  1. I never though I'd see my hometown of Aurora on this list. Even though I'm not there anymore.
  2. As long as I've got my solid gold house, my rocket car, and my millions of dollars, I'm not greedy.
  3. Im in champaign right now and hte Deals store has about 50 of these in stock for $5.
  4. Just put in 100 for JD and C Lee.
  5. I'm disappointed that I don't have a computer right now for this, Anytime I come into contact with one, JD will be getting at least a couple more votes. I remember in 2005 my boss let me take the last 3 hours of work the two days of voting so I could vote for Pods. I must have put in so many votes those 6 hours.
  6. QUOTE (shipps @ Jul 3, 2008 -> 08:48 AM) I never felt like Hawk and DJ really liked each other. They can say that they do,but you could just tell they get on each others nerves. I thought that at first but in the last couple of years it really does seem to me that they have grown to really like and respect one another especially hawk towards DJ. As much as I like Stone, I'd rather keep hawk and DJ together. I really think they do a good job together. Well if you are a white sox fan that is.
  7. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:54 PM) As RockRaines and a few others were stating in the Cubs thread, Dempster's seemed to have found the "fountain of youth". Maybe it's the same magic that Soto and Gallagher (who went from throwing 91 mph last season to 95 mph this season) found. I'm always suspicious of older players that bounce back from surgeries and seem to have found a lot of success. It's also a reason that I think we'll see older players hit the wall more quickly in the past, as players that don't take performance enhancers will age like they're actually supposed to (case in point, Thome). I'm very skeptical of Soto. He's doing things in the majors that his numbers in the minors wouldn't suggest he ever had a chance of doing.
  8. QUOTE (chw42 @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:49 PM) We're 9 outs away from ending this miserable game. Best thing I've heard all day. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:52 PM) Yeah. They also payed the Sox hitters to try to hit HR after HR. It's a shame we fail and they succeed.
  9. QUOTE (fathom @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:44 PM) What more does Dempster have to do to get any credit on this board? He's been a top 10 starter in all of baseball this season. There's just as good of a chance of him keeping it up all season as Floyd or Danks. I've never said that I think Dempster is a bad pitcher, He's a good number 4, real good number 5 in my eyes. I don't think his success will last this year. I think that Floyd and Danks both have better chances to maintain as they have been highly regarded as prospects in the recent past.
  10. QUOTE (Princess Dye @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:43 PM) i'd like to see Masset get a start at some point here. I wish it had been today.
  11. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:41 PM) 1. The Cubs might score 100 this series- maybe 100 this game. 2. We are too inconsistent to be the best team in baseball. No, we're not- we beat the teams we should and get demolished by the team's we shouldn't. 3. The Cubs are damn good. You're probably right on everything but the Cubs being damn good. They will never win in the playoffs with the pitching they have. Frankly, behind Zambrano it's weak.
  12. QUOTE (whitesoxbrian @ Jun 21, 2008 -> 01:37 PM) That'd be nice, except I have a tough question- who carries the load when Dye can't? Dye picked up Q's slack, but who will pick up Dye's? Uribe, He can carry us for stretches.
  13. I hate this team. For now. Next weekend, we'll probably sweep the cubs and score 100 runs for all I know and I'll think we're the best team in baseball, its frustrating. I still don't think the cubs are really that good.
  14. OH well, since the game is over, can we just talk about something else. I personally really hate national league baseball.
  15. I don't even know If I can really watch this.
  16. You know, I always forget how much I hate these f***ers until this series.
  17. Made it to 582. Leaving for the game in about half an hour.
  18. Excellent, I've been looking at weather.com about every ten minutes. Looking good.
  19. QUOTE (Texsox @ May 23, 2008 -> 02:09 PM) Just a little public service I try and provide those posters who have their settings at 50 posts per page. I appreciate it.
