  1. QUOTE (greg775 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 10:06 PM) Castro is not so good. Castro has been excellent lately....can't blame him for this mess.
  2. With the way the Bulls are operating, I am convinced they have some sort of viable plan to get Wade, Bosh, and LeBron all into the fold. From Wade's comments, I don't think they would be pressing these guys this hard unless they were serious about getting something done now, but at the same time, I don't think they would sign these two up and take them out of the LeBron sweepstakes before even talking to him. There has got to be a viable way.
  3. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 09:58 PM) http://www.chicagobreakingsports.com/2010/..._medium=twitter I find it very interesting that he has not tweeted lately....sounds like they may really be getting down to the nitty gritty here...
  4. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 10:50 PM) Then again, with KW moving to a different position after this season (all signs point to Hahn taking over), KW doesn't have as much responsibility to keep the future intact. From what I know, this isn't as close to happening as many here seem to think...
  5. QUOTE (whitesoxfan101 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 09:47 PM) LeBron is the only person of the big three that has seemed to really respect how important of a decision this is. If nothing else, I credit him for that. I think Wade has as well. Bosh is the one coming off as an idiot.
  6. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 10:46 PM) Hawk trying to become Pierre's agent tonight? You'd think Pierre hit 3 of the hardest balls in baseball history. Did he get on again?
  7. QUOTE (kev211 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 09:38 PM) The way Lebron James has handled this is amazing he isn't talking to the media he isn't tweeting he isn't doing anything or making it the media circus everyone though he was going to make it. He has been far, far more mature since the day he entered the League than I would have thought. Guy is truly mature beyond his years.
  8. I really want to trade for Kelly Johnson, send Gordo down, put Johnson as our leadoff hitter and make Pierre our 9th hitter.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 10:31 PM) behind on the tracker? Yes, of course.
  10. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 09:06 PM) shack, this is a nice change of pace from the NBA stuff (especially with no agreements to analyze). Garcia survives another inning! I know, but I am at work so I can't even watch the game...I'm watching the Angels-KC game, trying to follow the Sox on the interwebs, following the NBA stuff, and trying to do my job at the same time. Information overload!
  11. QUOTE (IamtheHBOMB @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 10:04 PM) # I don't film my meetings. I am a professional. Having control of your own media is a distraction, but when other networks do it, it's not? about 10 hours ago via mobile web This is from Bosh's twitter. Anybody know what he is referring to? Bosh is making a documentary of his FA process.
  12. I am going to have a heart attack from all this NBA stuff... Come on boys, we need this one tonight...
  13. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 09:46 PM) Wade and Bosh share the same agent....if they don't offer bosh a contract and go into cleveland and can't scoop up lebron that may cause some animosity between the bulls and bosh....he can then tell dwade he wants to go to miami with him and boom we are stuck with nothing....i think they almost have to offer one to him tonight to play it safe if they can't land lebron tomorrow then u just go back to wade with bosh already committed I don't see why they just can't have a deal worked out with all three contingent upon what LeBron says tomorrow.
  14. That may be the case, but I don't understand their M.O. otherwise. They push Wade for a commitment tonight, while they already have a meeting scheduled with Bosh. Clearly the reason they want an answer tonight is because they want to bring something to LeBron tomorrow. So Wade says he can't commit yet, but they still are going to try and get Bosh to commit tonight, so they can bring this to LeBron tomorrow. I hope they aren't basing their decision on simply which player agrees tonight.
  15. QUOTE (beckham15 @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 08:38 PM) KBerg_CBS: High-powered agent: LeBron-Wade pairing unlikely. "It's a bunch of egomaniacs starved for attention." #NBA http://bit.ly/aECxMq WTF does that mean? Does he mean the players or the team's FO's? Or the reporters?
  16. Well, apparently the guy that is running our cap numbers is some incredible genius (Irwin something or other). My guess is if they are trying to get all 3 players, he has found a way for it to work.
  17. QUOTE (Real @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 08:00 PM) OR: To force Cleveland's hand by making them sweat the possibility of him leaving, and he never truly was going to leave town. This possibly puts more pressure on Cleveland to try and make some moves to bring in some talent to surround him with, and perhaps show him that next year they can put even more talent on the team to contend. He really really wants to win in Cleveland, but I don't think he'll leave town unless another team absolutely blows him away with an offer, whether it's the Bulls, Nets, Heat.. whoever. But he has to understand that those teams have to operate under the salary cap. And his deal alone eats up a lot of that cap. The Bulls and Heat are willing to trash almost their entire rosters to bring in him and another big time FA, and possibly even two other big time FA's. I don't understand what else he could possibly expect...
  18. QUOTE (Mr. Showtime @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 07:45 PM) Wojo updated his story on Wade, says he isn't ready to say yes to the Bulls yet. http://sports.yahoo.com/nba/news;_ylt=AiTe...bronbulls072010 Chicago Bulls executives pressed Dwyane Wade for a commitment on Friday afternoon, but the star free-agent guard wasn’t ready to make such a leap to leave the ami Heat, a source told Yahoo! Sports. The Bulls were pushing for a commitment to arm them in a meeting set for Saturday with LeBron James in Cleveland. Officials will now try to work over James on constructing an All-Star free-agent alliance in Chicago. The Bulls and Wade met for a second time on Friday and talked deeper about what it would take to sway Wade back to his hometown. Chris Bosh(notes) joined Wade and the Bulls for part of the meeting in the office of agent Henry Thomas, who represents both players. There are scenarios where the Bulls could try to work an arrangement for all three players to join them – presumably engineering a sign-and-trade with Toronto for Bosh – but the most likely partnership would come with Wade and James or Wade and Bosh. Wow, so they are looking at possibly trying to get all 3...the Bulls are going balls-out....gotta love it...Is Kenny participating in this plan somehow?
  19. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 08:31 PM) I agree No way...Rose will never be the scorer Wade is...I like Rose, but Dwayne Wade he is not. And obviously I know they are different players...they obviously play different guard positions...but in the final 5 minutes of a game, I'll take Wade all day over Rose.
  20. QUOTE (fathom @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 05:34 PM) Did Wade meet with the Bulls already tonight, or is it still to come? I think it is going on now, actually.
  21. This article by far seems to have the most information of anything I have read... Wojo's Yahoo Article
  22. They're definitely going to get someone. At worst, they'll get Boozer and Lee or something...that's still better than the team they ripped apart was...
  23. QUOTE (Jordan4life @ Jul 2, 2010 -> 06:12 PM) Chad Ford is now reporting Wade is close to signing with Chicago. Trying to find the article. I don't know if I would characterize it as "close to signing."
  24. So some sources are saying Wade reacted enthusiastically to our request; others that he is doing it as a courtesy; and yet another saying Wade requested the meeting himself. This s*** is mind-numbing.
