well..to get laid ( i was pretty wild in my army days) me and a buddy invited 2 yugoslavian chics in to our army site..it was an isolated radio site on a mountian in germany...this was before the wall came down...so if we'd have gotten caught id probably still be in leavenworth..was it worth it...hmmmmmm ..your tax dollars at work another stupid thing i did was vacation in greece in 1985..i was in the army at that time and greece was on very high terror alert..while i was there terrorist tried to blow up a bus of american tourist..this was also around the achilles laurel time...with me being in the military if i would have gotten in hostage situaton i was a dead man... i almost burned down half of germany when i lit a firecracker and threw it into a filed..man did that go up quick thats about it

all we can do is attend games ourselves and try and drag a few friends along..ive made two games already...6 tickets worth... as far as everyone else...well riensdorf made massive amounts of enemies with sox fans for his stand on the strike in '94 and the white flag trade in '97...we lost about 1/3 of our fan base after the white flag trade and they aint coming back...you can say its stupid or whatever but no one who needs to hear that will because they are not following this team anymore..and its been 6 years so like i said, they aint coming back... we just dont have a big enough fan base anymore to draw from...go to baseballreference.com if you dont believe me...attendance was fine until 97..it went in the crapper in '98 and never came back...people can argue whether the white flag trade was good but all you have to do is look at the attendance to see it was a huge mistake...one that's probably not fixable until either reinsdorf sells the team or we win a world series.. there is no ot her excuse the park??..its fine..the upgrades put it in the top 10 in baseball the neighborhood??..youre 10 times more like to get assaulted at wrigley we dont win??..we were the 5th winningest franchise in baseball through the 90's what is it then??..gotta be reinsdorf...

got a feeling with as bad as detroit and cleveburg are...and if KC comes back to earth that both minnesota and us could rack up 95 plus wins each and pull the wild card out of our division...we got like 60 games against what really are 3 good triple A clubs...well in detroits case maybe a bad triple A club

i think koch is hurt..this is too reminicent of '01..when every other week a pitcher's velocity was down and then they went to the DL...look for billy to go to the DL soon and im thinking jerry will probably go with gordon as his closer because he doesnt want to lose marte leftiness in the 7th and 8th....or if marte does move to closer look for stewart to go to the pen when wright comes back or have stewart go down and dave sanders come up.. but i really think billy is in trouble..you dont lose 10 mph off your fastball for no reason

i like how we took advantage of opportunites and put these guys away early..thast what you should do against poor teams when they make mistakes..thats something we havent done all year... i like how josh settled down after his poor start but i still dont know if he is really ready to pitch at this level..he has pitched against the worst hitting teams in baseball..i dont think he would have made 3 innings if he was facing the yankees oe red sox..one of the better hitting teams...he doesnt throw hard and he was missing his spots today...thats a bad combo..i think when danny is ready josh will go down or maybe work out of the pen as an additional lefty..would be nice to have 3 lefties against minny.... id also like to find a way to get olivo on base more...when he is running the bases he really puts pressure on the other team's defense...he makes things happen...im really impressed with his speed , quickness and all out hustle..and his defense is as advertised..i see gold gloves in his future...he's my kind of player...he is like darrin erstad at catcher one note to bruce kimm..d'angelo doesnt carry the typical lead off man's speed...gotta be more conservative of those sac flys with him... today we played good ball..got off to a lead early..played excellent defense behind josh...graffy and crede both had potential web gems...no errors (except for josh himself)....we executed well...and for the first time this year..we won w/o jose valentin in the line up

If you are winning, then why do you need Borchard at all? WhiteSox 247 said it best. Rowand is certainly not the only guy out there not hitting, so let's just bench everybody. Daubach is not the answer because he cannot play CF. They will not move Maggs to CF so scratch that idea now. I honestly have never seen a bunch of fans whine and complain more about guys on a team that is winning. Do you really want everybody playing at World Series level right now? Wouldn't October be a better option? Quit your whining about Rowand until he is hitting .200 a month from now and the team is losing. Until then understand that... Sometimes the best option is to do NOTHING AT ALL. Read it and learn it! rex..we are winning..but we are not playing good ball...detroit could lose 120 games..cleveland 100 and kc will come back to earth and probably lose between 80-90..thats over 300 losses between the three teams we have played...if the white sox themselves think they are playing good ball..they are gonna get a serious ass whooping at the hands of the better teams in the league.. we have played better the last 2 games..so i hope thats a good sign things are getting better...but if we go up against any of the contender sstranding runners like we have most of the year we are gonna be in for a rude awakening...this team still has to come together and do more of the little things it takes to win...

Not to defend the umpires, because lately they seem to be suffering from selective blindness when it involves the Sox, but umping in little league is nothing like umping in the majors. It's like comparing Pong (extremely slow) to a modern video game (very fast). cluj..working behind the plate would be different.. alot harder..but an out safe call at first???...how is any different in little league over the majors if its a bang-bang play??...they might run faster Uunless its paulie ) but its still a bang- bang play for both...its an easy call..you watch the runner at the base and listen for the ball to hit the first baseman's glove...you also can see if the first baseman pulled his foot...right at that point you know if the ball beat him..if it did you immediately look at the first baseman to make sure he didnt bobble or dropit..then make the call....it really is easy tag play is actually easier because your looking at the whole play...your eyes should be right there unless you fell asleep and got out of position..if you eyes work and you hustle as an ump you should never miss a tag play like i said above what seperates the big boys is calling balls and strikes... and pong wasnt slow....it got faster and faster until you missed the little square..the better you got the faster it got...YOU COULD NEVER WIN!!!!!

that's exactly what was wrong with the '01 and '02 teams...why they underachieved some much in both years after the season was lost and the veterans werwe traded the rookies came up and got us back to 500 and or over... its because you cant take that approach and win...so he hit a home run on a crappy pitch..hey he was sucessful ..whatever works...well it doesnt work...'01 and '02 taught us that...you can be successful here and there but at the end of the season you are left scratching your head wondering why a team like minnesota, who on paper cant touch the sox, wins the division by 13 games... you have to play good fundemental baseball to win in the majors...why is that so hard to understand??...when you got the bases loaded and one out as a team you should succeed in getting the lead runner home 67% of the time minumum..with no outs it should be 80% of the time..are we even close to that number??...we arnt even 50%..we are winning..but we have played 3 teams so far that could suffer 300 losses combined this year..that less than 50% number of scoring runners from 3rd with less than 2 outs will not work against oakland , new york , minnesota..the good teams..we are off to a great start....but we arnt playing good baseball yet...though the last two days have been improvements
