  5. I like the White Sox.
  6. I just love how when I'm in Ames, I don't have CSN, but if a game is on ESPN, I can't watch.
  7. I will say I'd rather have a Pudge go crazy celebration than a Manny wait till it hits the seats to start jogging celebration.
  8. QUOTE(ViperPilot @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 12:17 AM) Tigers fans keep doing this because we find it funny how last your season was magical. Your season was special. Your season was dominating. Your pitching was out of the world. But OUR season is an anomoly. Sorry, can't have it both way.....I know sarcasm. This was whining. I never said anything about Tiger fans.
  9. http://sports.yahoo.com/mlb/news?slug=jp-b...o&type=lgns Happened across this article. Iowa gets screwed.
  10. QUOTE(ViperPilot @ Aug 6, 2006 -> 12:00 AM) About the same amount of CWS fans last year.....dude, get real with your posts.....Tigers not a real team? You need to go post on the thread with the Twins and BoSox because they're the ones you have to worry about right now......No real team wins from behind?! How many late inning, come from behind victories did you have earlier this year?! Learn to control your anger and frustration......you don't type coherently when you don't....... It's known as sarcasm. It's unreal that the Tigers keep doing this.

    Yay, all games done.
  12. QUOTE(tigerfan @ Aug 5, 2006 -> 10:54 PM) If that's the case honestly I say yes. I mean till this year, they hadn't been in the playoffs since 87, and finished below .500 every year since 93. So if we get in the playoffs, and fall short of anything else, that's ok. At least we actually got there for once. That's like saying, we'll take a really crappy draft pick just cause. I'm a Colts fan too. It's a letdown to no end.
  13. QUOTE(loltrain @ Aug 5, 2006 -> 09:11 PM) Yes, the Tigers get every break in every game we play, really we're a sub .500 team, and I suspect the Sox will pass us in the standings within the week. Ya gotta admit, the last week or so it seems like teams are trying to screw the Sox in the 9th inning against opponents duking it out with the Sox. Well, by teams, I mainly mean Cleveland.
  14. Time for me to jinx a little.
  15. fishin horrible.
  16. I now officially hate Helio due to their commercials.
  17. Anyone else following him? Now has his average over .350 for the Dodgers with a .568 slugging pct. Doesn't draw a ton of walks, but doesn't need to. Also a lefty bat in the outfield. Nice to see someone make Beane look stupid for dealing a prospect, especially for a board game, that is going nuts.
  18. My little chart....
  19. I needed the link for the front page....
  20. JAVIER VAZQUEZ!
  21. QUOTE(Balta1701 @ Aug 5, 2006 -> 05:37 PM) 105 pitches, not a shutout, big lead, at least one struggling reliever...no good reason to give Javy the ninth. Cotts really ought to get it. I know, but he's looking unstoppable. A CG 2-hitter looks awfully good in the Sun-Times tomorrow. Still, it wouldn't hurt Neal to work oout some kinks.
  22. Pods looked like a decent defender there.....cause Brian wasn't gonna get it. It's tempting to let Javy start the ninth at this rate.
