he's gone, I would be shocked if he survived til the end of the season. cross your fingers that he plays out of his mind until july
-
same. not a fan of Benetti+Stone Hawk had his issues and there were many, but I enjoyed his passion a lot. It felt like we had a 2nd coach on the broadcast that would argue with the umps when they'd blow a call

Are the 2023 White Sox the worst Sox team you've ever seen?
joejoesox replied to joejoesox's topic in Pale Hose Talk
I don't know if there are any Sox teams in the last 7-8 years that could overcome a start this bad tbh, 7-18 sheesh. -
It quite possibly could be that the biggest whiff by Hahn and co. on putting together a big league contender this year was to assume that you can just hire a new manager every couple years and all your players will just automatically play well with each other and all lead by example and be a carbon copy of their baseball cards I never realized how important it was to have a guy in the clubhouse who every single player respected and played hard for, until this losing streak
-
I don't know if I'm ready to say the clubhouse is "lost" or "broken" It looks like it's lacking leadership and guys are frustrated and acting out of desperation right now Abreu was the best we had to be a team leader, I know that much
-
Lance Lynn said in very specific words that the team leader has to play every day to get the respect of everyone in the clubhouse We let that guy walk. Now we have a daycare with a 20yo babysitter.
-
he absolutely does not want to coach this team and that's the smart choice, as a fan I would love that s%*# though
-
not gonna happen

was that danks rookie year, yeah that was brutal. after 2006 which was a . massive gut punch, the Sox have literally never been that good since IMHO -
Why so it will get worse? ? He needs another organization to fix him.
-
yes, he said it
-
Ozzie was on the score this morning. Said that Jerry isn't bringing in another team of managers to run the day to day s%*#, Hahn and KW are it unless they quit on their own
-
Benny or Vaughn should be leading off, won't make that much of a difference but imo they're your two best options
-
oh yeah TA and Giolito are 100% gone, I'll put money down on that if there's a site for it lol
-
oddly enough the TB series, they were actually competitive with them
-
he's scrambling to figure out how to play baseball, no different than literally everyone else on this team it's so obvious that everyone is pressing too hard now that they're buried in the standings
-
Ozzie was right, they need an actual fucking psychiatrist
-
the slow start, sticky ban, "new coaching philosophy that everyone is trying to learn", and everyone pressing too hard to overcompensate for the hole theyve dug is the biggest reasons outside of the same old organizational failures we've all talked about for the last 4-5 years I truly don't think most of these guys are nearly as bad as they're playing, I really don't (some guys are like Andrus, Romy, and the kid from the Royals that Grifol brought with him) Diekman wasn't this awful before he came here, and Bummer was good before his injury
-
Sticky stuff ban has almost 100% correlation to our pitchers suddenly forgetting how to throw a baseball. Listen to that Lance Lynn interview with AJ, he made it sound like they were using it a lot (could just be the way I interpreted it but you should listen to that interview!)
-
yeah but the story has already been written, that series is just 4 games of formalities
-
ball fucking game ?
-
god this made me laugh, I miss hawk NGL
-
I would say there's a near zero percent chance that the Sox coaches know these numbers re: Burgers speed
