  1. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 06:17 PM) Game threads are not for the rational baseball fan... qft
  2. QUOTE(OfficerPat35 @ Apr 20, 2007 -> 06:02 PM) And is anyone else getting pissed when these moron fans cheer like wildfire on a popout to center? I swear, they do it again, Ill go to Detroit and pull a Cho. Idiots. If you thought you were being cute and clever.. You should think again.
  3. The Sox appear to be in trouble in this game. I will acknowledge that it seems like an appropriate way to end the season.
  4. QUOTE(elrockinMT @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 02:42 PM) Intentional walk to Mac and the bases are drunk with Sox And playoff visions are in the air!
  5. QUOTE(Dick Allen @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 02:25 PM) I think the Sox play Oakland 9 times next year, and the Yankees 10 times. Put that together with the 19 against Minnesota and 19 against Detroit, think how easy the schedule will be next year. All those teams will be so exhausted from the playoffs. lmao
  6. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 12:40 PM) I agree. He looks terrible and I found it amusing how many here were on Ozzie for his comments on Anderson. The guy's been a HUGE disappointment. Those stats on Crede are also alarming. Because of those back problems, we can add him to the list of players who might take a step back next season (a list which includes Dye, Thome, and Konerko). Basically, we need offensive upgrades. Along with defensive, starting pitching, bullpen, and coaching upgrades. Outside of that though, we're sound.
  7. QUOTE(RockRaines @ Sep 23, 2006 -> 12:05 PM) Whats really pathetic is that if we won the last two nights we would be 3.5 back and with a win today maybe 2.5 back We haven't had the horses to make it respectable, let alone close, let doubly alone win.
  8. I'd say there's a real chance of the Sox finishing less than 10 games over .500. Amazing.
  9. QUOTE(Tecmo Bo @ Sep 22, 2006 -> 09:09 PM) That was a tough one to watch indeed. The losses are getting more painful as they come. But at least Minnesota lost, still have to be positive.
  10. QUOTE(The Ginger Kid @ Sep 19, 2006 -> 05:39 PM) these guys so do not give a ratsas right now Their lack of giving a rat'sass right now is so extreme you can even see it on Gameday. In fact, the degree of their lack of giving a rats'ass is only matched by that of this board.
  11. QUOTE(Frankensteiner @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 08:35 PM) Twins and Santana losing to the Indians and Carmona is like finding a $100 bill walking down the street. Sox losing with Garland on the mound on the same night is like giving that $100 bill to a hobo so he can buy some liquor. I've never seen a walking $100 bill.
  12. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 15, 2006 -> 07:34 PM) Everything about everything to do with Oakland, especially sports teams, sucks. fyp
  13. QUOTE(AbeFroman @ Sep 14, 2006 -> 07:29 AM) I don't read Mariotti... I don't care what he has to say. ^^^^^^^^^^^ What he said.
  14. QUOTE(letsgoarow @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 02:21 PM) what was he thinking?............did he bet on the under? For those of us following on gameday, what happened?
  15. QUOTE(sweatpants @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 01:55 PM) Than the reasons stated by other posters before I hit the refresh button seem suitable enough. Agreed.
  16. Woah. What just happened right there? I thought the Sox scored in the top of this inning!
  17. QUOTE(sweatpants @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 01:49 PM) Because they're probably in the same division. The posts that I have seen have been more about respect for them and their GM more than anything. I don't think it's only that. The other night many were saying that, if the Sox don't make the playoffs they'd like to see ANYONE, even the Tigers (same division, obviously) rather than the Twins go all the way.
  18. QUOTE(illinilaw08 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 01:48 PM) Because the Twins have been the bane of the Sox existence for close to the past decade. They beat the Sox almost every year late in the season... that's why we hate them. Sort of like asking a Bears fan why we hate Brett Favre Ah. Fair enough.
  19. QUOTE(Tony82087 @ Sep 13, 2006 -> 01:42 PM) The Twins really are like the Patriots. Some of the key pieces they have really are not that good. However, with the "system" in place, they play like all stars. It really is incredible. I agree with this. So, as someone relatively new to the board and who lives in Cali and thus can't follow Chicago news very easily, why does the majority of this board hate the Twins so much? I'm no Pats fan but I like their organization and respect what they've accomplished. Why wouldn't the same hold for the Twins? BTW, though I'm new to the board my childhood hero was Nellie Fox and the first thing I learned to say was Louis Aparicio so I'm not new to the Sox.
  20. QUOTE(Milkman delivers @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 01:41 PM) 5 RELIEVERS IN 1 INNING! YAYYYYYYYYYYYYAYAYAYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And they all suck. What a display of mediocrity. Don't flatter them
  21. QUOTE(fathom @ Sep 10, 2006 -> 12:23 PM) Ugh...you can't walk the #9 hitter with Sizemore coming up next after you have an 0-2 count. You can't?
  22. QUOTE(South Side Fireworks Man @ Sep 8, 2006 -> 08:42 PM) Can't they tell in the bullpen when a pitcher is warming up that he just doesn't have it???? ^^^^^^ What he said.
