  1. My problem with this isn't the Colon/Sosa punishment comparison, but the Sox/MLB relationship. It's not like he's got a beanball history going on here. This year he's hit only 4 motherf***ers. Mark Prior has hit 6, and Kerry Wood's hit 10!! This shows not just Chicago media bias towards the Sox, but MLB bias in general, which seems patently unfair IMO.
  2. AL lineup C Miller 1B Thomas (on fire since going to 1st) 2B Jimenez (for power reasons) SS Gonzalez 3B Crede (at least that's actually his position) LF Alou (consistent) CF Patterson RF Maggs (Sosa's head still in the clouds) DH Sosa (could come out of the clouds) SP Loiaza, Wood, Prior, Colon, Zambrano CP Koch RP Marte, Wunsch, Farnsworth, Remlinger, Borowski (that's his true roll, not closing...)
  3. Crede this whole series. I'm tellin' ya: 3B, Gnats, it's gonna happen.
  4. I don't think they're any more out of it than the Cubs are in it.
  5. Crede all the way today. something about third basemen and SF... anyone see Robin smack one off the Cubs yesterday? He may not hit like he used to, but he can still belt them on occasion.
  6. LOL...whaddya expect from Ass Clowns?
  7. '77, for all the reasons already listed here 1990, the future for the sox forming, the coming of Big Frank, the staff, et al Speaking of '90, Anyone remember assface Dave Stewart always s***ting on the sox "they aren't a real team...they can't contend with us" type s***? That was was an ass toward the sox then. 'twas sweet when he was swept outta the WS that year!
  8. Thanks, SFIB. I hope things go well...
  9. naa, no fourth place...you know the story: They'll flounder till they're pretty much out of it, then during trash time in the second half, they'll play more like the team everyone expected, finishing better than the Cubs, giving rise to higher hopes for next year. I say, second place. Although, at this pace, Colon will not be around, so it could be interesting to see if someone steps up if they end up shipping Colon off somewhere.
  10. Carbondale, circa 1986, baby!
  11. D'Angelo... (he's being possessed by the spirit of Jorge O....I can feel it...)
  12. from the outside it looks like a flying saucer, still. But I'm highly encouraged by the interior! We're right on top the team!!!
  13. El focking Caballo!!!!!!! I just have this feeling. ...and sources tell me Calderon is out tonight.
  14. they didn't show replays on the plays at 3rd & 2nd.....and I'm not recording tonight. out of disk space, need another drive (or to delete some pron). They looked out, more so at 3rd.
  15. hmmm...looked like the runners were out at both 3rd and 2nd.........now they score (legitimately) at home...
  16. Note my original post. NYC at the top. I, too, resented NYC before ever living there, but now I understand how incredible the place is. It's not for everybody; not clean, stinky in places, fast paced. But if you want to have fun, and see incredible sights on a daily basis for years straight, it's the only place to be. I also found that the only way to notice all the sights and beauty is to be living there. You just don't see it as a visitor. Personally I liked downtown over midtown; worked in both. Older, more history, and the buildings are so close together (not the perfect grid like midtown) that some streets never get sunlight! Also, unless you're rich or born and raised there, it's only good for a certain time in your life. Many people opt to move to the burbs (Long Island/New Jersey/CT) for the house and family.
  17. Thats surely a nice list. Yet I wonder how, with your obsession for whores, you left out Amsterdams red light district... Well, I left off places I haven't been to. That's probably why I don't have Hawaii on the list! I don't have an obsession for whores, necessarily, I just think they're good for the community.
  18. NYC (pre 9/11, particularly in the late 80's, early 90's, brothels ) East Coast anywhere (CT, Mass, NH...); great history, hookers Chitown (there are numerous classic neighborhoods back when my p's were growing up, but from my experiences [not just for partying, but living, period {hookers not req.}] ): -In a high rise by LSD (balcony a must for grilling) (south side) Archer Ave area closer to Midway 95th St, years ago (OK, mostly Evergreen Pk and Oak Lawn, but classic SS Irish, killer food & ice cream) (north side) Wayyy north away from stinkin' Park, like West Rogers Park, Jeff Park, along the river, etc. Galewood Area about 15 years back Miami Beach; topless titties, hookers LA, Hollywood Hills area- any of those communities up on the hills with a killer view [ready to come down in an earthquake]; hookers down in Hollywood A comfortable toilet.
  19. No pitchers? I guess Britt Burns is out for today then, dammit.
