Really? I'm kind of the opposite. I feel like it's hitting the same note over and over again: Phil wants to get laid. Phil does something stupid in an attempt to get laid. Phil screws up and gets caught. Phil doesn't get laid and everyone hates him. Someone new arrives. It's still enjoyable, it has funny moments. But I dunno how many times it can go back to that well.

QUOTE (NorthSideSox72 @ Apr 23, 2015 -> 12:53 PM) You're excited for the new Jurassic Park movie? My lord that thing looks horrible. All subjective of course, but I can't see paying for that film. Oh i'm expecting it to be terrible. As I posted when the trailer first came out, it's the same movie as the original - create dinosaur, dinosaur gets loose, chaos ensues. But updated visuals will be cool. I like Pratt. Plus, it has dinosaurs.

Also, go Spurs go. They're my favorite non-Bulls team. I don't get these people who say they're not entertaining. The players and the ball are constantly moving around the floor. Who cares if they don't dunk a lot?

Love is stuck with two ball hogs. Pretty tough to fit in offensively there. He still managed to average 16, 10 and 2. As a third wheel, that's pretty good. He has defensive issues, but pair him with Noah and they become less notable. As for whether to trade him and Jimmy now? I'd probably keep Jimmy since 2 guards are harder to find and he's a good defender. But i'm not ignoring that trade straight away. I'd think about it.

QUOTE (farmteam @ Apr 23, 2015 -> 07:57 AM) Totally agreed. My guess is the networks will continue doing the Fall-Spring 22 episode staples, in part because they (likely) have an older audience who prefer and are used to that. There's utility to having both the marathon viewing binges and a weekly staple. I look forward to my Sunday nights with Silicon Valley and Last Week Tonight. Though obviously for the latter you can't have it all debut on Netflix at once. Silicon Valley has been very funny so far. The second episode felt less forced than the season premiere. From the network's perspective there's also ad dollars to consider. Netflix and HBO are subscriber based revenue generators. They can do whatever they want, knowing that subscribers can watch whenever they have time. Networks don't have the same luxury, even as DVR service and ondemand is becoming more common place. I think that's why you're seeing networks like CBS offering a standalone streaming service.

QUOTE (Jake @ Apr 22, 2015 -> 03:09 PM) I remember when Love was a top 5 player in the league, AKA when we were supposed to trade everything in the world for him or else the FO was incompetent Top 5 was always ludicrous, but he's a great player and I'd still do that trade if it were Jimmy, Taj and some picks. No question. He'd be a better fit here. He'd be great alongside Noah. And he'd provide spacing that Rose needs.

QUOTE (Chisoxfn @ Apr 21, 2015 -> 03:46 PM) Friedell says he will be very surprised if Niko plays in game 3 or 4. I bet that's the hope, that they can close it out in 4 games without him which would give him 1.5 weeks before game one against the Cavs.

No, but if those costs are included in general health care spending, and you're comparing those figures to basic death figures, it's not really an apples to apples comparison.

Do those statistics include end-of-life care? As a nation we spend an obscene amount of money on the that. I'm guessing most other countries don't do that and don't do that to the same degree.

Student loan debt renders that whole definition useless. If you're making 80k with 100k in student loan payments, you're not living an 80k lifestyle

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 02:33 PM) No, it's not the entire middle class, but aside from young single people, there are a lot of middle aged self-employed people who got screwed over in this. Also, no need to increase taxes on anybody (though I am in favor of some combination of a higher taxrate/closing loopholes for the top 1%). Every Senator in favor of Obamacare could have easily found enough unnecessary Executive Branch agency jobs in their home states that could have been cut in order to pay for this, but no, we have to screw over some middle class folks rather than cut the bloated government. 'Merica.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 02:30 PM) So low-income men might be able to afford individual coverage, but low-income women will be screwed. No thanks. I suspect the numbers would equal out. The risks of men getting hurt are greater, just like with auto insurance. Pregnancy would be a big cost, but hey, a woman's body, a woman's decision. Just flush that thing out and no problem.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 02:20 PM) And what's with plans women buy covering ball cancer?? Though I'd imagine that a lot of heterosexual married men with family insurance plans utilize birth control and other exclusively-women's-health provisions, anyway. Equaled out by uterine cancer! But hey, when you're talking individual plans, not family plans, i'm 100% in agreement with setting up limits on what needs to be covered and what doesn't. If issues like birth control, pregnancy and specific gender diseases increase the costs, people shouldn't have to pay for it.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 02:19 PM) I'm not sure how you can say one way or the other a completely unspecified tax increase wouldn't cover something. I'm confident in the rich's ability to "evade" any laws you want to implement. I'm also confident that laws they couldn't evade would never, ever be passed in 2015, when Dems and Repubs protect the wealthy equally.

QUOTE (HickoryHuskers @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 02:04 PM) Yes, I'm referring to people who had catastrophic plans, which are hardly useless to people who were getting by just fine with them. And yes, the bill they're getting stuck with is getting them increased coverage in return, but for most of them it's coverage they don't want or need. These people are being forced to pay for coverage they don't want or need in order to increase the risk pool for insurance companies. You mean you don't use birth control?

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 02:07 PM) You get by just fine with no insurance at all right until the moment you don't. Then you're largely f***ed and you're probably going to harm the rest of society as well. The people hit the hardest by the individual mandate coupled with the minimum coverage requirements are mostly younger single people who might have had little or no insurance before. Yeah, these people are going to pay more than they otherwise would have before. They hardly constitute the entire "middle class." edit: actually, people under 30 and with a hardship exemption can still get qualifying catastrophic plans. I'd have no problems with a completely revamped alternative that provided Medicare-to-all through a mixture of removing the payroll tax cap and increasing tax rates on the top brackets, though! I'm in favor of taxing the rich more, but that won't cover the costs.

QUOTE (StrangeSox @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 02:01 PM) I know that I've yet to see HH cite a single piece of evidence in support of his claims. How is the government coming up with money to pay for an extra 30 million people when those people are paying pennies on the dollar for their plans? The money tree behind the capital building?

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Apr 16, 2015 -> 12:11 PM) You lay all of these things on the training staff. lmao. Taj sat out for what, 3 months? Noah waited by his own choice to get the surgery, because he wanted to play in the FIBA games. McDermotts back? Didnt he have a knee scoped. But thats alright, apparently each player who has any sort of injury should sit indefinitely until the injury is 100 percent. Got it. I don't think you can blame the medical staff for Taj stepping on someone's foot and rolling an ankle or Jimmy taking a nasty hit to the shoulder. HOWEVA, better training methods, work out routines, nutrition plans, etc. would make these players less prone to nagging injuries and/or they'd heal up faster. If you don't believe that, then there's really no need for the Bulls to have a medical/training staff.
