  1. The Sox have played well in the second half of each year since 2000, but they failed each time...
  2. Hitting a game winning home run doesn't mean you show up in big games. Look at Frank's playoff numbers and the two series against Minnesota for examples. I have never said Frank isn't a good hitter. What you have to realize is Frank is not god and he does have faults. And Shoeless Joe was a better all around player than Frank. In 94 and 00, did anyone else show up? No! It wasnt his fault. He didnt do well but our failure wasnt because of his failure. I really dont care how good Jackson was, he was a cheater and I still doubt he was as good as Frank...
  3. This team just likes to do this. They wont do it when it counts, but theyll do it when it means nothing. Watch, that piece of s*** Loaiza will win his 20th in his next start...
  4. This sucks. Right after they die, they wake up. Wonderful...
  5. Thomas has hit two gamewinning homeruns this season and Im sure hes had other big hits. As for Jackson, just dont get me started on that cheating piece of s***. He was in the Black Sox mess, and whether or not he helped and took money is unknown, but he had knowledge and allowed it to happen. But dont worry, Frank didnt win on a technicality. He was a better player anyways...
  6. 11 GIDPs? Thats one every 15 games. Not bad for someone with so little speed. If ya want GIDPs, look at Konerko and Maggs. Theyre the ones you want. But how can you jump on someone with 41 homeruns and 102 RBIs? Not to mention, this could be considered an offyear for him, which just goes to show how great he is...
  7. Bulls***. f*** that Loaiza maggot, he aint our MVP. Franks the MVP of this team and he has been for the last decade and three years...
  8. He hit two or three gamewinning homeruns this year, come to think of it...
  9. How come everyone has turned against Thomas, a legend and the greatest player to don the uniform for us ever? The man deserves respect!
  10. He went AWOL in Nam while 58000 of his brothers and sisters died for their country. In my perfect world, cowards like such would be skinned alive and burned at the stake...
  11. Who cares about his low average? That doesnt matter. He produced runs...
  12. Thomas, Everett, Lee, Marte and Gordon are the only players I really wanna see back next year. These guys play all out and I love that...
  13. I dont give a s*** about Maggs imploding. Im no fan of his and I never said he didnt implode. Frank imploded too but hes a legend and he deserves respect. None of this "Big Skirt" nonsense. The man has 41 bombs and 100 RBIs. What else do ya want?
  14. Two other people agree with me. I dont want to see Loaiza back here next year. He implodes under pressure...
  15. Garland did well this season. Not as well as he could have but it was still wrong for JM to say that...
  16. You naming Thomas just cuz you know itll piss me off? Whatever dude. I dont know how or why everyone here loves Loaiza, a mediocre player who finally busts out only to fail when it counts, but so many can hate Frank, a legend whos carried this offense for over a decade. Frank still has 100 RBIs and 41 homeruns! Hes better than Loaiza and he always will be...
  17. I would right now rather be a Tigers fan. They lost, they knew they were going to lose and they get a high draft pick. We were expected to win, but were going to lose, were going to win 84 games and get a mediocre draft pick. Loaiza failed us when we needed him. Without him, wed probably have been gone a long time ago and that woulda been easier than going out now...
  18. I dont like Jon, but he has become the scapegoat for our failures. Jon dominated in quite a few of his starts and except for that KC disaster yesterday, hes done well down the stretch. Loaiza, in my opinion, is a better scapegoat...
  19. Benedict was a great and daring general but he felt his duty was unappreciated so he betrayed them. Loaiza didnt necessarily betray us but he let us down. He pitched great but in the end he failed us. If hes tired, it doesnt matter. His stupid ass shoulda said something. And if hes gonna blow down the stretch every year, I really dont want him back...
  20. I saw a few people bash on E-Lo and go unchallenged so Im curious if thats the common view. I think Loaiza did betray us and let us down. He had two chances to put away our rival and he failed both times, and then he failed again in a last ditch game against KC. He pitched great for us but when we truly needed him to be great, he couldnt do it. Personally, Im not overly fond of mediocre pitchers who come here and pitch like hell until we really need em where they go back to their old form. You guys have seen all year that Ive never been really fond of Loaiza, I always saw him as a bit of a fluke. Im not sure I want to see him back here next year either. Thoughts on this subject are appreciated...
  21. Out of these past couple games, Colon blew it once, and that was only a mediocre, not terrible, start. Loaiza blew it three times. I dont know how Colon will do today, and it doesnt matter, but he deserves some slack. Also, if hes dying to go to New York, wouldnt that motivate him to pitch his ass off? Seems logical to me...
