Nothing planned, but I definitely want to take one. We'll be going to his dad's cottage in WI a few times and we are supposed to go to St. Louis for the Cards-Mariners series with a bunch of friends.

Spiff - that's nice!

SWEET! I can do this via mail. WooHoo! Thanks Tex!

I bought 4 boxes last night for all the easter baskets I have to make. Of course I will save a bunch for myself. B)

We're headed to Dayton for the last Clones game (ever as it looks). Oh and for me, I am a goalie fan - Irbe and Lalime .

The responses to the post I made about that were that you could get them anywhere in the cook county area (since you were born in Cook) that can hand them out (clumsy way of putting it, I know). For example, I can get mine at the Oak Lawn Court House even though I live in Chicago. As for specific locations, I am not certain, sorry.

Firstly, I've been against the Iraq war since the idea was made public. Fact of the matter is we've made a mess there and we should clean it up. With that said, I would be disgusted if we just upped and pulled out without finishing what we started.

After growing up in a gang infested neighborhood, I see this as a step in the right direction. The best thing they can do is what the public grammar school my brother and sister did - institute a dress code - dark pants and a paticular colored polo for the boys (I think it was white polos for them) and dark skirt or pants for the girls and white blouses.

Let me re-iterate that !

I hear ya. I see people cutting them off daily on the Tri-State. There were several times that I was certain the truck wasn't going to stop, but they did.

LMAO! I don't know if this is an april fools or not, but I could see one of my hamsters having a similar issue! I remember when I was a kid, my hamsters loved to get into the walls. I always got them out by laying a piece of carrot at the base of the wall and waiting to get them.

I hafta disagree. I still laugh my ass off watching the show.

Brian wants tropical, but I wanted Ireland. I guess tropical won't be bad and we will go to Ireland one day (I've already been he hasn't and wants to go). He said something about the Carribean...who knows though - too far in advance for me to think about too much.

Prayerfully, I will never find out about the costs of divorces on my own (but I have heard from FILs).

Just to give a little background... They started out in 1990 (or 91, can't remember and I want to make this quick) in the IHL. When the IHL disbanded, they technically disbanded and then were opened as an ECHL team owned by one of the Espositos (sp?) and Cuba Gooding Jr. That ownership took them to the playoffs both years and the second year the barely missed the finals (by a matter of minutes). After that season, US Bank Arena broke the contract with the team and bought the owners out. This year, they did everything within their power to tear the team up. There were daily trades, none of them made any sense. There have been rumors floating around that the Cincy Ducks are going to fold and the Gardens will bring the Cyclones back there (they used to play there in their IHL days) as either an ECHL team or an AHL team. Will this happen? I doubt it, but it's pretty much the last hope for this team.

I know she got the head of household and EIC, I have to check and see how she handled the standard dependent deduction this being the first time she has had to claim him as a deduction. Thanks for the info!
-
No, I don't think she did, but I didn't ask for much detail. I'll mention it to her and maybe she can contact HR Block about it. Yeah, she is defintely head of household and if she had her wits about her, she'd have been gone by now. It's just a cycle of him treating her like crap, her looking for apartments, him kissing her ass, her staying and then back to him treating her like crap. She ended up staying the night Monday because she was putting Nate to bed and he came home drunk and started berating her. I offered a temporary place to stay until she can secure an apartment, but she won't. I guess there isn't much more I can do other than offer. I just hate seeing her cry and look so beaten.
-
Well, this is the first tax time she had him as a deduction (sp?) and all she got was the EIC because she doesn't make that much. I was kinda being fasicious because he is her birth child, not adopted...
-
That was one of Clinton's strong points. Having family overseas, I often heard about how much he was liked there (Europe).
-
Where's my sister's tax credit - her son is half white and half black? Anywho, the guy I used to work for had been trying for awhile for adoption, but after getting their hopes up only to be dashed, they kind have given up on that idea for the time being.

Thanks to all that signed it. Brian and I know that chances are it won't change a thing, but at least we will feel like we tried our best to help the team survive.
