  1. So much for that f*** this pitching staff and their constant mistakes to bad hitters f*** them
  2. Don't let this s***ty hitter (Gomez) get another cheap hit, seriously
  3. 6th inning here. This is where Ozzie's handling of the pitching staff, and the performance of our bullpen will decide the game. Or Gavin could, you know, go 1-2-3 for once.
  4. QUOTE (TheBigHurt @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 09:01 PM) Well, I missed most of the game because I was at work. Can someone give me a quick overview of how we got our runs? OC got a solo shot then we strung some hits together, eventually konerko got an RBI groundout and then there were two outs they walked griffey with a runner at 3rd, 2 outs, then plunk AJ, then uribe clears the bases on a lineshot off Slowey which he tried to run and field and ended up throwing it away
  5. it's like there's a f***ing presense in that dome giving the twins all the breaks, it's seriously unbelievable it's a miracle that we were able to take advantage if only for a brief part of the game
  6. busher tries tying the game, soft flyout to Dye he almost got all of it, floyd pounds his glove because he knows he got away with a mistake 6-3 sox
  7. QUOTE (lostfan @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 08:54 PM) As long as it's not Logan. If Ozzie even thinks about bringing him out there, Kenny should come down from the press box and fire him immediately. from ozzie's comments two days ago, i have a good feeling we will not see logan pitch again this year
  8. QUOTE (The Ginger Kid @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 08:53 PM) keep posting - i can't watch right now Young K's on an 0-2 breaking ball
  9. i keep thinking of that slam young hit off mariano
  10. need a double play here like seriously don'tlet these guys bat with runners on base
  11. nice, gavin pissing away the game lovely white sox baseball
  12. righties hitting .284 off reyes lol adios griffey!
  13. griffey batting here instead of anderson is a huge managerial mistake unless griffey goes deep, then nvm
  14. QUOTE (DrunkBomber @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 05:28 PM) WHat was the name of that game? altered beast i think
  15. QUOTE (fathom @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 03:57 PM) Same lineup tonight? Haha....unbelievable. far from unbelievable, this is ozzie guillen's M.O.
  16. QUOTE (griffey17 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 03:40 PM) Slowey...1-2 with a 5.87 ERA last 3 starts...so letys get on him early and often blackburn over his last 2 starts, 20+ ERA irrelevant
  17. When will our hitters start sitting on the slider instead of the fastball? Oh, never. God forbid you adjust to what the league is doing to you The phrase i keep coming back to when thinking about these hitters is "Stupid Robots" Programmed for one thing, but cannot recalculate and adjust when the situation changes Farmer was harping on these guys last night about how Blackburn hung about a billion sliders and other random breaking pitches, but because our hitters are 100% locked dead-red on a fastball, Blackburn sawed through our lineup without breaking a sweat Until these hitters smarten up, and use their f***ing brains for once, it'll be more of the same tonight SOX PLAYERS, IF YOU'RE READING (lol) THIS: THE TWINS WILL NOT GIVE YOU HITTABLE FASTBALLS. DO YOU THINK THEY'RE RETARDED? THEY WILL NIBBLE WITH FASTBALLS OFF THE PLATE, AND ATTACK YOU WITH SLIDERS, CHANGEUPS, CURVEBALLS, AND OTHER ASSORTMENTS OF BREAKING/OFFSPEED PITCHES. MAKE ADJUSTMENTS OR DIE TRYING.
  18. QUOTE (LittleHurt05 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 06:53 AM) I have all the faith in the world that Floyd will have a good start, maybe 2 or 3 ER... Faith in the offense??? not so much Slowey vs. Sox at the Cell in 08: 8 IP, 14 H, 11ER, 3 BB, 8K Slowey vs. Sox at the Dome in 08: 9 IP, 6 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 5 K Slowey is very good in the dome, i've watched a lot of his games on mlb.tv His pitches have a lot of life on them, and he has incredible control as well These twins players just aren't the same at home, it's not even close really The same can be said, verbatim, for our Sox on the road
  19. QUOTE (palehose23 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 04:01 AM) Hating Ozzie Guillen is dumb. You can disagree with his moves but he has managed his ass off this year and never gets his just due. I agree with you taking out Jermaine Dead but Ozzie is not to blame for this teams problems he has been the Manager of the Year IMHO of course hate is a strong word that gets thrown around a lot, and i of course don't hate ozzie the person, it's just easier to say "i hate ozzie" instead of "i hate ozzie's handling of the pitching staff, bullpen, and lineup creation" and i don't disagree with what you said about ozzie not being the person to blame for this teams problems, but he brings along some problems to the already existing ones it sucks because having griffey in CF hurts this team more than it helps it sucks because dye is not helping the lineup at all at this point, and having him in RF instead of Griffey (who's actually been hitting the ball/driving in runs) is a mistake that everyone except ozzie can see overall, it sucks that we're in the position we're in, not because of how ozzie makes the lineup, but because of guys like Thome, Swisher, JD, Vazquez, Konerko, and to some extent Wise, have all cooled off at the same time add the injuries to the mix, and you have our current team a team that's probably as good, competitively, as the twins, but that's irrelevant at this point. these are the two weakest "playoff caliber" (quotes needed, obviously) teams in the American League and will be bounced in the first round at least Danks' and Floyd's arms won't be blown to bits by pitching needless innings in the playoffs, hopefully they'll be as good or better in 2009 sorry for the rant
  20. QUOTE (kjshoe04 @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 06:45 AM) I'm going to keep up the hope until it's over. I've invested too much time at this point to back out now. So have the players, and they seem to have had no problems backing out
  21. QUOTE (Mr. Showtime @ Sep 25, 2008 -> 06:08 AM) Floyd has come up big in these situations many times it seems this season. I just fear he doesn't have the 'magic' in him to get it done this night. Hopefully he does, and we can come back home and take care of things with the Tribe. i have a feeling it'll be similar to last night's game from mark stellar outing, but no "O" looking towards next year at this point
