Shingo is keeping the ball down. That is huge. Even if he walks Sheff here, it's at least on low balls. If he hangs one it's gone, so it's good to see him keep the ball low.

Awesome change-up. If he gets those pitches moving like he can these fastball hitters will be off. This is a good matchup for Shingo. He just can't get too much of the plate because his speed isn't going to blow it by 'em.

Adkins This deserves a spot on the roster when Wunsch is back (if they decide to keep him). Adkins has shown he can pitch in the bigs. Period. Now if only we could get Cotts to be the 5th starter, Wright to be the closer, and Adkins to be the long reliever we got something!

Regardless of what happens this inning this was a good outing for Adkins. He went up against the best lineup in baseball in a bad situation and held his own. Adkins is a good pitcher. HUGE K. Finish the job Adkins, finish the job.

A bunch of senior girls hazed some junior girls. There were kegs of beer there with nobody over 18 there. The tradition is that there is a girls football game and then at the end a "mild" hazing took place where the senior girls initiated the junior girls into their senior years. It used to be school sponsored (without the beer of course), but it got ugly. Last May it was awful. The seniors threw pig guts, feces, etc. on the juniors. A few kids videotaped it and it was all over national news. It even made it in some other countries. Good times. It was pretty funny. Just recently when I was out with a couple friends at open campus lunch a CBS news truck stopped us asking for an interview. I just walked away and basically ignored the news person. One of my friends was a dolt and did the interview. She asked whether there would be powder puff again this year, he said no. There definitely will be though. It's going to be out of Northbrook and they are going to strip search the kids for cameras from what I hear. Anyway, enough about that. Go Sox 8-4! I'm thinking Dransfeldt can play more positions and he hit well at ST. He bat .419. I saw him in 4 at bats and 3 of them he got hits. He has a nice line drive swing, but didn't show much power. The next Mike Caruso?
