  1. Man, that is WEAK He has a fatigued groin? Man, every time I fatigue my groin I can still function perfectly fine..
  2. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ Jun 4, 2007 -> 10:04 AM) delete thread. Seconded.
  3. We are ONE GAME under .500 with over 100 games to play Our hitting ALL AROUND has vastly underachieved so far The pitching is prolly gonna be like this all year.. I dont think they are performing over what they can do or under, the bullpen will prolly shape up soon anyways it was apparent they werent going to dominate as long as they did as it is.. I wish everyone would just relax here, jesus, yeah its tough as hell to watch this but we are not out of anything.. The hitting HAS to come around or we are toast, I cant see us being last in offense for this whole season.. If we are 10 under and way out of it in July blow it up, but RIGHT now? Gimme a f***ing break
  4. QUOTE(AddisonStSox @ May 31, 2007 -> 04:40 PM) Oh, yeah, I'd be excited too. You know how those rah-rah college coaches with a knack for coaching up snot-nosed college kids have a history of succeeding with the multi-million dollar athlete/thugs in the NBA. Congrats. As long as its not Hill, its great news
  5. QUOTE(BearSox @ May 31, 2007 -> 03:31 PM) Yeah, I realized that after I made the post... what a great Movie Spaceballs was though. Comb the desert!
  6. QUOTE(BearSox @ May 31, 2007 -> 03:25 PM) How is that one scene from spaceballs scary? and ranked in the top 5 (no. 4)? It was supposed to be from Aliens, they prolly just put that one there as a joke I wish all of the scenes worked, only some have a video.. that return of the living dead one was more funny than scary with that crazy zombie asking for brains haha..
  7. Thank god As a magic fan, this is great news
  8. QUOTE(Controlled Chaos @ May 31, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) If an ump calls a strike a ball, I don't expect the batter to tell him about it. If an ump says you were hit by a pitch and you weren't, I don't expect the batter to tell him about it. If an ump calls a homerun a foul ball...I don't expect the outfielder to tell him about it. Mistakes happen over the course of the game. Sometimes for you sometimes against you... I don't like them...I'd prefer everything to happen as it actually does, but that's not the case. However, if you have to use some outside force to change the play of a game then to me that's bush league. Grounding out and trying to knock the ball out of the first basemans glove cause you didn't do your job. Standing in front of a throw and letting it hit you cause you were going to get doubled off. Saying "I got it" or "mine" or even "boo" to the player about to catch a pop up cause your teammate couldn't get a hit. Telling a player a hit is a foul ball to get him to stop. These are all cases of someone not getting the job done so they try to cheat instead. It's just a personal preference I guess. If you didn't get it done...you didn't get it done....take your lumps I'm definitely not in the "if you're not cheating, you're not trying" club. If you listen to a player from the other team tell you the ball was foul instead of looking at your base coach then you aren't doing your job either and deserve to stopped there.. I do not agree with anything you're saying.. if your a pro, you shouldn't be messed up by these things
  9. QUOTE(SleepyWhiteSox @ May 31, 2007 -> 01:02 PM) Eh, movies stop being scary once you're about 14. Now I just appreciate a lot of those classics for being great movies overall. Most of the new ones definitely are crap. Random, but I tried watching those august underground movies but couldn't...not because of how sick, disgusting and disturbing they are, but because of how incredibly not interesting a movie with zero plot and no point is. The Ring scarred the crap out of me, as well as The Grudge.. those are the only movies I have seen in recent years that have actually had me scarred
  10. QUOTE(greasywheels121 @ May 31, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) Haha that's hilarious that you brought that up. I got my N64 stuff out last week, and we've been playing that non-stop lately. That and Mario Golf, man those games where the s***.. I only needed a couple games to be set with my N64.. Goldeneye, both Zeldas, and Marion Golf and Tennis
  11. QUOTE(Texsox @ May 31, 2007 -> 12:26 PM) Usually those list get about half right, this one is pretty damn good. Eh, old movies really arent scary.. They are to older people who saw them when they were young.. but I find it hard to be scared just because of how old it is..
