  1. If you could see me on the train in the morning, you could tell what type of weekend the Sox have had. If I'm reading the paper, it was a good one. If I'm reading a paperback, it was a bad one.
  2. Nevermind. I read the B'ham News update. Cotts goes tonight.
  3. Was he pitching when the B'ham game was rained out (I presume that's why it was stopped in the fifth)? If so, how'd he do?
  4. I'll take the streaking Frank Thomas.
  5. I saw he only went 4 innings despite pitching pretty well in B'ham. Anyone know if (gulp) an injury was involved?
  6. Yeah, I don't know what there is to like about a guy who's going to hit .280+ and draw 80-100 walks for the Sox for the next five years. And who plays middle infield, nonetheless. Wouldn't like someone like that on my team.
  7. Soxtalk regulars are going to think we're weird.
  8. No, John. Boog's an annuity salesman. I'm the insurance lawyer.
  9. Unfortunately, with the trolls and assorted non-Sox fans missing, I imagine the "your wife is a slut" humor that made the ESPN board so enjoyable will be left behind, too.
  10. Thanks! As for the extra walkaround money, unfortunately I have a wife with, er, expensive tastes. It dwindles rapidly.
  11. I'm so rich I don't worry about it. I just put my paychecks in my sock drawer and cash them when my account balance drops below $10,000. (And for those that are thinking I might be the most arrogant prick ever to step foot on here, that's an inside joke for the ESPN board guys--I'm not QUITE that well off)
  12. Bad day in the minors all around. Rauch and Honel were hammered, and Borchard seems like he's 0-fer-May. The only bright spot was the three hit day for Webster. It would be funny if the White Sox have the best CFer prospect in baseball, only he's in MD and not NC...
