  20. QUOTE (southsider2k5 @ Oct 11, 2012 -> 02:08 PM) :.melts down some more:
