  1. Yeah they aren't close at all, but at least they are doing something to show they are trying to get there. I would have preferred Mariners as well, anything to knock off the Astros.
  2. You have to overpay in free agency, just the way it is. The Rangers got better today with that signing, well see what it looks like 4-5 years from now but even then were taking about 25 million a year which might be nothing by then.
  3. I didn’t say I’d rather be the rangers, just said it’s more exciting.
  4. Honestly good for the rangers and their fans. They aren’t close to competing but they are spending money and the fans have something to be excited about. it’s more exciting than having an actual good team finally and wondering which dumpster they are going to dive as they squander a championship window.
  5. Well sounds like he got at least $175
  6. Wtf? This guy has been in the MVP conversation the past few years he was never getting the white sox special deal
  7. You’re in a fantasy world if you think these guys are giving out a contract over $100,000,000 this offseason
  8. Whose mad? You cant just retro the rules and say they would have been in the playoffs. It is what it is.
  9. No one should be surprised by this. And its not even just JR, you could make the case that this franchise is one of the most futile in MLB history. I love the White Sox and always will, but their history is staggeringly pathetic. Established in 1900. 3 Championships. 12 Playoff appearances, and 2020-2021 was the first time EVER they went back to back. Woof.
  10. What if they’re trying to start a new trend of majority roster of slow plodding DHs??
  11. We would sign Gausman to a big deal and then he would proceed to come here and put up an ERA in the 5's and be the most hated man on the planet by the board. That's my Gausman prediction if the Sox were to sign him.
  12. Actually he would cost a lot more than Max. Max only costs money, Bassitt requires young players we dont have the luxury to deplete.
  13. I mean, I don't think I would say consistently good and a high impact player are necessarily the same thing.
  14. Agreed. Chris Bassitt is not a high impact player.
  15. Yeah by some dumb team most likely, he’s a super sub at best
  16. Can’t believe Taylor rejected the QO
  17. Did he have a severe case? I don’t remember seeing that.
  18. Almost half of Atlanta’s lineup is people they traded almost nothing for this year, crazy
  19. I don't understand why each game doesn't have someone already looking at replays for everything and has the answer ready for when they come over to the headset. Not just for baseball, for all replays in sports. Someone could already have looked at it a dozen times and have the result ready to go. Why is this not a thing?
  20. We can’t have Rodon at 18 million and Kimbrel at 16 million, both of those really cripple our payroll, I assume
  21. You should really trade from strength. If you look at this team going into the off-season you could argue 2nd base and another good bullpen arm are two of our biggest needs. it’s what we gave away for Kimbrel who stunk and will most likely not be on this team next season.
  22. I don’t know, I was just looking at possible fits from projected FA