  12. If they really wanted 19 to be scary, they would have put Johnny Depps Wonka on there.. now THAT was scary
  13. QUOTE(DBAH0 @ May 29, 2007 -> 09:43 PM) I recently started playing Virtua Tennis 3 on my laptop. If you remember, this was the infamous game that came on Dreamcast, and became sort of a cult hit I guess. Best tennis game ever to come out. And now they released an updated version of PC and PS3, with all of the cool minigames, and updated players such as Federer, Nadal, Blake and Sharapova. Good times a comin with this game. Im sorry but Mario Tennis for the N64 is the best Tennis game that has ever come out
  14. QUOTE(fathom @ May 31, 2007 -> 11:57 AM) You play to win the game (thanks Herman). If Jenks retires Hunter, then you have our 3-4-5 coming up, and the Twins have their bottom of the order coming up in the bottom of the inning. Yes, in football when you only have 16 games you have to make the overall best decision every time or you're f***ed.. its not the same in baseball and I am not saying that doesn't mean you don't have to play to win, however, whose to say that Jenks doesn't give up a hit or a walk? How can everyone just assume Jenks comes in and shuts Hunter down? Either way, the twins were scoring a run or ending the inning.. it didn't matter who was sent out there, there was a 50/50 chance regardless, their either getting out or scoring. And I really don't have a problem with the move that Ozzie made, because if we DID score in the top of the 10th im sure all of us would have been much more comfortable with a fresh Jenks coming out to attempt the save..
  15. QUOTE(Jenks Heat @ May 31, 2007 -> 11:39 AM) Don't team use different signals for cut, I got it, stop, go etc. to alleviate this from happening? If A-Rod knows this signal and yells it than this is kind of bush league. Defensive players can not mock snap calls in football. Thats not the same thing, you aren't allowed to move until the ball is snapped.. its more like saying a defensive back isn't allowed to yell at a receiver before he catches the ball.. There are plenty of noises going on, if "hah" causes you to miss a pop up, I do believe that should be your own fault
  16. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ May 30, 2007 -> 10:33 PM) You know, I tried this today, and it really felt like it made a difference. Nicely done, thanks. For the folks who were talking about lat pulldowns earlier, have any tips on technique for that? Alwasy wondered if i was doing those anywhere close to correct. Actually, if you want a good triceps workout do 3 sets of 10 skull crushers and after each set do close grip bench with the bar but push out and up from the bottom of your rib cage.. if you do it right, you'll feel it, it work really good
  17. yeah, if you're not cheating you're not trying
  18. QUOTE(Steve9347 @ May 30, 2007 -> 11:59 AM) id put my dick on the line that 30 out of 30 educated baseball general managers would take jose reyes over hanley ramirez 7 times a week and twice on sunday. I can guarantee you 30/30 would not
  19. QUOTE(Kalapse @ May 30, 2007 -> 10:22 AM) It's nearly impossible to choose one over the other since their numbers are just so similar over the past 2 seasons. This year: JR: .311/.395/.474/.869, 14 2B, 7 3B, 2 HR, 29:29 K:BB, 28:5 SB:CS, 136 OPS+ HR: .317/.392/.510/.902, 12 2B, 3 3B, 7 HR, 21:38 K:BB, 15:4 SB:CS, 144 OPS+ Over the past 2 seasons: LINE G 2B 3B HR BB SO SB CS .303/.364/.484/.848 202 44 24 21 82 110 92 22 .298/.362/.487/.850 207 58 14 24 77 166 66 19 steve.. owned
  20. They are showing a thing over hogzilla right now on discovery channel After digging him up, he was really 7 feet long and 800 lbs... not 12 feet and 1,200 lbs like they people "claimed" I don't buy this new one either
  21. QUOTE(Athomeboy_2000 @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:50 PM) I went last night and a whole group about 2 rows in front of us got kicked out for talking loudly, constently getting up and walikg aroud, and talking/texting on their cell phones. One guy actually got up, stomped up behind them and yelled "shut up or I'll throw you out myself!". He got allause. Eventually Loews kicked them out. Yup, just like how spiderman 3 was.. tons of high school kids talking non stop.. i was gettin so mad, especially since I got stuck by the aisle and they kept leaving and coming and moving around to talk to their friends they kept walkin in front of me
  22. For those who own a PS3.. Have you ever had problems with it? I know 3-4 of my friends who have 360 and already have had to send them back to Microsoft to get new ones because it always freezes I was gonna get a 360, but im thinking I might just get a PS3 instead if its the better system.. I haven't played or heard anything about it so im not that knowledgeable on the PS3..
  23. QUOTE(fathom @ May 27, 2007 -> 09:09 PM) I'd take him in a second for a deal around Gordon, Tyrus, and the 9 pick. Why so he can come to the Bulls and lead them nowhere too? The Lakers were only good because of Shaq, not Kobe.. It doesn't matter where he goes, they will never win because he is a me player and thats just how it'll be with him.. Gordon, Tyrus, and the 9th pick for Kobe would make the Bulls worse
  24. QUOTE(witesoxfan @ May 26, 2007 -> 02:57 AM) You have no idea how much $20 can get you apparently I have plenty of an idea
