For you "real" Blackhawk fans, at what point does Coach Q start to get heat for their atrocious power play numbers? 1 shot in 5 power plays. It's been like that for most of the season but it's been especially bad in the playoffs. I'd prefer they commit a penalty and go 4-4 instead of trying 5-4.

QUOTE (Jake @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 11:19 AM) I think he finds a guy posting up to be fairly easy to scheme against, defensively. He can do it here and there, but after one game of it against Indy they totally squashed it. But that's fine, you don't have to go to that every trip down the floor, but at some point he needs to get over his fascination with shooting long 2 or 3 pt shots and take what the defense is giving you. The Spurs are normally playing 3-4 feet away (or more), daring him to take the jumpshot. Take two dribbles and start backing the defender down and see what happens. He's either going to get a better post shot or he's going to collapse the defense and get the ball to an open shooter.

He has to sit out a year right? Wonder how this makes Bailey feel. I bet he was given the same pitch about turning the program around.

QUOTE (Balta1701 @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 09:40 AM) Anyone ever guess why he doesn't push this part of the game more? Is he worried about teams like the Pacers, Bulls, and Spurs, who do have big men, trying to beat him up down low? He wants to be a point guard, not a forward. I think that's mostly what it comes down to.

QUOTE (Boogua @ Jun 17, 2013 -> 07:58 AM) His numbers actually look better than he has played too. He has padded his stats in garbage time a few games. He was in really late in their blowout win 2 games ago (at one point Wade had 32 and Lebron had 24 or something. He finished with 33 with a bunch of late easy buckets). He also had a stretch in their blowout loss when he scored 9 quick points when they were down 20 in game 3. He has no go-to moves and an inconsistent jumpshot. He was 1-8 when being guarded by Boris Diaw yesterday. Boris. Diaw. He does, he just refuses to use it. His post game is nearly unstoppable against most defenders.

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 04:26 PM) I think he was talking more about competition between buyers, not so much the companies. Competition between the two is good, that is why people hoping Xbox goes under is kinda weird. What do you think Sony would do if they had no one to compete against? I don't want them to go under, but I want them to drop their dumb policies. Like I said before, EA wised up because of the back lash and got rid of their online pass deal. That's a good thing. But I don't want EA to go under because, although they're an awful company, they occasionally put out a good game.

He sorta misses the point of the Sony chant. There are fan boys on both sides (taylorstsox says hi), but people were happy about not having a bulls*** restriction with their console. And I prefer the war. Competition is good for innovation. If these two companies played nice and had no reason to be any different than the gaming industry wouldn't keep advancing.

Didn't EA give up the whole "Online Pass" thing for its games? Edit: Let me google that for myself: http://www.pcmag.com/article2/0,2817,2419805,00.asp Yep, they did.

QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 02:09 AM) http://www.telegraph.co.uk/culture/film/fi...y-meltdown.html Spielberg/Lucas predict film industry headed for a meltdown, as well as $20-something comic book/CGI/3D movie ticket prices and $7 Lincoln/Hurt Locker/Zero Dark Thirty charges. Segmenting/partitioning the market. http://movies.yahoo.com/news/paramount-off...-055759217.html I would welcome that and really that's the way my wife and I watch movies now. When we go to the theater it's rare and generally it's for IMAX movies only ($20 a ticket or whatever it is these days) to see the big action movies. Occasionally we'll go to the local theater which has movies that have been out for a few weeks and it's only $5.50 a person. Otherwise we rent.- Syria

QUOTE (GoSox05 @ Jun 14, 2013 -> 08:53 AM) The Last of Us looks good, but I can't play another post apocalyptic virus/zombie game. Yeah I'm also getting tired of that genre. The gaming industry beat WWII to death, and now they've beaten zombies/end of the world storylines to death. I'm pumped to play when I get home though. Not really. The most severe weather spot was supposedly the northern half of western Illinois extending east. And that area really didn't have the worst of the bad weather. I'd say they were a few hundred miles off.- 2013 TV Thread

QUOTE (KyYlE23 @ Jun 12, 2013 -> 08:56 PM) Sort of. They told Nintendo "if you sell more systems you will get more exclusives" So the onus is on Nintendo now I still can't believe that Nintendo doesn't have a Mario game and a Zelda game lined up for every launch. You know you're going to release a system, how can you not be prepared for that? I, along with hundreds of thousands of others, would have been lining up for the Wii U. Instead, the launch came out with a bunch of crap and only the promise of those games at some point in the future. Wind Waker is one of my favorite Zelda's, but i'm not dropping the price of the console and the game to play it when I can pop it into my Wii and play it right now.- Catch-All Anything Thread
Yep, I never had an issue with DirecTV last night. I was also one of the few at Home Depot that walked away with a generator. They had pallets at the front of the store that had been stacked but were empty. Lots of people left empty handed. Now i'll have this gigantic box in my garage for the next 3 years and it'll never be used. - 2013 Films Thread
