For the purists in 1900 they played 140 games. They have been adding ever since. Imagine a 140 games season and only the top team in each league advances to the World Series? Now that's a meaningful regular season.

If it's too cold to play why are they starting the season? It's just a money grab for the owners. More games equals more money. I'm for the players playing less total games and owners making less.

One game out of 162 is less meaningful than one game out of 150. It's very simple math.

Two months ago the team was making ridiculous amounts of money that should go to the players. Players were receiving less and less of the revenues. How the team can't afford a player? What did I miss?

He is a top prospect who has had to battle mental and physical issues just to get to this point. I think all Sox fans are hoping he continues to develop into an everyday player. The jump to MLB is big. We know the guy ahead of him is MLB ready. I'm hoping Jake has a chance to earn some ABs by getting in 30 to 40 games this year. Until then, I'm certain your son/client/employer appreciates your undying support. ?

I think everyone thought he was a top pitcher when healthy. He faded badly last season which is concerning. Not knowing everything on his medical a QO seemed like an easy yes decision.
