  1. The Sox don’t have the right after five years to do so unless it was injury rehab.
  2. He was super excited scoring last night. Watch the video.
  3. Where’s another KW to claim him like Alex Rios when he was exposed to waivers, lol? Pretty sure sending him down without his permission isn’t going to work…
  4. How much did you actually watch him play there at Charlotte? Are you just basing that primarily on his offense?
  5. https://evanalytics.com/mlb/leaderboards/team-bullpen-rankings This ranking system has the Sox bullpen fifth in baseball. Obviously not overweighing blown saves there.
  6. Other than perhaps the Yankees in the past, who is first?
  7. Or even Ruiz. Man Crick is bad bad bad. Know it can’t be Lopez.
  8. Sigh. This most expensive bullpen in history.
  9. Nobody is trading for Moncada so it’s 2B or the bench…or DHing Burger but forcing Vaughn to the outfield. One way or the other it weakens the defense no matter what option they choose.
  10. Thankfully there’s Kopech and Cease. And Dunning led to Lynn. Giolito had the big name but his Nationals’ career was a bit of a mess by then.
  11. Well, his velo short arming has gone from 94-97, touching 98 down to low 90’s. It creates more deception, but not close to 2019-20 form. Especially first half 2019. That said, he would have been 15 times had he reached double figures strikeouts. Tied for third with Juan Pizarro in Sox history. Sale with the all time Sox lead in double digit K efforts.
  12. Thanks Ron for Abreu’s resurgence! Burger continues the onslaught. Seems to have most of his homers on offspeed stuff. Close to team lead in RBI’s. The Yermin feel good story of 2022. More two out runs, too.
  13. Walker Buehler left last night’s game after 70 pitches with right elbow soreness. To be evaluated. Update: Will return in September at the earliest
  14. Seems we should have 3-4 runs with 8 hits already…
  15. Timing with Carlos Perez in a slump probably isn’t the best… Rangers’ broadcasters had raised eyebrows about Grandal starting two consecutive…day game after a night game. 5-3 Twins now. Perez normally in the low 60% range for first pitch strikes…much lower today but Sox still not putting him away.
  16. This game would not be described as being played at a brisk pace. Moncada the only one not to reach base yet. .290 BA against LHP climbing. Arraez GS off Baz. 4-3 Twins. No Correa/Buxton/Urshela.
  17. Especially a steady diet of sliders off the plate. We should be thankful Perez and Garver aren't still on the Twins this season. Small ball attack. 3/6 hits on the changeup now.
  18. Pollock up to .241. Wonder if he has a positive fWAR yet...probably getting closer. Only second earned run all season for Perez on the road in 30+ IP. Make that three now. Robert singles attack.
  19. They would never send him below AA to do that...
  20. Rangers are really good at hitting changeups. Slider instead. Two outs. Rangers 1 for their last 22 RISP. 5 k's and one pop up.
  21. Can't survive putting this many runners on base. 7th in Cy Young for those 2019-20 seasons but not quite the same pitcher for 1 1/2 seasons now.
  22. That didn't or doesn't stop them from playing Grandal Harrison or Leury.
