i think billy bean prefers to keep his superstar players till the end and then get the draft choices...it seems t o work for him..hell everything seems to work for billy

jm was talking about loiaza in the 4th spot and letting danny ease his way back in through the 5th spot...as long as danny is healthy..im happy

i know towards the end of his time in cleveland sexson was having a lot of trouble with the cleveland fans..he was getting booed alot...i cant remember what he said but when he got traded he really ripped the fans...
-
JM just said he threw on the side today and had no problems...keeping my fingers crossed

good points..you know as poilarizing as this issue is there are good people on both sides....id like to see both sides work together more to prevent the need for abortions all together...then it becomes mute..but i dont know if that will ever happen

was yours the tejada deal..im considering it..but texas still insists its not serious...but thats the exact same symptoms i had....pain in the neck and weakness in the left shoulder...which became weakness in the left arm..which led to surgery..and mine wa like alex's..just a slight bludge...but did things go downhill quick... im considering it..with my luck id make the deal and tejada would blow out a knree and arod would be 100%..lol

one thing im sure of...regaurdless of how you break up the season (pre /post -all star or 81/81 games) if carlos is still on the team next year we will be having this same discussion...carlos showed brilliance in the first or second (take your choice) half of the season and he is ready to reach his potential vrs he will always be a one half season performer...

vegas would never happen.. i dont think they would allow it anyhow..... but how about salt lake.. theres a heavily populated area which could support a team............... as long as vegas has gambling no major league team will play there....gheezz..half the team would end up with lifetime bans after the first year
-
He can back-up center... rios cant be much worse in CF Tthen harris...he is shaky on every play
-
until somebody shows me how to steal first base miles should get the final spot over harris..

What are you talking about? They have tons of teams! The city that NEEDS a professional team is Las Vegas. The most exciting city in the US, and they don't have a team? That's absurd. can you imagine if vegas had a team when pete rose was still in baseball

2 months in the minors will not change him from the next rob deer if thats his destiny to the next mickey mantle...with his talent if he is not ready now he never will be Oh c'mon Baggs! He's had a season and a half of professional baseball, right? Plus he was focused on football in College. Give the young man a chance to learn how to play the game. he can play the game better right now than carlos lee ever will his fundementals are real good...he just needs to learn to hit major league pitching..i i dont think that will happen in charlotte...i think he is ready...his power is unbelievable

I have always been a defender of KW. I just stated I had the right to change my opinion. Get some class. you are in desparate need of it. i think yasny has a good point..while everyone here is free to voice their opinoons anyway they want..a big reason for this sites success has been that quite a few fans from WSI and chisox boards got tired of the "if you dont agree with my opinon youre a dumbass" mentality that at times has invaded those sites... we dont have to all hold hands and sing kumbaya but we shouldnt be attacking each other personally either....jmo..take it for what its worth

Some people are against him no matter what he does. That is unfortunate, and those people will probably never give him credit no matter what he does. KW didn't get off to a very good start, but he has done a much better job lately. I know he gets hammered a lot for the Durham deal, but I have a feeling that he was ordered to move Ray. That kinda put him over a barrel. KW hasn't done a bad job. myself i dont buy into these theories that JM had to play clayton because KW said so....or kw had to move durham becaue JR said so...if that was the case then KW should become the field manager and JR should also wear the hat of the GM.. if KW was ordered to move durham by JR and he did it then he deserves to be called an idiot...you stand up to your bosses in those situations and suffer the consequences...kw should have said you hired me to be the GM..let me do the job i wa hired to do the best way i can..same would go for JM to KW...maybe thats a reason why the sox are mediocre at best under JR's ownership as for what williams said...it was stupid...he knows damn well the money excuse drives fans away...what he should have said was we made rogers what we felt was a very fair...but unfortunately he and his agent took what they felt was a better offer... i believe with incentives the sox offer was about the same as the twins..kw could have also said we offered rogers a very similiar contract that minnesota offered but he chose not to play here.. anything but the "i only had 50 cents in my pocket and needed a dollar" excuse he's an idiot because its the 3rd year of his GMship and he hasnt figured this out yet...

