That team was (IMO, wire-to-wire) the most dominant team this decade so far That's something to keep in mind
-
IMO, lineup for tomorrow should be (but won't be): SS 1. OC LF 2. Swisher 1B 3. Konerko RF 4. Griffey 2B 5. Ramirez DH 6. Thome CF 7. Anderson C 8. Pierzynski 3B 9. Uribe I hate Ozzie Guillen.

Shoulda let me start this thread, I actually have our ACE in my sig! Callin you BadluckBrian from now on

Jermaine Dye is an MVP candidate? REALLY? LOL The way this team has played since Quentin went down, CQ is undoubtably the most valuable player in the AL (IMO) But the award isn't really about who the most valuable player is, it's generally who the "best" player is, and a player who doesnt finish the season can't really qualify for it But it'd be hard to argue that Quentin wasn't the most valuable, even up until the end of the season

Debbie Downer time Mark gives up 4 runs (3 ER), and we lose the game 6-2 (Pen comes in, and gives up a couple as well, partly due to the defense in CF) -

If Ozzie doesn't have Wise hitting 2nd, and Junior OUT of the f***ing lineup tomorrow, I'm done watching this team for the rest of the season because I don't think he'll put them in their best position to win games from that point Ozzie, stop being a f***ing toolbag and assemble a proper f***ing lineup for once, dips*** If there was ever a time to micromanage a ballclub, as much as I hate micromanaging, this is the time for it Bust out the best f***ing lineup for these next two games, and here's a hint Ozzie It doesn't include Ken Griffey Jr, unless he's playing DH Comprende amigo? -
All I can say is pray we win one of the next two games, and hope Meche and Grienke display the Cy Young 'stuff' that they've exhibited in their games against the White Sox, meanwhile hoping we can scratch together a couple from the red-hot Tribe We have a 1.5 game lead, but right now it's more like the division is tied with the twins with them having homefield advantage (and what an advantage.....) for the next two games This team is a joke right now, except I'm not talking about the funny kind
-
Can we just play Toby "Hits to Opposite Field" Hall from now on, at least he tries hitting the f***ing ball where it's pitched We have enough dead-pull hitters in our lineup, Toby MF'in Hall is a better 2hole guy than AJ right now, and lately has called better games as well

QUOTE (joejoedairy @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 05:07 PM) anybody want to give me there mlb.tv account seeing as they dont have wciu in champaign where i go to school. it'll be blacked out in champaign, because it's in IL i have mlb.tv and it blacks the sox games out that are on WCIU, unless i connect to the internet with my Verizon data plan via my cellphone + bluetooth adapter, i guess Verizon's ISP address is an out-of-state IP, so mlb.tv doesn't see me as being in IL while using it i think they might have caught on though, i had some problems watching the sox/yankees series last week -

QUOTE (Brian @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 03:57 PM) This line up would produce 2 runs. And putting Junior in the game, instead of Brian would catapult the offense from 2 runs, to 6-7. Gotcha. -

LOL AJ batting 2nd tonight. LOLOL. Ozzie is a f***ing idiot Oh, and Junior in CF. Hahahahahahah -
QUOTE (caulfield12 @ Sep 23, 2008 -> 05:30 AM) Nope, that series was a 1-3 loss, but certainly not a sweep. Close. There's a one game difference between the teams this year overall, very even. Gotcha, but we did play a short two-game series against the twins at the Dome this year, and lost both games Tue 4/29 @MIN 3, CWS 1 Wed 4/30 @MIN 4, CWS 3

If I could name a specific aspect of our team, specifically our pitching staff, that needs to be locked down to keep us in these games: Holding runners on base Our pitchers need to hold the ball, throw to 1st a LOT, not give up your best pickoff move, and keep these guys on 1st base as much as you possibly can I'm tired of teams running at will on our pitching staff because they're inept at holding runners, it's ridiculous and it's time for a change
-
QUOTE (Greg Hibbard @ Sep 22, 2008 -> 10:23 AM) how is a team that hasn't swept a home series to a team not named seattle suddenly going to sweep a home series? aren't we 1-5 there? meaning a 1-2 series, and an 0-3 series 0-3 = swept, hence theyv'e swept a home series vs us this year
-
What do you guys think? Have we seen the last game of AJ hitting in the 2-hole? D-Weezy has seemed, at least for now, to solidify that part of the lineup for the better I personally hope we don't see AJ batting any higher than 6th or 7th anymore

we are toast in minnesota maybe this corpseball team will prove me wrong
