  1. Hmmm...Red Sox broadcast said he had none the other day, so I'd have to check it. Are they really playing Gasolina fifteen years too late?
  2. Just cancel the rest of the game and keep the interview going for two more hours...
  3. Is Grandal, otoh, going to throw anyone out the entire season?
  4. Did he think Billy Hamilton was up instead?
  5. How much time does he realistically spend working on push or drag bunts?
  6. Sheets is just completely lost if he's trying to beat outta bunt for a hit. Just send him to Charlotte to play every day.
  7. I know that winning games in May against a team looking for ways to lose is more important than giving playing time to someone who won't be on the roster in October.
  8. Tim Anderson is 3/3 with a homer against Houck but not in the lineup.
  9. https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/batvspitch/_/id/41009/tanner-houck Anderson and Abreu have done the best against Houck…removing Wacha from the equation, we have at least a 40% chance to win now. https://www.espn.com/mlb/player/gamelog/_/id/41009/tanner-houck He was very good in April but destroyed by the Angels last time out, gave up 7 runs to kick his ERA way up.
  10. 1. NL West +27 (W/L differential) +80 (RS/RA) 2. AL East +10 +13 3. AL West -2 +18 4. NL East -7 +6 5. AL Central -12 -47 6. NL Central -16 -70
  11. Need Leury in LF and Engel in RF…that’s the toughest right field to play in the entire majors. Even last year, the lineup was twice as imposing despite Robert and Jimenez being out. Seems almost hopeless at times. So in theory, Wacha is due for a lousy start today just like Pivetta had his best yesterday. Or Keuchel just by the law of averages will finally have a decent start.
  12. If it’s a blowout early, you can always switch to Konnor Pilkington vs. the vaunted Blue Jays offense in CLE.
  13. Nobody on this entire message board thought it was a good signing.
  14. That's why I said the White Sox just need to stay 5-6 back because of all those A's games and then home and away with KC and Detroit for the majority of May. Got lots of laughs at the time predicting Minny would possibly still hold the lead heading into June, but the Twins were something like 0/17 with RISP going back multiple games and are still pulling them out of their asses somehow. They also continue to get better pitching than expected.
  15. It certainly is if you're in CA/WA/OR.
  16. Yep, Vaughn and Moncada...if only there was a way to DH Vaughn, but that would require Pollock and Engel to be offensive threats on the corners. Also, interesting decision coming with Sheets and Burger. Sheets hasn't earned his spot but likely stays due to handedness.
  17. Robert cutting off that double from Vasquez getting to the wall one of the other key plays...Anderson hobbled the replay, but too late to restart Bradley.
  18. But we gave Leury two extra years to be a utility guy for the exact same price.
  19. The crazy thing is there wasn't a base hit with RISP the entire game until Abreu doubled in the ghost runner. Had four shots to get another run in from third and failed each time. Gutty performance from Cease and the entire bullpen. Lopez pitched his way into and out of trouble...that was the point where you felt the White Sox would win.
  20. 5 appearances in 6 days for Liam. That was a backbreaker for Boston. Barnes is toast.
  21. Someone who didn't look very clearly at the 2018-20 numbers for Harrison and Pollock.
  22. It was a strike and a hanger...should have been clobbered.
