  1. There was no way Aaron was gong to showboat on 715... In case you didn't know, he was getting death threats from all over, and was paranoid as all hell.
  2. quote of the thread...all in a nutshell right there. Cubs fans were crappin' their pants early on.
  3. Pale Hose, AL. Pirates, NL. as a kid, the Reds and Astros.
  4. What pisses me off is those that are 50/50. I can't believe they are truly passionate Chicago fans. Have some balls, an original thought, and take a side already.
  5. PNC, new park... Fenway, old park... Sox Park for food in general, but gotta give a nod to those Dodger Dogs... Best food ever...(going back, now)...the little corned beef/roast beef stand under the outfield section in old Sox Park. Corned beef, Jewish Rye, mustard, forget about it.
  6. lmfao! time to host your enormous signature from there, then...
  7. Agreed. Just about anybody who pays for an internet connection has some amount of webspace allotted them by their ISP.....especially all the broadband users here...
  8. Good stuff...all I know is with all things considered, it's still a good deal compared to the north side. I intend to hit as many games as possible in the comfortable stadium. As far as parking goes, historically it's been a steal there, considering they actually have it and how good it is. 15 seems right on to me. Having the misfortune of being brought up with the other team, I've always felt a little guilty knowing I had parking available so cheaply, thinking of it as a sort of "guilty pleasure" thrown in that I shouldn't have, but damn glad it was.
  9. I heard that crap, too. As soon as I heard all the Maddux talk, I had to shut it down. It had all been said in the weeks before, she knew it, and was as sick of it as anyone else.
  10. That sux. I'm sure the way she talked regarding the Cubs rubbed some people the wrong way, but I tihnk most who had a problem with it were insecure with themselves and the team they root for. When it came down to discussing the sport itself she was always direct and factual. When anybody was doing well for either team, she completely gave them their props, and noone beat up the Sox harder than her (noone bashes them as well as sox fans, as it should be). Besides, her show was about sports, not just Cubs/Sox BS, and it was usually right on.
  11. The Fender Jazz is a great guitarists' bass, as the neck is thinner, strings closer; plays easy...
  12. Listen, if any "Willie Watchers" are in attendance at the Cell, I'm hittin' the ladies room.
  13. LMFAO..."Willie Watchers" are gay Cub fans who hang out by the troughs!
  14. I didn't think it was that bad...it sounded bad by description, but watching it, Pedro just reached up and Zimmer's big fat head was the easiest, closest thing to grab while getting a punched at...and he didn't twist his head and "throw him down", he merely pulled him off to the side and the old man tumbled...
  15. Primarily bass, really. I just dig checking out what guitarists use equipment wise for the myriad tones they can achieve. I have another friend who swears by Randall amps big time. He too plays a lot of clean stuff, and has a pretty wicked sound...
  16. My buddy has a Mesa/Boogie for playing mostly clean stuff...not sure what model, but it sounds awesome. I use a Rickenbacker 4K1 (not sure what year), Carvin Red Line 1000W, two single 15" JBL bottoms. I got the Carvin cuz it was cheap, but I'm highly impressed with the sound quality.
  17. But the YankMees still draw more assclowns on the road...so they must be ( :puke ) America's team.
  18. YOU focker ya just Had to mention a Saltgrass, ay? I'm suddenly fckin' ravenous...I think you hit it right on the head with that description, too. They opened a new one somewhere along 45 last time I was down there, and it seemed kinda plain. I go and order a filet, and while chowing it (no knife needed) I was thinkin', "damn, this is right on par w/Ruth's Chris, minus the presentation." Unreal. What happened to smirnoff?
  19. Tell me about it...the run-of-the-mill steak joints down there are practically gourment compared to Outbacks, etc...getting something like Chili's ribs here is hilarious after you've had them down there; there's that much of a difference with their supply. And Houston strip joints? hehe...
  20. Holy s***! I'd even buy a couple of those!... LOL! that's f'ckin' great...
