We're having a larger wedding because we have the house and most of the goodies we've wanted. For the most part, we want to celebrate with family friends. Funny part is that he wants the big wedding more than myself.

We were always going with a church wedding (why, I don't know, but it is what he wants). He said that if we were going to have a reception, that he wanted to go all out so we have all our friends and family there to celebrate. Since we can afford it, why not?

Exactly why he redid (great edjamakation I gots, huh? ) the house first and are now planning the wedding. He is 32 (ok, will be in a month and a half) and makes really good money (he works too much and is starting to realize that) and I am 27. We both settled into our careers first, that seems to have helped a bunch.

We are having 200 guests. He has a huge family and too many friends...I should talk, 78 of them are my guests. This why we are choosing off-season for the wedding. We've already cut alot of costs so it shouldn't hurt us too badly. If we could finally close on the new mortgage (combined the remainder and the construction loan), I could contact the church and begin planning - one thing at a time or my head might explode.

Actually yes. If you have proof of purchase - referring to the car comment - (title with name change, receipt, etc) you call the cops, they will either force the guy to hand over the keys and if he doesn't, take him/her away for car theft. Brian has sold and bought enough cars so we've had to make sure we understand our rights just in case a something happens with a purchase (like what happened a year ago).

Not being a lawyer, I don't know how else one could defend an accused rapist who has admitted to sex with the 'victim.' When I see this type of defense, though, I have to admit it makes me question the 'innocence' of their client.

I don't know what society can do, but the justice system could quit bending over backwards for the accused and :fyou the victims. There was a line on 'Law & Order' a few years back that says much: "The justice system is bending so far back for the accused that it is in danger of being flat on its back."

You can't possibly think the justice system does the most it can for victims, can you?
