  1. That juggernaut system isn't so much complicated as it is unfair. A CG SO, 10 hit game (17pt) game is impossible to beat.......2GS???? A pitcher having a CG SO, 10 hit game quite likely owes much to his defense, not necessarily his pitching prowess, and probably threw wayyyy too many pitches. If someone hit a 2 run bomb that was the difference (say, the oppositions pitcher was throwing a 3 hitter against the Sox), I'd have to say that jack was pretty damn important. 17 points to the pitcher in such a game seems
  2. Great idea adding pitchers, depending on how it's implemented.
  3. when it rains, it pours in Chicago...North or South side (just usually more on the north)
  4. I haven't been to a park I didn't like. Regardless of the team, if it has hosted Major League teams, it's had GREAT ball played there. Even in Wrigley, if only by the opposition LOL....................although Busch w/turf was close....soooo hot. But it is truly classic w/the arches, some great teams, and of course, the Bowling HOF across the street To name a few: MKE County Stadium was pretty bad, but I couldn't hate IT with Bernie Brewer sliding into the brew mug (FOCK BERNIE IN MILLER PARK...NO MUG, JUST A SLIDE....GAAAAAAAAY!) Old Comiskey...if anything was better than Fenway/Wrigley, that was it. My strongest connection to the Pale Hose was going to games there as a kid, going to the outfield bar area watching thru the screen, the little umbrella stand lady in the park selling roast/corned beef sammiches - TOP NOTCH! Astrodome...still have my comemorative ball from my first visit there: http://home.attbi.com/~wavelandave/pics/Astrosball.jpg That place was amazing.....OK, not for baseball, but itself, period. What was the highest seating, a 700 level? Was that like the 700 Club? Seemed like you were half way to heaven looking up there.

  11. When I used to go to Sox games in the 70's he was their 2nd baseman. I was always amused as a kid cuz they used to time him on the ol' scoreboard running from the batters box to 1st, 2nd, whatever. It always seemed like 2 seconds or less, made him appear super fast. Cool, simple scoreboard trick.
  12. I'm really PO'd that I can't find the whole conversation, which I had at one point. There were some other good clips from it... I really need to animate my avitar Killer avatar Idseer!!
