oregon politics are some of the most screwed up in the union....with no other industry whatsoever back in the early they voted to completely shut down the only industry in the state..which was logging..there were towns south of eugene and east of the cascades that were running at 30-40% unemployment while the rest of the country was booming during the computer explosion...it was one of the reasons i moved back to chicago.. kulongowski is governor now??...i think he was attorney general when i was there..and not a very good one from what i remember..

Like Dan Wright wright wins 14 games his first full season as a starter and we are gonna move him to the pen???..please..neither should go to the pen but garland should go before wright Baggs, disagree. Garland really impressed me in spring training. His bullpen sessions were spectacular. So were Colon's. I like wright a whole lot and think he has front of the line stuff, but right now I'm scared big time about his health. Wright definately needs more time. No way do you put a guy that pitched darn good down the stretch last year and is just getting started. I'm with Baggs on Wright, always will be too I think. Last year baggs and I agreed on Garland being over-rated. This year he's improved a whole lot, imo. It started when Coop came here and he started throwing other pitches then just a fastball. whitesoxfan..thats cool jason...you'd have to seew right healthy before you can compare the two...last year i saw them both pitch twice...wright impressed me alot more..man i pray he didnt screw up his elbow...he 's got a great career ahead of him..as does garland...hopefully they both stay healthy because it will be fun to see which one does become the better pitcher -
you position on gun control makes no sense...you are the biggest conspiracy theory believer ive ever met..everything the gopvernment does is evil and against the betterment of its population..with an attitude like that how in the hell could you be for gun control??....if your correct and most of our political leaders are either sell outs , zealots , whatever then how in the hell could you be for the government going door to door to take everyone's guns away..therefore leaving the only people in america with guns is the group you are so sure of is behind all these conspiracies???..dont you think w/o an armed populace they will come and take even more of your freedoms??? as far as the 2nd amendment goes...when it was written the only well trained militias were men (and probably some well trained women as well , right HSC ) from eachcity town and rural areas..there was no national gaurd...everyone member of the community was expected to take up arms against any enemy "foriegn or domestic "....you can not take guns away from the individual and be able to fight a domestic enemy....the forefathers were protecting us against our elected leaders should they go off the deep end...

Well, I don't want to defend Rogers or any member of the Twins, but... If you look at last year's Sox stats, Danny Wright had an ERA over a half run more than Jon Garland, and yet Wright won more games. Basically, what I'm saying is that when looking at how successful a pitcher was in a given year, wins/losses can be very misleading. The more telling number is ERA, and anything under 4 in the AL isn't bad -- especially for a guy that's going to be a 4th or 5th starter. or that could mean era is very deceiving.. a pitcher could go 3 starts..21 ip give up 6 runs and win 3 games his 4th start he goes 3 ip gives up 8 runs... his record would be 3-1 with a 5.25 era...but he pitched well in 75% of his starts...thats kind of how danny pitched last year...he couldnt stay out of the big inning but if you look at the percentage if IP where he didnt give up any runs its probably up there with some of the betetr pitchers in baseball... maybe ill come up with a new stats..percentage of shutout IP's to

Right! But, I thought it might've been nice for him to work a little on pitching to righties so he can in a pinch be used against them! I don't know if he can exactly work on how he pitches against righties. The fastest he'll ever throw it is 82 or 83(and that's when he is throwing his hardest) or so I assume. It's his funky ass delivery that f***s up a lot of lefties, and where it hits the plate against them. A guy like that will never have good control....and lefties that can get out righties either have real good stuff or real good control(or a mix of the two). That's why Damaso can get righties out, and Wunsch can't....Wunsch doesn't have good stuff or control, and Damaso does. he would have to have pinpoint control of that running fastball..hitting the outside corner..forcing guys to chase that pitch..if he comes inside to a righty he would get killed

the senate today passed a bill to ban 3rd term or partial birth abortions by a wide margin...the house is expected to pass the same bill..this has happened before but bil lcliton refused to sign it into law..this time president bush says he will sign it as soon as it crosses his desk...pro choice groups say the will sue the government to have the bill deemed unconsititutional..