johnson was much better than josh paul...mark threw out about 40% of the runners stealing against and has a 993 fldg pct...josh paul throws out about half that amount and carries a fldg pct around 980..josh sux behind the plate...plus johnson was buehrle's personal catcher...what happens if olivo and mark dont mesh and it effects mark's performance.. big thing to me about johnson..he never gets hurt..unlike sandy..if we had a johnson / olivo tandem we cut just cut josh loose and not have the injury worries we have with sandy...who by the we way cant even throw the ball to 2nd base anymore w/o bouncing it

or they really dont think 3rd term abortions are a good thing...remember this legislation passed twice in clinton administration..he just refused to sign it into law... if this is challenged by pro choice and it goes to the supreme court they might end up getting roe v wade overturned all together..the problem imo , with roe v wade is that it should be a states rights issue..not at the federal level...all these women's rights groups running around saying if roe v wade is overturned we wil go back to wmoen having abortions with coathangers is bulls***...what will happen is the very next day every state in the union will be introducing abortion bills into their state senates and houses..in some states they will pass..including palces like new york , illinois and massachuttes where they will also pass partial birth abortion bills..orthers they will fail and it will be illegal in states that are more conservative leaning...massachittes and illinois might let you get abortions 5 years after the baby is born ..other health issues are all handled at state levels..even the right to death..which i believed passed in oregon..but abortion for some reason is at the national level a legal arguement against abortion is child support laws..the man has no rights..if a women decides she is not financially stable enough to have the child she can get an abortion and everyone says, ohhh , what a wise choice , now you can go onto college and make a life for yourself and have a family when you are ready...if that same girl decides to keep it the first thing thats done is everyone looks to the father and says pay up ass hole for the next 18 years or your ass is going to jail...what happens if the father feels he is not ready for a family and would like to go to college and start a family when he is ready???can he get an abortion.???..nope ..he is called a deadbeat dad...thats bulls***...if youre going to have abortion the there should be a stipulation for financial abortions for fathers who dont want the kid...that might sound screwed up and i agree...but if you have abortion its the fair thing to do... thats two arguemenmts against roe v wade that have nothing to do with religous beliefs...now i admitt i believe abortion is wrong on my religous beliefs but one can make a case against it w/o brigning religon into it..

he'll never agree to play safety....he fought tooth and nail for years to stay on the corner and be the only white starting corner in the league..he even wrote a book about it..he sux now..but at one time he was considered by his peers as the best athlete in the NFL...he's not worth it for a team that s in a perpetual rebuilding mode
-
no its not the right thing to do .. it only means they got something in return which will come later on down the road.............. youre saying 14 democratic senators sold their votes out on the abortion issue???....if thats true and it comes out..it will damn near ruin the party..kinda hope you are right

you guys are all hitting o nthe problem with wunch...if we are going with a 12 man staff then fine..there is room for a loogy..but a loogy becomes more of a liability then an asset o nan 11 man staff...the rest of your pen gets overworked..we need a "loogy plus"

Good analysis HawkDJ. Loaiza has earned a spot thus far in the rotation. Since DW is having elbow inflammation, it makes sense to move him to the number 5 spot where he'll start fewer games. I must admit, Loaiza has been a very pleasant surprise this ST..... especially since Rauch and Wright have been disappointing. speaking of rauch..i think he's in trouble “I’m not throwing strikes, that’s what it means,” Rauch said. “If you don’t throw strikes, you won’t win ball games and you won’t succeed. Right now, I’m trying to get back to that and figure out what I’m doing wrong.” Rauch was equally flustered when asked if any pitch in particular was giving him trouble. “All of them are giving me trouble,” Rauch said. “The fastball is my bread-and-butter pitch to get ahead of guys and I can’t throw it for strikes.