Where would I find that information? Most people don't believe my assertion that this was the case and frankly I can't remember where I heard that first, nor can I prove it. Help would be appreciated. people dont believe you....i thought everyone knew that as common knowledge???...i dont where you could go to get documentation..all through the 90's there would be reports every couple of months or so that iraqis fired on one of our jets in the no fly zone...we have been bombing in the northern and southern no fly zones since the gulf war ended..i cant believe there are people out there that refuse to believe that

That's a joke right? Our immigration is really easy. Painfully slow in some cases, very quick in others, depends who you work for. We charge criminals with lesser crimes here so not to affect their status in this country, it's bloody ridiculous. I'm sure he could get in and stay out his days without trouble, but nobody would listen to U.S. rants he'd have to get some Canadian ones, and Apu should definately stay out of the West though, Alberta's guns are very abundant and their politics are further right than George W's. thats what ive heard..but since you live ill definately take your word for it..

first i want to say i think its great that this young girl was found alive and returned home..nothing could make me happier....but does it seem a little wierd that the family is having press conferences like on the hour ,every hour???....if i was that girls father that would be the last thing i would be doing...you wouldnt have been able to pry me away from my daughter...i would have had a friend or family member come out and make statement thanking everyone involved for all their help and prayers and then would have asked out of respect for my daughter and everything she has been through to please respect our privacy..we need to be alone to tend to our daughter's needs...everytime on turn on the tv someone , mother , father , whoever , i having a press conference...if i went through it maybe i would be changed and being the same thing..but it seems pretty bizzarre to me

i figured kelly was in for battle for exactly the reasons you stated...he makes it tough on a pitching staff thats only going to carry 11 pitchers instead of 12...but right now kelly is outpitching all the contenders for his spot..if that keeps up he should keep his spot

ill bet he 's a little taller then 5'6"???

when exactly did bush sr. make that speech???...i got a feeling that speech was made last summer before the president went to the UN and thats what he was talking about... the reason i think that is because 300,000 troops ready to go to war... there has always been a unwritten policy that ex-presidents shouldnt speak out against current administrations and try to undermine their authority...though the honor in that might have died with ronald reagan...but with that as the bench mark even if H thought W was 100% wrong it would be appauling for him to speak out against any sitting president but especially his own son as the country is headed towards war... now as what H had to say...yes that is H to a tee...thats why i voted for perot in '92...thats why H was a one term president...he really had trouble doing the right thing when it wasnt popular...remember "read my lips"..then he caves into pressure from the dems and raises taxes...the ironic thing is clinton used that against him 92..saying H was dishonest..and H was giving into the democrats..i knew our country was in trouble after that..its also a big reason why clinton was elected president with only 43% of the vote... let me get off that tangent..but that is bush SR...he reminds so much of jimmy carter...neither guy really had the balls for the job...if this is the kind of advice H is giving W i hope he listens out of respect for his father then goes about his business...because W is a much stronger leader than H ever was...he is a much better president

A televised appearance by Saddam in which the Iraqi dictator renounces nuclear, chemical and biological weapons. Baghdad's permission for 30 key weapons scientists to travel to Cyprus to be interviewed by U.N. weapons inspectors. The destruction "forthwith" of 10,000 liters of anthrax and other chemical and biological weapons Iraq allegedly possesses. The disclosure of full details regarding an Iraqi aerial drone recently discovered by weapons inspectors, as well as other unmanned aerial vehicles The surrender of and explanation about biological weapons production. A commitment to destroy proscribed missiles. gee ..can you guess what the french have to say about this???...why in the eyes of the french this is outragous ..the french said they will also use thier veto to stop this resolution

yesterday there was a report saying he was supposed to throw on the side..maybe he did and the elbow swelled up...could just be a rumor...nothing official yet from the sox...

when kelly faces a righty he'd be better served to just toss the ball to the batter and say , just throw it up and hit it
